One of the great things about Glee that was thoroughly missed is Sue Sylvester's unadulterated commentary on pretty much everything. In anticipation of our show's return, it seems that every Monday a new Sue's Corner will be posted online.

This week's topic: Sneaky Gays.

With snark and wit, Jane Lynch reminds us why we love to loath Sue.

Best line? "Neil Patrick Harris, you confuse me... and then I hear you're actually not a doctor."

Day 95: Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

So it's been ages since I last blogged. I suppose that's a slightly good thing considering that I haven't felt the need to update/moan/bitch/blog about missing Glee...

But O.M.GLEE --

You smell that? That is the stench of Sue's glorious return to McKinley High... and it. smells. FANTASTIC!

I actually made that little fanart by adding in the "less than a month" text and the whole "line crossing out and inserting Sue's name" thing...

But the original promo pics are just as great!

So yes... the greatness that is Glee will be back and with a whole lot of theater thespians, lots of drama, and a whole lot of cover songs!

I cannot WAIT!

Day 70: Katchup ain't just a condiment

... it's also a way of allowing you to get to know me and what I've been doing the past few days.

So, usual vault rules apply. If you want to know...

Work. Work. Work. That's what I've been doing. That and catching up on some of my other shows I partake in (as mentioned in a prior entry).

Oh. And reading fanfiction. The Happiest We've Been In Awhile has become one of THE best stories. More than anything, it has totally opened my eyes to a new UC (uncanon) couple and is a blessed relief from the overwhelming amount of Puckleberry (Puck/Rachel) fanfics out there. I think I might have praised and raved about this story before and you know what? It deserves to be praised and raved as much as it can!

Even if you cannot fathom the idea of Puck with Tina (which I certainly couldn't before this tale), at least try it out for the quirky side characters that are Mike and Murt (the fanfic author's nickname for Kurt and Mercedes). Especially Mike! She has given him on of the best quotes out there that I just had to facebook status it! "Creativity often leads to a life of misunderstood brilliance. Don't hate."

Anyway, read it. I promise you'll enjoy it!

Now... for one of the main reasons I'm posting today...

Last night, after coming home from a night of consoling a friend and drinking (completely getting bust up and yeah... hangovers ain't fun) and seeing Valentine's Day (in which Taylor Swift played dumb blonde and Taylor Lautner sadly did not take off his shirt and other big name stars were in this delightful rom-com), I came home and prepared to fall asleep watching the newest episode of American Idol. Now, I normally can't stand the show. I stopped watching every episode few seasons back -- however because of Glee and it all being on the same channel I decided to watch in hopes of catching a few glee-ful nuggets of my show here and there...

Okay, so I've pretty much watched this... uh, about six times now. By week's end, I'll probably have viewed it to the point where I can quote-- uh, damn it I'm already quoting (as noted by the blog title).

Eeeeeeee! I want to be a part of the Glitterati! I want to see more Jonathan Groff (mark my words, once people see Lea and Jonathan together they'll be like "Puckleberry who?")! And, oddly enough, I want more Sue sporting cone bras!

Day 57: Of Taylor Swift, FYeahs and 6-bee

Two. Months.

Damn it's been a long Glee-less winter...

But as the days go by, it gets a little easier.

So with the Grammys being a big deal, Miss Taylor Swift has been in the media spotlight.

Anyway, the reason why I'm discussing her royal country-ness (is that even a phrase? huh) is because of various articles stating that she has stated that "I'm really loving GLEE right now" and she would be open for them to possibly cast her.

I would be totally open for that... OR how about the Glee cast covering one of her songs?

I could totally picture either Rachel forlorn and singing this song to/about Finn... OR Quinn forlorn and singing this song as well:

Day 51: Blue Moon, You Saw Me Standing Alone...

Tonight marks the first full moon of 2010, and it's said to be the brightest and fullest of the entire year (also known as Wolf Moon).

So it's been a while since I posted. Wonder how I've spent my Glee-less days?

Well, in between googling for Glee-worthy news (like Idina Menzel filming her Glee scenes) and giggling over the cuteness of Dianna Agron on set w/ Matt Morrison (click. oh please click. it is so cute that it makes my Quinn/Will heart aflutter!), I've been involved in fanfiction writing!

