Hon Patrick Obahiagbon appointed as the Chief Of Staff to Edo State Governor.

The newly sworn in Governor of Edo state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has appointed former member of the House of representative and verbose speaker, Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon as his Chief of Staff.

The Governor also appointed his former Special Adviser on Policy Monitoring, Professor Julius Ihonvbere, as the Secretary to the State Government.
Mr. Peter Okhiria retained his position as Chief Press Secretary while Princess Theresa Erediauwa also retained her position as the focal person and Executive Director, Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
Comrade Yakubu Aliyu is the Governor’s new Principal Private Secretary while Mr. Godwin Obaseki remains the Chairman of the Economic Team, and the former Chief of Staff, Mr. Osarodion Ogie, is Vice Chairman of the Economic Team.
Mr Stephen Idehenre is the new Deputy Chief of Staff, Governor’s Office; he replaces Mr. John Odigie Ejale.
Swearing-in of the officers will hold on Thursday, November 15 at the Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City.

Dr. Olusola Saraki

The strongman of Kwara politics and Senate leader in the Second Republic, Dr. Olusola Saraki, is dead.

He died in the early hours of Wednesday morning at his Cameroon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, residence.

The immensely popular politician had been sick for a while.

His son, former Governor of Kwara State, Senator Bukola Saraki departed Abuja for Lagos Wednesday morning to convey his father’s body to Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, for burial in accordance with Islamic rites

The elder Saraki’s body will be interred at 4pm Wednesday in Ilorin

CAN SALARY BE ENOUGH?

"If only I have an option, I would stop this job immediately". This was a statement from a friend, who works with a finance house. I could feel the pain and stress in her voice when she said that, and I was moved and felt so sorry for her. But, there is absolute nothing I can do to solve her problem, because the need for her to make an ends meet is paramount.

I decide to write this article to encourage and advise in my own little understanding, those who might have got entangled in the same rat race just as my friend.

As an employee, your salary shouldn't be your primary focus. Rather, pay more attention to what you must learn on the job that would make you a better manager of your own business in the future. "Work to "LEARN” when you are still young and not to ‘’EARN".

An employee should always see their present job as a short term goal for the realization of a long term goal. Working with an organization make you more organized. It offers you the platform to be well trained, have good corporate ethics which you can apply in your own business when you eventually set up one.

For every aspiring entrepreneurs or business owners, I'd recommend you work for an organization or a firm that has been already establish in the area of business you intend to start, even if you'll have to do it for free. Call it "INTERNSHIP or APPRENTICE" whatever. Doing this will prepare your mind for what you are about to venture into.

Cynthia Osokogu was murdered by her facebook friend.

24 Year Old Cynthia Osokogu left Abuja in late July 2012 (According to reports, on the 22nd of July 2012). Like many enterprising young people, the post-graduate student of Nasarawa State University was a clothing retailer and had travelled to Lagos to purchase new stock.
Cynthia had been chatting with some new “friends” on Facebook for a few months. In the course of their conversations, they developed a friendship and a level of trust. These young men were also university students, they seemed normal and promised to host Cynthia when she came to Lagos.

There is speculation that they paid for her plane ticket and promised to pay for her hotel as well. Only Cynthia knows if this is true. Whatever the truth is, Cynthia trusted her new friends and had no idea that they had sinister plans.
What we know is that, these 2 young men picked Cynthia up from the airport in Lagos and drove her to a hotel in Festac. At the hotel, they tied her up, robbed her of all the money she brought to shop for her business and strangled her to death. They then left the hotel and quickly deleted her from their facebook friend list to remove any trace of their connection.

The hotel found her body and since her ID cards and mobile phone had been stolen, they could not identify her or call friends and family. Her body was deposited in a morgue in Lagos. All this time, her family and friends were praying for her safe return.

How the Killers Were Caught at some point, one of the culprits accidentally answered Cynthia’s phone and the call was traced to Festac. Therefore, her missing person’s police report was submitted to the Area E Command in Festac. This enabled her family to find her body in the morgue and also led them to the hotel. Using CCTV from the hotel, the killers were identified. According to reports, these two young men are university students who have now confessed that they killed Cynthia and she is their sixth victim – the gang reportedly specializes in luring unsuspecting young women, robbing them of their possessions before killing them.

