It's FINALLY HERE!!! Can you feel the excitement? Yes, the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition 2, available for sale today at 8 AM CST!! You all know that stamping is a huge part of my life, so of course I love it -- I do! But I must say I have *extra* love for these cool new images, they are so fresh, fun and cutting edge, (not to mention GORGEOUS)! I can't wait to create with each one!

Welcome to our release party blog hop! Each of the Design Team members is showing off one of these lovely new images. I have the privilege of leading off the festivities this time with Marianne, who is workin' off all those virtual calories AND looking fabulous! As soon as I saw her I said to myself "Pink workout clothes! Definitely!!" So I ended up with this pretty patterned paper and some Soft Suede (Stampin' Up!) cardstock to accent it. I stamped Marianne in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics. Some color accents with the Ranger white gel pen when that was complete, then matted her and the rest of the layers, added the Glitter Dots (one of my Top 5 Embellishments for sure!) and she's ready to rock!

Victoria Case Stamps Challenge #25

A busy blog day today with two posts, be sure to catch them both!! For Victoria Case Stamps, Thursday is challenge day! This week we have a sketch, MY FAVORITE!! You can check out the Victoria Case Stamps Challenge Blog for all the challenge details.

My image is a Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD), and this is one of the Everyday Gals (Ms. MyTime). I personally love taking bubble baths with my time, so I think she is very appropriately named! I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I cut the image to size and matted on Kiwi Kiss cardstock, then added some pearls. The patterned paper is Basic Grey Urban Prairie, one of my all-time favorites. This is a sketch challenge card, and the sketch called for skinny vertical panels on the left side, which I of course turned in to RIBBON! PWC77 - Got the Blues?

Hello again! You might remember from last week, but Wednesday is Paper Pretties showcase day, with a new blog hop and challenge each week! Full details on the challenge can be found on The Paper Clip.

We would love for you to ink up your Paper Pretties stamps and play along with us. This week the Prettie Girls have THE BLUES! Our challenge to you is to make a monochromatic card using BLUE, plus black/white. I know I cheated and used brown instead of black, but I had to coordinate with that cutie little teddy bear! For my card I used Beary Best Friend Cooper. Isn't he just so squeezable? What a doll! I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The sketch is TESC89 from a couple of weeks ago, I loved it so much I had to repeat!

Victoria Case Digi Release!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!! It's going to be a two-post day so get ready! First up we have a new digital release today for Victoria Case Stamps! Woo hoo! This little Pumpkin Fairy is just one of the images you can grab today so check them out at Victoria's stamp store.

My colors are (appropriately) Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wasabi, with some fall-themed patterned paper I got at Target of all places. Nothing too wild and crazy about this card, but I was pretty happy with how she turned out.

I printed the digital image using Photoshop Elements onto PTI white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and did some color highlighting with the Ranger white gel pen. Added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter using the Quickie Glue Pen (the bestest around for adding powders!!) for her wings. Ticket corner punch and some gems on the main image and she's ready to go! The sentiment is from the Butterfly Wishes set from The Greeting Farm.

TIOT43 - Scene It!

Welcome to this week's Try it out Tuesday from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design! This week our challenge is to create a SCENE using one of the new Victoria Case Winter Wonderland images -- keyword: TIOT43!

I thought about this challenge for quite a while, and in the end I decided to make a diorama card. Love these! They are so cool to look at and fairly easy to make. I used several images from the latest exclusive stamp collection from the SCACD store called Victoria Case for SCACD - Winter Wonderland. Loving these sweet winter images! I used Skater for my main image, and since she's out enjoying herself on the lovely winter day, I added a light snowfall on the front acetate sheet as well using silver ink. The snowflakes are only available if you purchase the full sheet of stamps, but remember, Susana offers a HUGE discount for doing that, 25% off!

The main image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers, then cut out tight to the image. To make the background of my scene, I embossed the Cuttlebug snowy village onto white cardstock and added some color to parts of the image with my Copics. I also added some tint to the pond she's skating on before painting with Winter Frost Inspirations Paint. Glittery snow went onto the rooftops using my Quickie Glue Pen.

I popped up the skater so she sits in between the acetate window in the front and the village in the back. Added a little winter holiday sentiment and a bit of bling and she is all set! LPS Monday - The Carolers Are Ready!

It's MONDAY!! The weekend flew by! We had amazingly gorgeous weather here BOTH days, sunny and close to 70 degrees (remember I live in WISCONSIN). Just wonderful.

