The BBC have claimed this is an all time high, with viewing figures increasing nearly 4 times on last year.

Lady GaGa’s set has been one of the most popular with almost 1.3million views, with Blur and Lily Alen also amongst the big hitters.

Mark Friend, Controller of interactive audio and music for the BBC said that they were ‘very proud’ of the stats.

They have estimated that around 150,000 calls were being made every day, to and from the festival.

The Glastonbury Festival sponsor said that they had particularly high levels of traffic during acts such as Lily Allen, Friendly Fires, Little Boots, Kasabian, Maximo Park, Florence and the Machine and Tom Jones.

They also revealed that before all the music started on the Thursday night at around 11pm, traffic levels were noticably high.

They say this this is because people were beginning to find out about the death of Michael Jackson.

Around 10,000 gallons of milk were consumed during the festival weekend.

Many experts say its a great choice for festival dwellers as it gives them vital nutrients and beats hydration.

The equivalent of 80,000 pints of milk were supplied to the festival through dairy wholesalers Masqueraders this year, something that Eavis helped organise and support being a dairy farmer himself!

Bruce Springsteen went nine minutes over the main curfew on Saturday night, resulting in a standard fine of three thousand pounds.

Eavis said he will happily pay the fine personally due to the quality of the Boss’s set.

He also stated that the controversial headliner that he introduced last year (JayZ) had helped bring a younger audience this year.

Eavis commented that all the different areas of Glastonbury had made it what it was, and it will be tough to top next year.

Rumours have been circulating for some years that the world famous festival will end soon, however each year seems to get better.

Jobs from producing, and directing to filming and reporting were all necessary to provide good coverage.

The BBC admitted that the intense staffing had cost them a mega £1.5 million.

Organisers said that they managed to isolate the festival goers quickly, and therefore felt that they never posed any threat to the other 177,000 people there.