Though there is speculation that their motive was ritualistic, it appears that it was greed and their main goal was to rob and kill. The pharmacist who supplied the drugs used on Cynthia and hotel staff have also been arrested. According to Police spokesperson Ngozi Braide, “Six people were arrested on Sunday over the incident and investigations are ongoing”. As you can see, Cynthia is one of Nigeria’s numerous social media generation girls (with BB and a facebook account), this unfortunately led to her demise.

The three finalists, selected from an original list of 32 players, received the most votes from a panel of 53 reporters from each of the UEFA member associations. The final vote will be held live on Aug. 30 in Monaco during the UEFA Champions League group stage draw.

Messi won the award last season. He won the Ballon d'Or in 2009 and FIFA Player of the Year awards in 2009, 2010 and 2011. He is the leading candidate this year, having scored 73 goals in 60 matches for Barcelona en route to breaking the club's all-time scoring record. Do you want to be "RICH"

The above question I was asked by a friend. This question got me silenced for minutes and I eventually answered him in affirmative.

Now I am throwing the question out to you. Do you want to be "RICH"?

I Think your answer to my question is "YES" I hope I guess right? No man on earth is be willing to be poor. We desire so much in our minds to be “RICH” But how many are ready to pay the price attached to being RICH?

“IF YOU CAN’T PAY THE PRICE, YOU CAN’T WIN THE PRICE” This is simply to tell you that, the road to the top is never rosy. Before anyone could get to the height of success, there are prices you must be willing to pay.

Many are those who desire so much to be wealthy in life, or should I say they aspire so much to also make the Forbes list. However, How many people are willing to be a servant. The truth is, No MASTER has not for once been a SERVANT? I doubt it if there is one. So you must be ready to serve, I mean rendering a service(s)

WHAT IS SERVICE: According to Oxford English Dictionary, Service is a system that provides what the public needs. When you have a platform that provide for peoples need, they will surely pay you for rendering such services and this is what we call EXCHANGE.

What service are you rendering to the public? Who are the people you serve? I have come to realise that, the richest people in the world today are not those who work so hard, but those who think and also profer solution to people’s problems. I call them the “PROBLEMS SOLVER OR SOLUTION PROVIDER” When you solve people’s problem, they will be willing to pay you some money in order for their problems to be solved.

So, if anyone wants to be rich, think of what you can do to serve people, or rather to solve peoples problem.

Let me highlight on two or three areas on you can be a service provider or a problem solver.

TRANSPORTATION: Millions of people need to go out on a daily basis to their offices, to the market et al. Don’t you think you could make so much money if you have one vehicle out their to convey people to their various destination? We live in a country where everyone cannot afford to buy a car of their own, so going into transportation business is a means of servicing people and also solving the masses problem.

CAFETERIA: “ A HUNGRY MAN IS AN ANGRY MAN” This connotes that, people cannot do without food daily. As we also know that food is life, going into cafeteria or eatery business means you are giving lives to people, and they will be glad enough to pay some money for the service you render to them.problems you solved for them.

CONSULTANT: Many coporate organizations, Multi-National Companies, Advertising Agencies, Small Business Enterprise (SME) today needs the service of a consultant.

Who is a consultant: A consultant is a person who knows a lot about a subject and it’s employed to advise about it to other people. By this definition, you will agree with me that, a Consultant is a service provider and a problem solver. Because of the problems consultant sometime solved, their clients never hesitate to pay even much money to require for the services of a consultant.

There are so many other business you can do to serve people or the public, I only gave the 3 above as an examples. Without getting you bored with my write up, you will agree with me that, for any man who desires to be rich should not only dream it, but also wake up from the dream and act on the dream to make it a reality.

Be A Service Provider or A Solution Provider and you will definitely find you way to the top. I wish you the very best of luck in your endeavors.

WHATEVER GOD CANNOT HANDLE CANNOT HAPPEN..

No matter what your challenges might be, I want you to know and believe it's temporary. What so ever challenges we face in the journey of life has its purpose. It’s not to kill us, but to teach us one or two lessons about life. If we don’t face challenges in life, physical or spiritual growth would have been deprived from us.