But yes, it's Monday, I have been learning to love the Monday because of the {LITTLE PAPER SHOP}!!! Every Monday there's a new challenge (fully funded by the generous Julia with PRIZES) and the Design Team brings new inspiration. It's a good thing. Embrace the Monday!

This week we have a sketch for you. Keyword: LPSC41. You can see the sketch above, and here is my contribution using {Katie Caroler}:

I colored Katie with Koh-i-Nor pencils and Gamsol. Followed the sketch for the layout. I colored a clear button with my Copics to customize it for the card and layered the ribbon and sentiment tag over the top. I think that's it for the highlights!

Try It Out FRIDAY - Sketch Time!

TGIF!!!! Oh yes, it's been a long week. But it IS Friday - woo hoo!!! Since this week Susana from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design took a few days off for herself (MUCH deserved) and also some store maintenance, we moved Try It Out Tuesday (#42) to Friday -- just in time for the store shopping cart to be back up and running (a bit later today) and WEEKEND SHOPPING!! Woo hoo!

This week's challenge is a sketch, see above. Here is my card:

And I realize as I'm typing this that I used the "Is it Friday yet?" sentiment that comes with the full set of these awesome Victoria Case for SCACD Everyday Gals -- and at the time this card was going to post on Tuesday so it was a perfect accident!! That gave me a giggle.

Anyway - the card details. I stamped Ms. Chardonnay in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and did some color highlighting with the Ranger white gel pen. I cut the image to size and matted on Kiwi Kiss cardstock. Once she was all set I used a Quickie Glue pen to add black glitter to her entire shirt. It is sooo sparkly and fun, just right for a night out on the town! I colored white Prima flowers with my Copics to match her skirt and added the sparkly Petaloo Dazzler flowers on top. I cut out the circles using Classic Circle Nestabilities and omitted the sentiment to stamp just the parts I wanted. Remember, the sentiments are only available when you buy the full sheet of stamps, and you don't want to miss out!

Mercy's Sketch and Copic Colors!

How has your Thursday been going? Good I hope! I wanted to post this card earlier today but I was working and didn't get a chance. Here I am now though!

SO, part of why I was so anxious to share this with you...did you know that Paper Pretties is sponsering the Copic Colour Challenge #38 right now?? Yes!! It's true. As always, it's a gorgeous color combination this week, and Christie from Paper Pretties has generously donated a stamp set for the prize! Love it, right? I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for my card {MTSC46}, this is a really good one, sooo versatile and really classic. Here's the sketch if you want to check me!

For my card I inked up Cuddle Me Sophia from Paper Pretties. I think she's probably my favorite Sophia (so far, ha!), she is just so sweet. I colored her with Copic markers (of course!), cut the image out with Nestabilities and put the card together. The paper is from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses - my current favorite!

Victoria Case Stamps Challenge #24

As I mentioned in my post yesterday, I am a Guest Designer for Victoria Case Stamps for November. She just had a "fairy" sweet digi release yesterday, if you missed those go check them out! There is inspiration on the Victoria Case Stamps blog for those new images too.

Ok, so for Victoria, Thursday is challenge day! You can check out the Victoria Case Stamps Challenge Blog for all the nitty gritty challenge details.

This week's challenge is of the color variety - Forest Green, Cranberry and Ivory. Sooo pretty! It made me think Christmas (of course; it's that time of year right?!) so I printed off this sweet little digi snowman and colored him up with Copics. I went with a simple layout here, some pretty patterned paper to accent the color combo and these cute sentiment pieces from one of the Dress It Up buttons collections. Perfect for that Christmas frame of mind!

A Prettie Birthday Sketch - PWC76

Ok, this week's Hop is extra-special because we are showering Prettie Girl Heather with some belated birthday wishes!! Yes, her birthday just passed and we're celebrating with a Prettie Wednesday Challenge (PWC76) and a birthday blog hop. Here is the sketch by Danielle (who has come to the end of her term with Paper Pretties, but will still be stalked!).

For my card I used Gliding By Sophia. I just love Sophia! She's the one who got me started loving the Paper Pretties images. Doesn't she look like she's having fun? I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Her muff and earmuffs are done in white Sparkly Fluff; it's flock with added glitz, you just can't go wrong there!! I made the sentiment on the computer since I didn't have anything that went "just right" for a birthday.

