The second season of the musical comedy-drama television series Glee premiered on September 21, 2010 on Fox in the United States, and is expected to consist of 22 episodes. The season will initially air in the 8 pm (ET) time slot on Tuesdays, then move to the 9 pm (ET) time slot on Wednesdays after a special episode following the 2011 Super Bowl. The season was produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Ryan Murphy Television, with series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk as executive producers, alongside Dante Di Loreto.

The series focuses on a high school glee club called New Directions, set within the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. Season two will follow the club through sectional and regional show choir competitions, to the national competition in New York City.

Glee Season 2 Full Episodes Review

Glee Season 2 started off with a great self-effacing recap that I thought bode very well for the season. The writers had clearly listened to some of the feedback on the web and from critics and anytime you become self-aware about your work, it stands to reason it will get better. This has turned out to be somewhat true for Glee in it’s sophomore season but there are definitely a few problems that have developed that have given me a reason for concern. However, first the good:

Glee: The Complete Second Season DVD

The Positive:
+ Coach Beiste is a welcome addition and is a better fit than Tanaka. More opportunities there.
+ Chord Overstreet as Sam is also a nice addition and replaces Matt in the group.
+ Naya and Heather being promoted was a good call. Both bring some great things to the table and add to the diversity in the group. In the same light, Harry Shum also getting promoted was a good call.
+ The Rocky Horror tribute was well handled
+ John Stamos fit in with the cast and this show like a glove.
+ Gwyneth did an pretty nice job as well.
+ Nice balance of music/story/comedy in most episodes.
+ Also loved Charice’s guest spot. Very talented and fit nicely with the cast.
+ Darrin Criss is awesome and a very likable character. Also love the warblers. Not a Katy Perry fan but I did like their version of Teenage Dream a lot.
+ Corey sounds a lot better this year so far.

The Negatives:
+ The Britney episode was very clumsy. It was a fine idea and I don’t have a problem recognizing her impact on music, but the way it was executed just seemed forced.
+ Parts of the the Wedding episode were also very clumsy. Sue marrying herself didn’t work. It was absurd and should have stayed in the writers head. Waste of a perfectly good Carol Burnett guest star. (I did enjoy their duet together)
+ Way too much focus on Kurt to the exclusion of other characters. I do like some of what they’ve done with his character this year. I always thought it was unfair that Finn took all the blame for the situation down in Kurt’s basement when Kurt was equally to blame and to the writers credit, they covered that. I also liked the “picked on” angle where Kirk is getting singled out by an in-the-closet guy even if the “tough guy turns out to be gay” was not much of a surprise. Obviously kids get picked on for many reasons at school and how painful that is makes for great TV. (Though I wish they’d make the point that more than just gay kids get picked on.) However, there is so much focus on Kurt – and sometimes inappropriately so like the over the top wedding episode – that the other characters suffer because of it. Clearly, Chris is a very talented actor and singer. I enjoy his presence on the show and think it works great. However, I wish it didn’t have to be at the cost of all the other characters because right now I’d love to see some Puck, Quinn, Sam, Rachel, Will/Emma or even some Santana or Mercedes story lines.
+ Not nearly enough Will and Emma (especially the Emma part)
+ Lea’s character isn’t getting a whole lot of opportunity to sing much this year which is a shame given how talented she is. Yes, I know she got lots of chances in Season 1, but we’ve almost swung too far the other way this season.

Perhaps things will balance out over the remainder of the season and the characters that are being left in the background will get their chance for a storyline as well, but right now it feels like far too much focus in being placed on a select few and some of what made the show so strong in Season 1 is being overlooked as the show tries to tweak it’s formula.

Overall I still really enjoy the show and will continue to watch and hopefully as Season 2 unfolds a better balance will be struck and we’ll get back to the show we all loved in Season 1.

This book would be a quite interesting read. It lists every Glee episode up to the final episode from the first season. Additionally, it informs the readers concerning the cast, and private tales

<img src="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51QiK7dqKXL._SL160_.jpg" height="160" width="107" rel="nofollow" title="Don’t Stop Believin’: The Unofficial Guide to Glee" alt="51QiK7dqKXL.
using their auditions for that show. It also lists the mistakes which were recorded in each episode. I’d never observed them before, then when I returned and saw the episodes again, it had been
fun to see them as i was watching. Overall, it had been a really well writen book, and that i personaly loved it.

This is actually the first book I’ve ever bought for that hit Television show Glee and i’m loving it a lot.

The authors did lots of searching on each episode and offer the entire picture both off and on stage. A backgroud summary of each song and also the narrative and also the stars interview and thus many nutrients to become investigated. I discovered this very useful.