Yes, you read right. I write the fanfiction too!

I'm not a Glee-fanfic writer, however. At the moment, I couldn't fathom writing something as awesome as say... The Happiest We've Been In A While (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, even if you're not a Puck/Tina fan -- this author WILL convert you otherwise!).

But I am currently working on my other fandom series that I had previously written...uh, including the current one I'm working on?... uh SIX stories?

Which fandom exactly? This one:

WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE

I have a soft spot especially for the Justin/Alex pairing (odd and kinda ick b/c they're brother/sister but DAMN IT if Selena Gomez [Alex] and David Henrie [Justin] sizzle on screen!). At Fanfiction.Net I have an account. Under my author name Sweetwater Gal, you'll find a lot of my stories.

I had written two "Jalexy" ones (Music Is Love In Search Of A Word and Regular Guy) and my latest project involves a Future-fic (where a story takes place in the future, obviously) AU (alternate universe) where Justin Russo is a wizard private eye (dubbed the Just In Case Files).

So yeah... I'm preoccupied a bit with my fanfic writing and it definitely helps with coping of the lack of... well, Glee in my life.

Day 45: Timberlake say "Glee?"

Okay, so it's awesome enough that Lea Michele expressed interest in casting Justin Timberlake for a cameo on our beloved show...

Well, what does our Sexyback artist have to say about that?

According to a Red Carpet interview for this year's 2010 Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) Awards, Mr. Timberlake had quoted that "No one's asked me to be on GLEE."

You know what that could mean right? All it takes is for the great Powers That Glee to give the greenlight (for fuck's sake they're trying to woo JLo!!! Why wouldn't they want the ex-*N Syncer?) and who knows?

Still unsure as to whether Justin could blend in with the quirky cast? He's got great comedic timing... There's a reason why his guest-spots on Saturday Night Live are memorable. Take this one for instance...

And of course... if you remember the early nineties (like I sadly do...), you might recall that pre-boy band days, Justin Timberlake was on this television musical/comedy series called The Mickey Mouse Club.

Viola;

That skit was actually one of my favorites! because not only did it have an uber young Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling, but I honestly believe that JC Chasez had hit his head... L.O.L. with me!

But of course Justin is most notoriously known for amoungst other things like (not including affiliation with Miss Oops I Did It Again Spears). Lea Michele has said that Justin could give Matt Morrison a run for his money when it comes to dancing. Need proof?

So yeah, combine the fact that he's funny, can sing, and can possibly outdance Matt Morrison, I'd say that it would be a great Glee-ful addition to an amazing show!

Day 44 going on 45: Twilight Crack!Blog

This as brought up nearly a week or so ago (in tune with The Golden Globes)... But this pertains to my latest blog topic.

So... how does a Twilight Musical sound?

I know. I know. I am awaiting the sour apples and tomatoes to be thrown at me. C'mon. You know you want to.

But seriously. If FOX could successfully pull off a quirky dramady musical, then what say you naysayers that don't think that the fanatical vampire series could be pulled off as a Broadway show?

For fuck's sake, they did the Anne Rice classic; LESTAT: The Musical!

So, picture this casting if you will (and I apologize beforehand for this crack!blog);

For Edward Cullen... I'm imagining a really loft, stalkerish, brooding fella whose voice can not only seduce you, but cause a chill down your spine as he stares and sings his way into your heart... For your consideration; Mr. Aaron Tveit. Most infamous for guest-starring in Gossip Girl, but the Broadway world knows him for his stints on Wicked (which Idina Menzel won her Tony Award from), Hairspray (which Matt Morrison originated the recent revival of), and notoriously from Next To Normal.

If you actually watch the Broadway performance of this song, you can get where I see the whole "hot stalker" vibe... If he played Edward Cullen, I'd so willingly jump ship.

Speaking of said ship, who do you suppose should play Jacob Black? At the moment, I actually have no clue...

And Bella Swan? The girl that launched a thousand "Woe is me for loving a vampire"?

Again, currently I have no clue... Maybe I should've thought long and hard about this crack!blog before actually posting it.

... eh, or maybe I should end this on a Glee-ful note?