I have had series of challenges in life where it seems the whole world is going to fall down on me, instead of being downcasted, I’ll rather look up to GOD in heaven and pray unto HIM, and before I will know it, my problems or challenges would be no where to be found. Don’t be downcasted each time challenges of life knocks on your door.

In a recent time, we have been having so many millionaires emerged, and people also making the Forbes list as the top richest man in the world. Each of these rich men came into this world empty; their wealth is made here on earth.

So why do we have poor people? I think the difference between the “RICH” and the “POOR” is attributed to how well they have been able to maximize the time at their disposal. If being born into a wealthy family is the prerequisite for success, people like Bill Gate would be one of the most wretched people on earth.

Everybody share the same 24hrs, some are committed to the full maximization of their time, making sure they acquire all the necessary tips and information they would need to be successful in life, while others are so engrossed in what constantly distract them from taking full maximization of their supposed productive time.

An adage says, “Tell me a man who plays with his time, and I will show you a man who lives in abject poverty” Oniyide Seun. Another wise saying says, “Time is money” each time I ponder on these words, I try to figure out what they really mean, then I realized that the money everybody yearns for, has been to the time at our disposal. So TIME is not to be used, but TIME should be invested. Even wisely.

How you spend your time is what you become. Do you know when you sleep for 8 hours daily, by the time you are 60 years old you would have slept for 20 years out of your life.? Don't quote me wrong, sleep is good for the body, but what you do with the 16 hours left to cover for the time spent in sleeping is very important. Let’s do a quick mathematics calculation for a better understanding of what I am trying to say above.

24hrs makes a day, and 8 hours is one third of a day. Therefore, one third of 60 years equals 20 years. Therefore, 8/24 =1/3 then, 1/3 x 60 = 20. 60 – 20 = 40.

With the illustration above, you can as well agree with me that, time is no man’s friend and it will only favour those who understand its importance.

TIPS ON HOW TO MANAGE YOUR TIME EFFECTIVELY.

You must learn to manage your time effectively if you dare to be successful in life. Make every minutes of your time counts. In your free time, you can always look for a book on business to read on how to manage business successfully. Anytime wasted can never be regain, you must be cautious of not letting any distraction steal your time away from you. Your TV, Cable Channels and some friends can be a time killer.

NO ONE CAN MANAGE YOUR TIME.

You are responsible for how you have decided to spend your time. Do you spend your time watching and talking about people who have made use of their own time to become successful? Are you one of those people who watch things happen positively around them? Are you one of those who spend so much time arguing about A or B is the richest? Why don’t you save your energy and use your time to study what is responsible for the wealth of those you argued about and see how you can be like them or even better.

SHOW RESPECT FOR TIME

Fortunes come to those who respect their time. Time is no respecter of man and it doesn’t wait for anyone. When you invest your time wisely by using it to acquire knowledge and work hard, there is no way fortune will not find its way to your door.

PLAN YOUR DAY IN ADVANCE.

You must plan your activities for the day in advance. Prepare a "TO DO LIST" and write a plan on how you intend to implement or achieve the task you have written down in your to do list.

Try this few steps above and see how things gradually disappear from your to do list.

In conclusion, I leave you with this quote as a watch word. “Don’t look at the clock. Do what it does. Keep moving.”

POSITIVE ATTITUDE BRINGS SUCCESS.

Your business will prosper greatly if you build and consequently sustain a positive attitude. Even when things in your business are not going according to plan, you have to remember that you are not alone. All business ventures have their ups and downs.

Those impediments can be easily overcome and you can always get back on track if you keep a positive outlook to everything. You will also have increased confidence in yourself and your business capabilities.

A positive attitude will make finding prospective customers simpler. Others will react well to your optimism. They will want to hire you and suggest you to others.

This will also assist you in other departments of life. You will be in good health. Positive people have less fear of heart inflictions.

Here are some useful tips for you to expand on your positive attitude.
• Be Nice to Others: Being polite and friendly with other individuals will make you feel nice about yourself. You will have a brilliant and happy day. However, you shouldn’t be gullible and allow people to manipulate you because of your friendliness.