It was a choral rendition of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” that first put Glee on the map, the thrilling end to an intriguing pilot episode that aired after American Idol in May 2009. After the full season began airing that fall, Glee became the most talked about show on TV, a musical-comedy-drama of colorful characters and soaring production numbers. Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) is a teacher at an Ohio high school who decides to coach the glee club (or show choir) that he belonged to when he was a student. The initial members are a ragtag bunch of social outcasts: born-for-Broadway diva Rachel (Leah Michele), big-voiced Mercedes (Amber Riley), wheelchair-bound Artie (Kevin McHale), stuttering goth girl Tina (Jenn Ushkowitz), and closeted gay Kurt (Chris Colfer). But things get interesting when the club starts to prepare for the sectional competition and manages to add some of the school’s popular kids: quarterback Finn (Cory Monteith), his bullying teammate Puck (Mark Salling), and cheerleaders Quinn (Dianna Agron), Santana (Naya Rivera), and Brittany (Heather Morris), the final three planted as spies by Schuester’s rival, internationally acclaimed cheerleading coach Sue (Jane Lynch). Meanwhile, a triangle develops among Will, his wife (Jessalyn Gilsig), and the school’s obsessive-compulsive guidance counselor, Emma (Jayma Mays). Other relationships get tangled, faces are slushied, and Sue plots the club’s destruction while tossing out plenty of zingers. (Note that parental discretion is advised due to some mature themes.)

Through the course of its initial 13 episodes and another 9 that aired in the spring of 2010, Glee transfixed its audiences with its offbeat combination of humor and drama and its musical numbers, ranging from Broadway to classic rock to rap, or even merging them together in the show’s famous “mash-ups.” Michele and Morrison, both with Broadway résumés, get the biggest credits (check Michele’s roof-raising “Don’t Rain on My Parade” or her “Defying Gravity” duel with Coifer), but the whole cast sings and dances with skill and heart. It didn’t take long for entertainment powerhouses of all stripes to take an interest in Glee, either as contributors (such as Madonna, who lent her music to a full episode) or as guest stars. Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth makes numerous appearances as glee-club alumna April Rhodes (none better than her duet with Morrison of “One Less Bell to Answer” and “A House Is Not a Home”), and in the season’s best episode, “Dream” (directed by Joss Whedon), Neil Patrick Harris and Idina Menzel (Chenoweth’s Wicked costar) sing terrific duets with Morrison and Michele, respectively. Other guest stars, to often-humorous effect, include Josh Groban, Molly Shannon, Eve, and Olivia Newton-John. At the end of the season, well-deserved Emmy wins went to director-creator Ryan Murphy (Nip/Tuck), Lynch, and Harris, and Morrison, Michele, Colfer, and Chenoweth also earned nominations. –David Horiuchi

Glee Full Episodes Season 1 Review

5.0 out of 5 stars

First, all of these low reviews are based on the fact that people bought Season 1, Volume 1 DVD’s of the show – and are now mad that they are releasing a full season on DVD. Here are a couple of points that you should acknowledge before putting up a low rating:

1. They started selling Volume 1 before the entire season was complete. If you think about that for a minute – how were they going to sell a “whole” season DVD if the shows had not even aired yet? How can you be surprised that you would then be faced with a choice at the end of the season between buying the full season in one set or having to buy Volume 2? Other shows have done the same thing, like Battlestar Galatica. Sure, they do it to make money – to hit the market while the shows are hot – but the fault is really the consumer. If we all stopped buying these 1/2 season DVD’s, they would stop selling them. You KNOW they are gonna release a full season DVD at the end of the season. Heck, even if a show is cancelled, they still release it on DVD to make extra money. Be patient.

2. Volume 2 is listed here on Amazon for pre-order and they are giving a discount to anyone who bought Volume 1, if they buy the whole season 1. Don’t make it sound like you are being forced to buy the whole season now. You have the option of getting Volume 2, or getting the full season at a discount.

As for the show, I love it. The writing and dialoge is well crafted and the characters, though somewhat stylized, are believable. I will admit, that the last couple shows seemed to lose a step and allowed the music to become more important that the storyline – so, hopefully now that the urgent competition is over, the story lines would be allowed to grow. I did like that they have broadened the focus, allowing the supporting cast to do more solo work and shine more in the singing department. The character of Sue is one of the best characters written on any show today.

Now that the first season is out on Blu-ray, I would encourage those who have heard about the show – who may have caught an episode or two – to start at the beginning and enjoy the Glee experience. We finally have a show that combines comedy, drama, musical features, and good writing. Take the chance.

This calendar looks great. The photos are high quality and the paper is not too thin. A moderate amount of space to write in on the dates, wish it was a bit more, but it’s probably adequate. It does have some pretty minor innuendos that I wasn’t aware of before buying (are you questioning my badness, it’s all about the pleasing and not about the teasing, I’m a dude and I have needs) I’m hoping my 7 year old doesn’t read these and ask me what they mean! But, all in all, I’m happy with my purchase and I think this would be great for any of you Gleeks out there
