I’ve always been fascinated by ice sculptures.  It amazes me the things that people can sculpt out of ice, not to mention how long they seem to take for them to melt.  Anyway, this isn’t the first piece of Star Wars themed ice I have posted as a long time ago, I posted a really cool Star Destroyer ice luge, but there is something much more impressive about this one.  Perhaps its the level of detail that amazes me on this awesome AT-AT ice sculpture which was photographed by Bill Linn at a wedding.  If only this would never melt…

In the past, I posted a great Yoda cake that was surrounded by LEGO bricks, but I wouldn’t call it a LEGO Star Wars cake quite like I would this Anakin Skywalker LEGO Star Wars minifig cake.  This huge 15″ LEGO Star Wars themed cake was apparently made to celebrate somebody’s 10th birthday.  C is for Cake Sidney is the awesome cake makers behind this amazing and delicious looking Anakin Skwalker LEGO Star Wars minifig birthday cake.  If the size comparison between the cake and the actual Anakin Skywalker LEGO minifig is any indication, a 10 year old is going to be on a huge sugar high after eating this cake.

I’ve posted a ton of geeky bars of soap in the past, but this one might be one of my favorites for sentimental reasons.  As a kid (and even to this day), Tetris was always my favorite Game Boy game.  I had a rather sizable collection of great Game Boy games but nothing challenged me quite like Tetris.  As memory serves, my record was 305 lines but I could easily break 200 in every game.  Anyway, Etsy seller Digitalsoaps is selling this fantastic little bar of soap that looks exactly like the Tetris Game Boy cartridge for just $5 + shipping!  It even includes an old Game Boy cartridge case!  I WANT!

I really don’t have a clue, but I am guessing that it has been probably at least 15 years since I have seen (much less played) a Centipede arcade game.  I always loved the game but I don’t think it was ever that popular around here compared to games like Pac-Man or various pinball games.  Well, it seems I am not alone in loving the retro game as a Texan got this awesome Centipede arcade tattoo inked on his arm.  Lee B. of Liberty Tattoo in College Station, TX as the tattoo artist behind this piece of retro gaming body art.

In case you guys were wondering why I haven’t been posting all of my usual geeky awesomeness this week, I am battling the flu and haven’t felt up to blogging.  Thanks to a lack of sleep, I’m not really able to focus so I am trying to spend what energy I have on homework.  The doctor said I probably won’t feel better until this weekend so I’m not sure if you will see any posts from me until Monday.  Stay tuned!

Jurassic Park has always been one of my all time favorite movies.  Even to this day, I almost never miss an opportunity to watch it when I see it on tv.  Its hard to deny how awesome the movie was, especially for its time.  Well, it seems that there are others that are still obsessed with it after all of these years judging by this amazing Jurassic Park cake!  Any cake with a big T-Rex on it gets a thumbs up from me but the bottom tier is just amazing.  The people over at CMNY Cakes are the cake making geniuses behind this!

Sadly, I haven’t built anything with LEGO bricks since I was a kid but luckily there are people that still build amazing things with them.  One of those amazing things would be this awesome LEGO R2-D2.  This blocky Star Wars goodness was spotted at MEGACON this year in Orlando, Florida.  It even won Best of Show MOC (whatever MOC is)!  This was definitely the blocky droid that the judges were looking for!  Now somebody needs to create a life size LEGO C-3PO to go along with it!

I will admit that I have never got into the Transformers franchise although that is simply because I have never taken the time to check it out.  However, there are some that take Transformers to a slightly obsessive height.  Before, it was the guy who dressed up like Optimus Prime to be on his computer and now it is somebody that created a Transformers engagement ring!  DeviantART user TheBoog17 used some 3D CAD CAM software to create this amazing ring design and then cast it in 14k white gold.  Something tells me this ring is going to make somebody very happy.