• Mix with Other Positive People and Avoid Those who Have Negative Attitudes: Attitudes rub on to others very quickly. If you spend more of your time with positive people you will automatically find yourself developing a more optimistic attitude.

However, negative attitudes can also be very infectious. There is a popular saying which goes, “Misery loves company”. When you are always in the company of people who perpetually complain, you will automatically find yourself beginning to do the same. Insignificant factors that would normally not bother you will suddenly seem to spoil your entire day. You will feel like you have lost all your energy.

The moment you lose enthusiasm and incentive, it can prove very difficult to get back on track. These factors can take a negative toll on your business. You will not get anything constructive done this way.

• Be Organized and Practice Time Management: When you are systematic you will work faster and be able to complete more tasks. You will know exactly what you need to do achieve your target each day. You will do constructive work if you stay within a system instead wasting time searching for phone numbers or email addresses that you have misplaced.

• Be Proactive: The moment you are aware of an oncoming obstacle in your work, solve it instead of leaving it till the last instant. Be practical and have a solution ready before the problem can get out of hand. By being ahead of possible impediments, you will permanently be able to avoid setbacks.

• Consider Hiring a Coach: Many individuals hire tutors nowadays to attain success in business. These tutors of guides will assist you in deciding exactly what you require your business to yield. They will set attainable targets and will also demand justifications for actions.

Therefore, the right and positive attitude is the most important ingredient for a successful business. Practice it as well as follow it daily. You’ll soon see you have become much more successful than you ever conceived of.

I welcome you to another new week; apparently it’s the second to the last Monday in the month of July, and in a twinkle of an eye, you will be going into the 3^rd quarter of this year. This is the time you really need to re-evaluate and cross examine if some of your resolution this year has been achieved.

The days remaining in the year is sufficient enough to actualize the goals you have set for yourself, either in your career, business, education, marriage et al.

Some of my goals set for this year have been fully achieved, and some are yet to be. However, I am not given up on them. In short, throwing in the towel is not an option for me at this stage as I can’t afford to let this year goes away without achieving some of these goals.

Therefore, I urge you to re-evaluate your goals for this year, track it and see how far you have gone. Some goals are so complex and can’t be achieved for the little time left in this year, replace them with a short term goals and plan strategically on how you can achieve those goals you altered.

As an entrepreneur, one thing I have learnt is not to view things with an ordinary eyes. I also learnt to always put my brain at work. The entrepreneur school of thought also teach me to be proactive and see things in a different dimension.

I am sure some of you must have seen the movie titled PRISON BREAK? I was privilege to also watch the movie last weekend being my first time and it was a great movie I must agree. I woke up very early today because there's a lot of task I need to do online. As I opened my laptop to begin working, I saw a notification popped up on my screen, and guess what? it's a post from one of my mentors, Mr Uju Onyechere. I got so inspired by the post and I believe it will be a best thing to share it with my loved ones.

It’s Never Over

Handel was a musical prodigy. Though his father wanted him to study law, he graduated to music at an early age. By age seventeen, he held the post of church organist in his hometown. A year later, he became a violinist and harpsichordist. By age twenty-one, he was a keyboard virtuoso. When he turned to composing, he gained immediate fame and soon was appointed conductor to the elector of Hanover (later King George 1 of England). By the time he was forty, he was world famous.

Despite Handel’s talent and fame, he faced considerable adversity. Competition with rival English composers was fierce. Audiences were fickle and sometimes didn’t turn out for his performances. And he was frequently the victim of the changing political winds of the times. Several times he found himsel...f penniless and in the verge of bankruptcy. The pain of rejection and failure was difficult to bear, especially following his previous success.

Then his problems were compounded by failing health. He suffered a stroke, which left his right arm limp and caused him to lose the use of four fingers on his right hand. Although he recovered, he remained despondent. In 1741, Handel decided that it was time to retire, even though he was only fifty-six. He was discouraged, miserable and consumed with debt. He felt certain he would land in debtor’s prison. On April 8, he gave what he considered his farewell concert. Disappointed and filled with self-pity, he gave up.

