Glean the Lord's Harvest

Sing with us! Praise with us! - THE WORSHAPERS!

2012-03-29T00:31:00.001-07:00

The Gleaners Music Team are so ready for another level up. It's Voice Training time for the Worshapers this time around.

Come and join us in this rare opportunity to be trained and shaped through our voices and spiritual songs.
We are more than blessed to be trained and gleaned by no other than Pastor Abraham Zaldivar who's extensive training in music and credentials speaks for itself. Ptr. Abe is UP College of Music graduate and a Papuri Singer himself. Thank you Ptr. Abe for your patience on coaching us (^_~). God bless you more...

This training is a bi-monthly event that will run for LONG! It started last February 26 and goes every other Sunday of the month. We are having lots of fun along with the invaluable skills that we are getting from our voice coach. We are fervently hoping that this one too would prosper and that we will be gleaning more and more WORSHAPPERS in Glean the Lord's Harverst Community Church. Let's fill the house of praise with songs that sing worship and adoration through the gifts of voice blessed upon us by our ONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL GOD!

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. - Psalms 47:6-7

GLHCC youth celebrates Music-Love-Bond with JICA

2011-09-12T18:51:00.000-07:00

It was May 27, 2011 when the GLHCC youth was invited to perform and mingle with other young people from different churches hosted by Jesus Is Coming Again Church at Novaliches.

The event dubbed as "Music-love-bond" is a youth gathering of songs and performances especially tailored to cater the young generation. Inspirational talks were also given during performance breaks.

It was a night of offering the young talents... all for the Glory of God.

Let's all bring back the GLORY of MUSIC to its author and creator - God!

"For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at His tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord." - Psalm 27:5-6

"Leveling Up Now Your Bravery": The GLHCC 5th Anniversary Celebration

2011-05-10T01:39:00.000-07:00

Labor Day 2011 is the day for GLHCC's 5th Anniversary Celebration. Anchored with this is the year's theme " Leveling Up Now Your Bravery". This calls for putting our faith a step higher "to the next level" as we face the brand new challenges to come our way as a group. In line with this leveling up is also the challenge to finally finish the "Landmark of Greatness' Mezannine" which will house our Sunday School Service for our kids.

Here's to the "Level-Up" at Glean the Lord's Harvest Community Church last May 1, 2011.

"So keep up your courage... have faith in God" - Acts 27:25

Good Friday 2011

2011-05-08T21:10:00.000-07:00

It was a busy and blessed Holyweek for GLHCC this 2011. First off-it was a week away from the 5th GLHCC Anniversary celebration hence the preparation are on peak-mode! But to ease each burdens out and really prepare us for another big challenge, Pastor Rodrigo Bacus spoke before us on our Good Friday Workers Team Building activity.

It was a mouthful of inspiration that we've got from Pastor Rod. In a gist, his message was how we, WORKERS IN THE CHURCH, were compared to a SOLDIER, an ATHLETE and a FARMER.

Here's to the gathering on the Good Friday 2011 at Glean the Lord's Harvest Community Church.

The day Macoy and Clan tied the knot

2011-04-13T23:45:00.000-07:00

Last April 11, 2011, GLHCC has been a witness to the wedding vow of Sis Clandestine and Bro Macoy. Here's to the good times along with the GLHCC people on their special day.

Before a GLHCC couple walks down the aisle...

2011-04-06T20:20:00.000-07:00

On April 11, 2011, a new GLHCC couple will be tying the knot. Bro Macoy Bruno and Sis Clandestine Academia.

But before the much awaited wedding vow, a celebration of their singlehood in the form of a stag party and bridal shower was simultaneously held.

Bro Macoy along with the GLHCC men held their stag party inside the church.

Sis Clan along with other GLHCC women celebrated her bridal shower at Sis Ping's house.

The days are too long, I know they can't wait for "THE DAY" to finally come. Best wishes and God bless you Bro. Macoy and Sis. Clan from your GLHCC family!

As the Scriptures say, "A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one." This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. -Ephesians - Chapter 5:31-33

A sneak peek at GLHCC after the church building interior makeover

2011-03-22T19:44:00.000-07:00

Last Sunday, March 20, 2011, we've got a new feel inside our church building at Glean the Lord's Harvest Community Church. The church interior finishing was already commenced. This is in preparation to our 5th Anniversary and also the for launching of the Pre-school that will be housed inside it during weekdays.

Here are some snapshots of the church interior experiencing a makeover.

This is how the interior looks before:

Curtained walls and stage, cemented floors and roof without ceiling.

This is when the construction is already ongoing. This is last March 12,2011 during Music Ministry Practice.

The finished product:

Now the kids can roam around without having to worry much on them catching dusts and dirt because of the bare concrete flooring. Now it's granite that touches their feet.

This was indeed a move of faith. To God be the Glory. Now and Forever. Amen.

This is one of the line-up songs last Sunday , March 20. True to its word "GOD IS REALLY SO GOOD!"