Day 41: O.M.GLEE!

Sunday, January 17. The event? The Golden Globes.

Glee had just won for Best Musical/Comedy for a Television Series.

Buzz was now circulating... Especially as the awesome Neil Patrick Harris was seen chatting up with Ryan Murphy (one of three of this show's creators). Here is pic proof positive:

On of Glee's biggest fans, Michael Ausiello (an Entertainment Weekly columnist), had gotten a slight scoop that NPH would not only love to, but might (and that's a big stretch considering that NPH is on CBS and Glee is FOX) appear on the hit show...

I am sooo proud of this show! Especially more so knowing that they dethroned flippin' 30 Rock and The Office (hardcore contenders for years now).

I am a little sad that Matt Morrison, Lea Michele and Jane Lynch didn't win their prospective categories (more so over Jane Lynch's... robbed! Robbed I say! Kitties will be sent out...), but other than that I am so stoked that the little show that could WON!

I want to celebrate... And I can only think of one thing so far to honor this amazing show!

For those that only know of him as "That Doogie Howser dude" or "That Harold & Kumar dude" or even quite sadly as "The gay dude"... you have not been touched by his awesomeness.

If you're reading my blog, then you are in fact at least aware of musicals (if not, I am both shocked and pleased that you are here at all).

GLEE SCORES SECOND SEASON PICKUP!

... they also scored a cameo by Miss "Hopelessly Devoted" Olivia Newton-John (for those that don't do pop culture, she's of Grease fame, "What's Grease? Kill yourself!"). Apparently she will be singing a duet with our own Coach Sylvester to her known gym-tastic single "Let's Get Physical."

Very apropo if you ask me considering sweat bands and working out doth make a common Sue Sylvester image...

But Yeah! Go Season Two! Was there any doubt? (yes... yes I hang my head in shame over it...)

The one Glee News-tidbit I'm not so excited for is the whole nationwide talent search for three new roles on Glee come second season. Why? Because I've grown a slight bit attached (okay, "slight bit" is a total understatement... obsessed leans closer to home) to my plucky band of twelve kids! Including the minor roles that are Brittany (no Fox, don't take away my loveable ditzy blonde who puts both Kurt's and Sue's one-liners to shame!), Santana (our Sext Goddess), Mike (c'mon! he's Other Asian for fuck's sake!) and even silent cutie that is Matt! Not to mention that they already have a big cast that they have a hard time focusing on main storylines without it seeming all jumbled... I'm just saying! Keep the core, damn it!

... Unless I'm over-reacting and the possible three are just roles for the fact that beyond Season One is the chance for our kids to head towards State Competition? After all, with the back nine focusing on Regionals, I can totally see why adding three new "competing" roles would make sense.

Okay. Drama Q Soap Box moment averted...

Day 33: Of fanfiction, books, and Razzles

So I learned something valuable at work today; never load up on sugar before writing on a whiteboard, least you unintentionally allow yourself to sniff ink.

... Yeah, it was an interesting first day back at work.

Anyway, now that I slightly got your attention, I want to make a fanfic recommendation.

Be Yourself & Five Other Cliches

Summary: In which Kurt can be butch and Puck can be classy and Mike's terrible at keeping secrets and everybody's in the celibacy club (which Kurt eventually destroys), and why the hell hasn't Matt said anything yet?

Pairings: Kurt/Mike, Puck/Quinn, Puck-Kurt friendship.

The only two major ships are Kurt/Mike and Puck/Quinn, but essentially it highlights a lot of what-if Puck and Kurt became really good friends (lots of epic funny one-liners there!). If I hadn't already been onboard for the slash pairing of Kurt/Mike, this is the story that can definitely make you fall in love with the two! And yes, I'll use this cliche; I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more, and most of all I fell in love with the story!

Moving on... so I've set a goal for myself. I've realized that this past year (damn '09) I hadn't read as much books like I used to. My average used to be 3-5 books a week. Six on a slow week. But ever since my job change, my engagement, and other things, I have yet to average so much as three books every two weeks! Not to say that I can't read a +300 pgs in a day (like riding a bike, I can speed through 5-8 hours/per book), but I loved the joy of getting through a book and feeling accomplished for each book I've absorbed.