But in August, of that year, something incredible happened. A wealthy friend named Charles Jennings visited Handel and gave him a libretto based on the life of Christ. The work intrigued Handel - enough to stir him to action. He began writing. And immediately the floodgates of inspiration opened in him. His cycle of inactivity was broken.

For twenty-one days, he wrote almost nonstop. Then he spent another two days creating the orchestrations. In twenty-four days, he had completed the 260-page manuscript. He called the piece Messiah. Today, Handel’s
Messiah is considered a masterpiece and the culmination of the composer’s work.

Starting a small business can be easy, but sustaining it in order to make it a successful business is where the real job is. Many small business today had fold up because the business owner lacks the basic fundamental and technical know how of running a small business successfully .

This is blog is committed to help people with general business tips. In this article, we have gathered some information that we think we'll be useful to any one who is aspiring to start a small business, or is already in a business and want to see it grow.

HOW TO SUCCEED AS A SMALL BUSINESS

1. Be a Salesperson

Never underestimate how important it is to be able to sell. It's at the top of the list on purpose. Even if you never have to sell to clients (unlikely), you will have to sell your ideas to investors, sell your company vision to prospective employees, and sell consumers or customers on your brand. Selling is absolutely critical to your success, so if you have an aversion to it, you'd better get over that fast.

2. Delay Gratification

No business is successful on day one. Almost no businesses are successful after year one. If you think entrepreneurship is the ticket to instant riches, you need a reality check. Not only will you have to work hard for a long-term goal, you will probably have to work hard in the face of what seems like certain failure at times.

3. Discipline

Discipline isn't just about working hard, but you do have to do that. Discipline is also about managing your entrepreneurial tendencies. Many natural born entrepreneurs are blessed with a mind that is an idea-generating machine. The good news is that some of those ideas are gold mines. The bad news is that if you continually pursue new ideas, old ideas never get developed to fruition.

4. Take Risks

Just leaving the rat race is a huge risk in an of itself. No wonder so few people do it. And if you have a spouse or significant other, realize that they are risking with you whether they like it or not. Everyone has a need for some level of certainty, so if you can't find it in your business, plan on finding it elsewhere, maybe for several years at a time.

5. Build Rapport

Note that this is not called “Making Friends” important, yes, but not the same thing. Building rapport means building respect, a reputation, and hopefully key alliances along the way. Donald Trump, Bill Gate or Richard Branson doesn't seem to be the kind of guy you'd call your BFF. "Best Friend Forever" But they do have the ability to get people to listen and trust them. You will need to build relationships as an entrepreneur, no business is an island.

Be a Leader

While you may be a natural born follower, as a business owner, you will have to be able to lead. That means trusting an inner compass to guide you when there are no outside indications as to what step to take next. It means having people rely on you. And it even means forgoing the road less traveled for bushwhacking your own path.

7. Be Uncomfortable

Nobody thinks that running a business is easy. But generally people underestimate just how hard it can be. There can be times as a business owner that for months on end you will be in a state of stress, worry, anxiety, and discomfort. Being an entrepreneur means being able to live and function in this state for extended periods of time, and being able to find a way to shut it off so that it doesn't consume your personal life as well as your career.

8. Inspire

To be an entrepreneur you need to be inspired. You will likely have to inspire others such as employees and your first customers—who will have to believe in you with no track record. But most of all you will continue to have to inspire yourself, because sometimes your vision is the only thing that can lead you out of one phase of your business and into the next.

9. Focus

Related to discipline is focus—the ability to tune out “noise” that can distract you from your goal. That noise could be people who doubt you, busywork, doing too much “social” networking, or perhaps worst of all, the noise inside of your own head of self-doubt, fear, or unrealistic expectations of yourself. Personally.

10. Understand Numbers

I am extremely number-challenged. I'm the biggest of big-picture thinkers. So there are times when I am working on a project that I think is going terribly—only to finally force myself to build a spreadsheet or break out the analytics and find that I'm actually doing better than I had thought. Unfortunately, the opposite is also true, when I think that I'm kicking ass only to find that the actual return on investment of time, dollars, etc. isn't where I thought it would be. Truth be told, this is one of the number one reasons people go out of business—they don't pay enough attention to the cold, hard numbers.