Yuletide Cheers through songs and carols from Glean the Lord's Harvest Community Church

2010-12-16T17:51:00.000-08:00

The Holidays are upon us! It's Christmas time in the Philippines!

They say that our country -the Philippines has the longest Christmas Season in the world! Amidst all the financial and economic crises we are encountering here and abroad, we surely can't skip the merry making and joyous celebration of Christmas time!

Indeed it is the season for reunions, parties, peace talks, cease fires and gift-giving. And for our church, we welcome the Season with yuletide cheers through carols and songs of praise. Starting 16th of December up to the 23rd , we will be visiting different houses and sing songs of cheers and carols to our benevolent benefactors.

This year's cause is for the upgrade of our Landmark of Greatness which will be on its second phase of construction.

Here's a peek of our fun last December 16th. (I just hope I have clearer pictures than this (^_^)hmmm...)

We visited 18 houses that night and after the tedious and larynx-exhausting carols, soup was served hot at Sis Jo's house.

We also gave out tokens to the households that we visited, a thank you card and a 2011 calendar showing GLHCC weekly activities.

It was our first time (me and Percival) to join the caroling event and it's really worth the join! Amidst the tiresome activity, we feel much fulfilled knowing that we are doing it for the benefit of the Church , who will apparently lead more souls to worship the true Reason for this Season and that is Jesus Christ!

Psalm 100 (KJV) "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."

Dulce- Asia's Diva sings and testifies for God's Glory

2010-11-29T20:24:00.000-08:00

We've got one blessed night with a myriad of talents packing the SM Cinema 9 stage last November 28, 2010.

It was Dulce , Cathy Amaca of Papuri and puppeteer Ruther Urquia with puppets Titoy and Lolo in the house.

Papuri singer Cathy Amaca soothes us with her Christmas medley and rocks the centre stage with the modern version of “Tsuper ng Buhay”. Joining the performance are her two equally talented sons in guitar and beat box.

Pilipinas Got Talent Finalist, Ruther Urquia, filled Cinema 9 with gales of laughter as he started to throw punchlines after punchline with his puppet Titoy and Lolo. It was just amazing how people can have such extra-ordinary talent and use it for the Glory of God.

Asia's Diva Dulce showed her prowess in singing as she banged the stage with “You Light Up My Life”and the new version of her signature piece “ Ako Ang Nagwagi” which was apparently the last song written by highly acclaimed song writer George Canseco before he died. The song from being of gloomy low hearted character turned out to be a bold and powerful in solemn praise for God. The performance is simply superb.

Dulce singing "You Light Up My Life"

Dulce - The Asia's Diva

Apart from their exemplary performances on stage, what really impressed me the most are their testimonies. Cathy Amaca tells how successful her Christian albums and singles have been while modestly uttering “All for the Glory of God” in her success stories. Ruther Urquia humbly narrates his achievement, that he from being deprived of college education because of poverty pursued his career, did his part in working for the missions of the Lord through puppeteering. He also told his story on Ondoy, how he and his family have been spared from the tragedy of the dreaded flood. The laughter he brings on stage is infectious, and he used it as a key in bringing people closer to God. I won’t forget the “God Bless You Ka!” phrase from that night on.

And Dulce, how can I ever forget this lady.. She’s got really great talent in singing and got one good testimony of her life. A story from her childhood to married life and now how she has been into the ministry and reaching out to her fellow artists about God’s goodness. She was one great workmanship of God and I praise Him for her life. Her new version of "AKO ANG NAGWAGI" is a very inspiring song for all of us Christians.

Thank you Pastor Andy Alcoba and Jesus the Living Stone Churches and Ministries for choosing Glean the Lord’s Harvest Community Church as one of your partners. The event was a successful one and all praises be to God.

Ultimate Church Software Package for Free

2010-11-18T19:06:00.000-08:00

While surfing sourceforge.net for some useful open source code for my work, I stumbled upon this really good stuff, an ultimate church database management software. Church Software is used to display Bible verses, Worship Songs, MS PowerPoints, Videos, Birthdays and Wedding anniversaries to the projector. Moreover it can handle databases such as membership data and songs repositories. You can also add modules for bibles and commentaries from free and open sources.

The Church Software GUI

Reasons why I really like and would recommend this Church Software:
1. The graphical user interface is easy to handle and very presentable.
2. Projection in an LCD projector is easy.
3. It supports 69 languages.
4. It comes with a preset of songs, bibles and bible study topics and images but of course we can always add our own sets of songs and devotionals in there, it's fully customizable.
5.It's open source. If you have some brilliant programmers in your church, they can easily enhance the features of this software and let it fit in exactly how the church needs it.
6. Its FREE. When piracy has always been an issue among us Christians, it is really great that that we have this kind option to consider. Something that won't compromise our faith.

It is really of big help to all pioneering or even established churches. A complete package of useful stuffs for our church. This is a must download for churches.