So I've resolved to read a book a day for one year. I've come across other blogs where people have done so, but I wonder if they had the limited time like yours truly? Or are they retired? Or are they vampires that can do a lot of things at night at a higher speed than most mortals? (last part I really was kidding... really.)

I'll keep you posted as to my progress...

And finally, a hour ago I had watched 13 Going on 30. I heart that movie! I heart the chemistry between Jennifer Garner (Jenna) and Mark Ruffalo (Matt). I heart the soundtrack (totally 80's!). And most of all -- I just heart/love/want to marry and have kiddies with the ending! So sweet!

Favorite line?

Jenna: Wanna know a secret?

Matt: Yeah.

Jenna: You're the sweetest guy I've ever known.

I believe my prior blog talked about the movie a little but if you need a refresher as to the love story...

Oh, and FYI: Razzles are AWESOME!

This article takes it one notch above what I had posted in my prior blog by not only adding which two songs are a possible mashup, but who(m) is singing what!

Oh and yes, you've read right... Naya (aka Miss Hottie Latina Santana) will finally be heard!

I'm still hoping to find out who will sing my favorite Madonna song (and if you haven't figured it out by my prior clues); "Crazy For You." I love that one so bad! And if you're wondering from which rom-com I spoke about that used it...

I know, I know that it's technically Liz Phair's "Why Can't I?"... but you get the gist as to what movie "Crazy for You" was featured in (towards the ending; damn youtube and the man!).

Oh! And great news! Gives us Gleeks great hope -- especially since I'm still weary of FOX;

GLEE to Get Early Season Two Renewal?

Rarely (especially with FOX) does a show get a greenlight for another season pickup. But with the popularity of Glee, gee how could we not have such hope?

Day 29: Express Yourself

Often times I've wondered; Why?

Why in the world am I getting obsessed over a television show?

Especially one as -- let's face it -- follows in the tradition of Cop Rock and High School Musical?

If I'm honest with myself; I guess the most simpliest of answers is: It makes me happy.

Admit it, when life starts to suck you often need something -- desperation sometimes leads something to be anything -- to bring a smile to your face (even if you want to either cry, scream, rage, etc.)

Long time ago, I realized that I crave simplicity. Simplicity in my job. Simplicity in my personal life. Simplicity in my family.

Like when you were a child and the only things that made your day were hugs, cookies, and quite possibily a talking muppet/puppet. Simple.

And despite my craving for the big city lights, Broadway, and travel; I found the quiet and simplicity in those big dreams!

You ever find yourself sitting alone on a rail train, staring out the window at the roving pictuesque view, headphones playing a tune you know backwards and forward yet... and yet you've never felt so a silent peace before?

Or sitting in a city park, a book in your hands, the hustling and bustling of traffic and life moving all around you, skyscrapers towering overhead with people walking and talking all around yet... and yet you've zoned yourself -- and only yourself -- in the experience of doing this all on your own?

Obviously I have or I wouldn't be talking this way...

My point is, I'm one of those people that found the joy in not just being alone, but finding the essence of simplicity in an otherwise complicated world.

In Glee I found that joy. Despite all the baby-mama dramas, despite all the love shaped explosions, despite the outrageous numbers, despite the tears that have sprung forth... I see in Glee the pure joy it has brought to me each week it was on.

What I also found is the smile (and the loud obnoxious singing) brought upon my lips everytime I listen to the soundtrack.

Which is what I'm doing as we speak (currently "Proud Mary", few moments ago "Bust a Move").

Despite the fact that (for personal reasons I dare not speak) I feel like crying and raging all at once... I smile because I atleast feel a flutter of joy amidst my anger and sorrow.

... though looking at my playlist right now, I fear that tears will actually trickle down as soon as they croon to "smile even though your heart is breaking..."

Day 27 going on 28: PTO, Promo, and Psych-- Yo!

Which means I get to stay at home and... well, I'm not quite sure how to spend my time-off.

I really really want to find other screencaps from that particular promo FOX is airing in Italy (which can be found on youtube HERE)! Besides the Rachel pics (Lea Michele Web | image gallery), and the Will pics (which are mostly seen at FYWill&Rach and I dare not desecrate by stealing from awesomeness), I could not find screencaps for the damn promos ANYWHERE!