Victoria Case Stamps - New Release!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!! I have some exciting news to share this morning; I was asked to be a Guest Designer this month for Victoria Case Stamps! How fun! You have actually seen Victoria's stamps here before, she has several exclusive lines that are licensed through Susana's Custom Art and Card Design as well.

This *adorable* little fairy is one of the new digital stamps being released TODAY at Victoria's stamp store. You can see some more inspiration with him and all of his fairy friends from the rest of the Design Team on the Victoria Case Stamps blog.

I used last week's sketch from Mercy Kerin, the girl is a sketch genius! This is MTSC45 - and I did make the card while the sketch was current, heehee, but I couldn't post it until today! Check out the sketch:

I printed the digital image using Photoshop Elements onto PTI white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and did some color highlighting with the Ranger white gel pen. I cut out the circles using Classic Circle Nestabilities. Then I cut out my little dude and layered him on top with dimensionals. Added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter using the Quickie Glue Pen (the bestest around for adding powders!!). Paper is Basic Grey Marrakech and the punch is Martha Stewart.

This little guy is TOO MUCH FUN!! Every time I look at him I smile! I think he reminds me of my impish but sweet little boys. :) Check him and his friends out at Victoria's stamp store today!

Store and Stamping News

Hi everyone! Just a quick post to let you know that the Susana's Custom Art and Card Design web store is closed until Friday at about noon (PST). Susana is doing some site maintenance and she's taking a much needed break as well! The shopping cart is turned off but the store is still active, so you can browse all you like and make your wish lists for later! Also, the Try It Out Tuesday for this week has been moved to Friday so I will see you back here then!

Happy Monday!! Did you have a good Halloween? It was cold here but the kids had a blast so I'm calling it a success!

Well today IS Monday so that means it's time for inspiration from the {Little Paper Shop} and another challenge too! This week's challenge is from Mel, who is SADLY leaving us on the DT, *sniff* *sniff*, you know she is AMAZING!! She challenged us to combine digital images with LPS stamps on our creations. Keyword: LPSC40. What fun Mel, thanks!! My digital image is the fairy on the flower and I added a little plant at the bottom of the main image {stamp} and the sentiment and flower on the sentiment circle are both stamps as well.

I decided to combine our challenge with this week's Taylored Expressions sketch {TESC89}. You know I love Taylor's sketches! Here it is so you can check me. ;-)

I Feel Prettie!

Today's the official announcement day! TIOT41 - Metal Musings

It's Tuesady!! Do you love it?! We have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design for you today! This week's challenge (TIOT41) is called Metal Musings - Suzanne wanted to see the metallic tools (Smooch, Creative Inspirations Paints, etc.) and the metal embellishments (brads, clips, charms, the works!).

I first chose my main image. I decided to pull out another of the Special Edition Ornament Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD images -- this is called Surprise. I LOVE her hair!! When I grow up I so totally want Elisabeth Bell hair. ;-)

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. After she was colored up, I cut and matted her and added my first metal pieces - silver brads on the main image. I set her aside and worked on the rest of the card. Patterned paper is from Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. The card base is PTI Sweet Blush painted over with Fairy Dust Inspirations Paint to give it that SUPER SHIMMER! You can catch some of the background shimmer in the top left corner of the photo. I just painted it onto the entire card base, let it dry, and then assembled the rest of the card. The silver sentiment frame is from a hardware kit.

LPSC39 - Circle Sketch

Just another Manic Monday! heehee. The good news is, that it is time for {Little Paper Shop} Monday and another challenge! Today we have a sketch for you (above) making a CIRCLE CARD! This challenge uploading keyword LPSC39. Here is my contribution - I used {Merry and Bright!}, I am really feeling in the holiday spirit lately with all the Christmas and wintery cards! Here is the sketch:

Of course I have to be difficult and flip the sketch! I wanted to use this sentiment set today so it had to be done! The basic card deets - the colors are So Saffron, Always Artichoke, and Riding Hood Red. I made the circle with my Classic Circle Nestabilities. Patterned Paper is Basic Grey Wassil. You're seeing this ribbon a lot here lately, I know! But it matches the BG paper so well. :) I made the bow using the SUPER COOL Bow-Easy tool. You know how much I love this -- everyone needs one! I used a brad bar under the sentiment and I punched out the snowflake and mounted it onto the cardstock circle with an Artichoke brad.