... you know, times like these where I create such pretty fanart (as posted above), I wonder just how far into the fandom I've fallen, dove, collided, deep-shitted, drowned myself in.

And honestly, I know I should consult a 12-step program... but I know I'll end up relapsing and all will be totally lost!

Because I'm such a musical whore and this show is a flippin' godsend to someone would love to see it in a more mainstream role (as opposed to the stream that is dubbed "dorky" and/or "elitist").

Speaking of "dorky"... for the last couple of days I've been spastic over this music video.

I love Psych. It is such a delicious dramady that I dare believe that while others try to imitate, they cannot replicate the kickass-ness of this series! And while Burn Notice is actually my numero uno USA Network Original Series (because have you seen this show? have you seen Jeffrey Donovan? have you seen the pretty firearms that his gal pal uses? One word, three letters: H-O-fuckin'-T HOT!), I do enjoy a few chuckles every now and again that Psych provides.

And the actors? Don't take themselves a lick of seriousness. Again, have you seen that promo I posted above? Not only is it a blatantly AWESOME shout-out to the original video by Hall & Oates (80's baby), but it is what that show does best; give blatantly awesome shout-outs to the infamous 80's (not just known for their bad fashion, but for their unique music and classic movies).

You know what I'd love to see? I'd love to see any of those actors on Psych do a guest-role on Glee. I very much doubt it seeing as Psych belongs to an NBC owned cable network (have we forgotten the parade that never was debacle?). But still... god what I wouldn't give to the cable gods.

Though I suppose I've asked enough seeing as they did save me the money and effort to switch from TWC to Dish.

*sigh* So, I see the time and I know that my PTO has begun... what to do... what to do... hhmmm, I could watch Glee. But then again, when haven't I had it running through my head?

Day 26: FY it is THAT. AWESOME.

So I've been in a creative slump.

Sure I could chalk up this blog as an outlet to run my creativity wild (for fuck's sake have you seen the amount of love and html codes I've pumped into my baby?)... but I shouldn't stifle, should I?
As we speak, I'm listening to my Glee playlist and wondering whether or not I should write a Glee fanfic.

I've done other fanfics (Wizards of Waverly Place, Life With Derek, and Joan of Arcadia are examples) so it's not that I'm a novice when it comes to the writing prose.

But a Glee fanfic? What would I write about? Would I base it upon a particular ship (like most gazillion Puck/Rach fans have)? And if I did, which one (Will/Quinn? Will/Rach? Puck/Tina? Kurt/Mike?)?

*sigh* Decisions... I'll let you know if I decide on anything...

Oh, speaking of decisions... I wonder if I should invest my excitement upon this little tidbit:

The MADONNA Songs Likely to Appear On GLEE Are...

For those that need want to be spoiled, I'll just leave the link as is. From what I've read, I'm pretty stoked that they listed one of my favorite Madonna songs (give you a hint; it's not one of her latter hits and it's been in one of my favorite rom-com).

So as to whether or not I'll be jumping with glee over the news, I'll just wait until it's been confirmed (though the article's source is Playbill.com but their source is... *shrugs* not official.

Oh! I must post this because this is very, very... well, entertaining to watch and/or sing-along (which is odd considering I've rarely come across a flashmob that warranted me singing along with).

You gotta love them flashmobs!

And on a final note, I must give mucho love and shout-outs to this tumblr called Fuck Yeah Will and Rachel. Yep, you heard me. I said Fuck Yeah Will and Rachel. There. I double shout-out and linked! That's how fuckin' awesome Fuck Yeah Will and Rachel is (oh yeah, I THREE TIMES linked).

A tumblr is a mix of a livejournal/blog and a tweet (twitter for those that are still hiding under the rock). I stumbled upon it the other night while I was googling other Glee blogs. I'm too much of a rambler to get onboard the whole tweet/tumblr thing, but I definitely troll the site because it is insanely awesome (especially for someone like me that is a shipper and fan of Will/Rach). From the amazing picscans to the different scenes and photos... There are other Glee tumblrs that have nothing to do with that particular ship, but I just love Fuck Yeah Will and Rachel (it also helps the adoration that I get to drop the F-bomb multiple times).

*sigh* Although I should probably end the bombings so from now on, I will refer it as FYWill&Rach.

Day 23: Raise your right (your RIGHT) hand...

First off; Happy New Year!

My New Year's wasn't as great as years passed. Went to a family party, wished I got wasted just so that I can do away with the mental image of my grandmother getting drunk and playing bingo (Sue, I'll trade you the walrus imagery, please?), wished even more for an alcoholic haze as the neighbors around me decided to light as much fuse as a military personnal during practices, and capped the night praying the cable gods not to have a blackout on my local FOX affiliate.

And so far this... You know... I'm slightly tempted to... ah hell, why not? It has a "New Year" vibe to it... It's corny. It's cheesy. But oh so apropo because that's what I love about "musicals"...

Despite it all (the weird syncing of singing voices of [Zac] Efron and [Drew] Seely), the lyrics sold me upon the fact THAT's how I felt when fell in love with Glee.

Anyway, moving on... so I'm stoked. Praying to the cable gods worked! (please bring back Glee early, please bring back Glee early)

Time Warner Cable and FOX had -- hours ago -- strike a cable deal, agree to new fees. This all means that yes, sports fan keep their football and we will get to see Glee upon its return in April! Woohoo!

Oh and so, this Gleeker was thinking (usually a bad thing) and my creative -- somewhat twisted -- juices were flowing and lo and behold I came upon this little inspiration.

In honor of the New Year, I've come up with a Resolution List for the Hard-core Gleeker in all of us.

And because this list is special, if you intend to take part in it, you must raise your right hand (the other hand for all you Brittany's out there) and swear to do your best in upholding them (I certainly will try).

If you listen to the song before viewing the performance, judge it not solely on audio but by performance. Perfect example; the use of "My Life would Suck without you"... Kids Bop-ish by sound, KICK-ASS HOMAGE by sight!

Day 21: Holy Crap On A Cracker

... I can't believe I'm going to say this but;

I have something better to look forward to than the return of Glee!

I'll give you a moment to get over the shock.

As explained a few posts back, I actually did have other fandoms-slash-hobbies-slash-interests-slash-obsessions prior to Glee.

One of them was a lovely book series created by the ingenius mind of Dennis Lehane. Specifically the series was dubbed as the Kenzie/Gennaro (or Patrick/Angie) series. Two Boston P.I.'s that were not only childhood friends/sweethearts (however you saw it) but also on-again-off-again lovers, best friends, partners. What made the series for me (besides their oft partnership with Bubba, a crazed psychopath bodyguard that's absolutely loyal/attached to the due like a big rabid puppy) was the grittiness and the morally gray areas his storylines cast.

For those that haven't read the series front and back (like me), they most know of his work through the amazing film adaptations of his novels -- first with Mystic River (a stand-alone not part of the original series), then Gone Baby Gone (fourth book in the series), and coming-soon with Shutter Island (another stand-alone not of the series).

So moments ago I was watching the USA Network airing of "Gone Baby Gone" and doing some online researching when I came upon this long ago (two-three months old) article HERE.

Specifically this portion;

Lehane credits the deliberately ambiguous conclusion of Gone, Baby. Gone – a novel about the kidnapping of four-year-old Amanda McCready – as the stimulus for reviving his interest in the series. In his still untitled sequel to that work, which Lehane expects to be published in 2010, Amanda is a teenager and has gone missing once more. Patrick Kenzie, now 44, is drawn into the case.

“I thought I would never write about them again,” said Lehane of his series characters in an October 5, 2009 Boston Herald article. “Then all of a sudden I thought, what would it be like if a girl walked back into your life that was part of the most guilt-inducing decision you had ever made.”

So... None the less I was OVERJOYED! Filled with abso-fucking-lutely with... oh yes, I will use this pun... GLEE!

*does a giddy dance* I would be more than happy to have THAT BOOK out before GLEE!

Why? Because I have been waiting at least FIVE fuckin' YEARS for the newest Patrick/Angie books! Shudder to think how long the hardcore-there from the start fans have been waiting!