TIOT40 - Winter Wonderland Table Time

Welcome to this week's Try it out Tuesday from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design! This week our challenge is "Table Time" - create something for the holiday table {fall or winter} -- keyword: TIOT40!

You can see my table in full in the picture above. I used several images from the brand new exclusive stamp collection from the store called Victoria Case for SCACD - Winter Wonderland. Loving these sweet winter images! Even more so now that it's back in the 60's outside here, heehee. I used Kringlet and BFFs for the candles, Cocoa Puff for the menu and the snowflakes for the napkin garnish, along with a sentiment from the original Susanaments sentiment set. LPS Monday - Sketch Time!

The start of another week already - I can't believe it! That means it is time for {Little Paper Shop} Monday and another challenge. Today we have a sketch for you, drawn by Julia! This challenge uploading keyword LPSC38. Here is my contribution - I used {Boo!} again, Halloween is coming up fast! Here is the sketch:

I reached for the fun Basic Grey Eerie patterned paper again today. It's much spookier than anything else I had around and I love it! I stamped the spiders and web in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock, hand-drew the curly web coming down, and layered it all on with Perfect Plum cardstock. A really versatile and easy sketch to work with!

Happy Saturday out there in blogland! I hope you all have some big stampin' plans! Today I wanted to share this card that I made yesterday, just for fun. I saw Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge {WSC102} and I knew I had to play along! I paired it up with this adorable Falling For You Sophia from Paper Pretties, added a fall theme and viola! I think that little Sophia is just adorable.

I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and did some highlighting with the Ranger white gel pen. I cut out the main image and the mat using Classic Oval Nestabilities. As a finishing touch I added a dot of Lime Green Stickles to each scallop. Here is the sketch for comparison:

Winter Wonderland is HERE!

It's here!! Today is the day of the new release from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design!!! We previewed these yesterday and they are arriving TODAY - the new collection is called Victoria Case for SCACD - Winter Wonderland and they are full of winter goodness and FUN!!! Those who know me know that me proclaiming that is a pretty big deal as I am not a big fan of winter. Winter-themed stamps though? Bring 'em on! I love making pretend snow, heehee.

Without further ado...meet "Winter". Doesn't she look warm and happy? I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and did some highlighting with the Ranger white gel pen when all the coloring was done. Best white gel pen evah! I think maybe I've mentioned that a time or two... I added white flock to all the fluffy parts of her coat, for those of you who don't love flock, you should try to Velvet Flock that Susana carries, it is less clumpy than other flock I've used and it goes on really well. Better yet, try the white Sparkly Fluff, it's flock with added glitz, you just can't go wrong there. As a finishing touch I made some glittery crystal snow with Frosted Lace Stickles.

I played along on a sketch challenge for today's card, this is MOJO108. You can see the sketch below (I rotated it 90 degrees clockwise). The paper is from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses and the cardstock colors I chose are Ruby Red and Baja Breeze. The clouds are made by sponging with a template (see a tutorial here).

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you're having a great day! It's a busy one here on my blog as we are right in the middle of a fabulous BLOG HOP to celebrate the upcoming release of the newest exclusive stamps for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design!!! The new collection is called Victoria Case for SCACD - Winter Wonderland and they are just amazing. So....WELCOME all you happy hoppers arriving from Aud's Blog! She is so talented, isn't she?! And a tough act to follow, LOL!! Even so, I hope you enjoy my project, featuring Santa. :) He looks pretty jolly, doesn't he? I had a lot of fun with him.

I know you're anxious to continue the hop so I'll just hit the highlights of this project. It's a little hanging box (see the ribbon handle in the front of the photo) decorated with patterned paper and of course Mr. Claus. I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I added white flock to all the fluffy parts of his suit, and I did that wonderful, crunchy crystal snow with Frosted Lace Stickles. Cut with Classic Rectangle Nestabilities and added to my box. Topped it off with some yummy Mint Milano cookies {for Santa of course} and it's a perfect gift!

LPSC37 - A Spooky Boo!

Welcome to another week! That means it is time for {Little Paper Shop} Monday and another challenge! Today we have a sketch for you, drawn by our very own Allison. This challenge uploading keyword LPSC37. Here is my contribution - I used {Boo!} to create a spooky scene!

My colors are Perfect Plum, Soft Suede and Green Galore. The patterned paper is Basic Grey Eerie. A simple card today, I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock, built up my headstone and colored with Copic markers. Sponged on some color to "dirty it up" a bit, added the PP and put it all together.