So, yes, while I am currently addicted to Glee... I had just remembered (if only for an hour) that I did have a life before it.

.... *sigh* I guess one for the road, though.

Mr. Schue as a singing Nazi soilder (more importantly, singing and shuffling a Mel Brooks' masterpiece)?!

Day 20: And the clouds parted as I held the DVD in my hand...

as the heavenly angels cried with joy.

As opposed to them crying with sadness because the balloon popped. Heh.

So today at Costco I picked up my Glee Season 1, Vol. 1: Road to Sectionals DVDs.

Let me tell you, my Winter became a lot more warmer after the purchase was made and I got to carry this cargo home with me.

Silly, I know. Spending twenty-something odd dollars for half a season's worth of DVDs when I could've waited for the actual full pack.

But let me tell you what, in the end, the actual price to be paid were I not to get my personal fill of Glee;

Three months of whimpering every time I walked past a DVD stand and staring at what could've been in my collection.
Hours of boredom because I would not know what to watch were I to get a sudden craving of Mr. Schue.
Endless PMS-ing and channeling of Sue Sylvester if/when I'd get annoyed at my significant other.
My sanity going over the edge during this long Glee-less Winter.

So you see? This DVD set actually is a godsend by the FOX Corp. for all those hardcore gleeks that need an outlet to their starvation. Granted I had to sacrifice money that I could've otherwise spent on something else (like food, gas, neccessary items)... but what is merely $25 when it provides this deprieved gleek with thirteen hours of pure HAPPINESS.

Because honestly, just like other people that go to movies, or watch sports, or read, or even shop find is that they need a short distraction from whatever's either bothering them or pissing them off or... well, I think you get the point.

If not, then watch Disc Three, Episode 11; Hairography. It's a distraction, but an otherwise beautiful one.

Day 19: Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I'll buy GLEE Tomorrow...

And when I have it within my grasp, I will find a proper place for it... more than likely it'll probably sit right next to my Broadway Cares 2008 Snowglobe... Rachel Berry would be honored.

Anyway... moving on...

Lately I've been on YouTube and either fondly watching movie clips or trailers for upcoming films. I used to explore the site also for various fanvideos (much like fanfiction; except they're clips from the show with a soundtrack to tell a story via music video), but for some reason I find that I cannot get into Glee fanvideos.

For me, reading is one thing. I love reading (as I've mentioned HERE). But watching a fanvideo (especially a shipper one) for a show where it provides its own soundtrack? It's a little hard for me to swallow... Don't know why.

... No. Wait. I think I do know why.

Maybe it's the fact that I -- unfortunately -- am a shipper without a large ship. See, I like the idea of Rachel and Will (romantic-wise, though yes I do realize that it is currently illegal in most states). I also adore the idea of Quinn and Will in a father/daughter-fashion. And, okay, I'm slowly growing to like the idea of Puck and Tina (for which I blame HanaDear's Happiest We've Been In Awhile)...

But in a fandom that is dominated with hardcore Will/Emma fans (Wemma, *shudders* damn you lazy fanatics of Bennifer and Brangelina!), Finn/Rachel (Fichel, I know, right? *rolls eyes*), Quinn/Puck (Team Evil, love the name but I'm "eh" with the ship)... and the most hardcore of ALL hardcore; Rachel/Puck. AKA Puckleberry...

Seriously, I haven't seen as hardcore shipper fans since the great Harry Potter shipper wars (and anyone that's been around web forums as long as I have... oh god, you still recall nightmares...)!

So, it's kind of hard to wade through the sea of videos (and sadly even in fanfiction) for the one that you like when it's chock full of Puck/Rachel THIS and Puck/Rachel THAT.

And hey, don't get me wrong... I'm not out to BASH any of those fandoms. Trust me. I know what it's like, as a fan, to get your ship sunked (former shipmate of the SSS Harry/Hermione, article HERE summarized debacle, though I was gladly NOT that hardcore, but it still hurt as a fan).

But from what I've learned, THAT is what fanfiction (and, yes, even fanvids) are for.

In short, I shall end this blog with at least one final note...

NEVER...

GIVE...

UP...

HOPE!

Because someday your ship might just find it buried treasure; and it will be beautiful.