11. Analysis

Related to being able to understand the numbers is the ability to look at the numbers in a variety of ways. Sometimes what looks like a dip in traffic/sales/whatever might also be a road map to a previously undiscovered opportunity. There are benefits to being a stats-a-holic, which can often times be a key source of consumer insights that larger companies pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for.

12. Ask for Help

If you have a natural knack for asking for help, good grief, I hope you aren't reading this, because you should already be working for yourself!

13. Know Thyself

Every entrepreneur has strengths and weaknesses. A good entrepreneur plays to his or her strengths. A great entrepreneur plays to their strengths and builds a business that can compensate for their weaknesses. That means knowing what you aren't good at, admitting it, and structuring your work flow so that you don't get in your own way.

14. Balance Ego with Humility

You have to have high self-confidence to make it in business. I'd go so far to say that a little bit of a big ego can actually be an asset—it helps to get people talking about you and can help to increase your visibility. But there is a very fine line between a healthy ego and being an egotistical maniac. But bring too much humility to the game, and it comes off as self-doubt. Walking the line between the two will never please everyone, either – sorry, it just comes with the territory.

15. Persistence

Most of all, to get out of the rat race, you need persistence. You need to fall on your face and get back up. You need to make big mistakes and learn from them. Sometimes you even need to fail, it may be the only way to succeed. To quote “Your recovery strategy is what's important; avoiding mistakes is not.”

As I get down to the real business of the day, I want to assume that you have no money to start a business of your own. So I will practically be showing you how to start a business without your own money. How to Start a Business with No Money
1. Develop a good business idea

The first step to starting a business without money is to develop a good business idea. Your proposed business idea must satisfy a need or solve a problem. Your idea must be good enough to arouse the interest of anyone who hears a pitch of it.

2. Have a good business plan
Even though you have no money to start a business, write a business plan. It might sound crazy but you are only preparing yourself to take advantage of any opportunity that comes your way. Also, writing a business plan will prove to investors that you are a serious entrepreneur that knows his/her onions.
3. What do you bring to the table?

Okay, I know you are reading this now because you lack the capital to finance your business idea but I will bet that you have something of value inside of you. What business skills do you bring to the table since you don’t have money? This will be a question most investors will want an answer to.

Take for instance you developed a good business idea with respect to the tech industry but you don’t have the money to pursue the opportunity, you can come to the table with your technical skills. Mark Zuckerberg did the same thing. Aside technical skills, you can also come to the table with your experience from a respected field. Skills such as sales skill, accounting skill, business management skill can also be brought to the table.

4. Find a business partner with cash

This is self explanatory. If you don’t have the cash to start a business, then find a partner who does.

5. Start a service based business

You can also start a service based business since it requires little or no startup capital. But you will definitely have to invest time equity to get things going. A little bit of creativity, marketing and sales skills will also be needed to give your business a head start.

6. Start a home based business

When I hear people giving lame excuses about their inability to start a business due to lack of capital, I boil inside of me. I have seen people start businesses right from their home and grow from there. Julie Aigner Clark is a good example of this.

I have seen people borrow $50 or less from family or friends and launch themselves into tremendous wealth through network marketing. I have seen young internet enthusiasts start a business from a friend’s computer or a public connection (cyber cafe). So I don’t think you have any excuse for not starting a business; even if you have no money.

7. Bootstrap your way to success

Lastly, you can bootstrap your startup by operating on a lean budget. Bootstrap financing is an alternative for those who are finding it difficult to raise funds for their business. Bootstrapping financing is simply the art of running a business on internally generated funds which are often limited. It involves the tactical deployment of resources while giving little room for waste. Effectiveness and efficiency are two watchwords in the game of bootstrapping.

As a final note, I want you to know that there will never be a situation where you will be provided with excessive capital to start a business. You just have to learn to run with what you’ve got. Don’t sit on your ideas simply because you have no money; start with what you have. Even if all you’ve got is an idea and your enthusiasm; start with it. It's a brand new day and I am sure you are about to hit the street and go about your daily obligations. However, there are so many people out there, who are not happy doing what they do presently.

Many are those who have been battling with life challenges, many are those who their minds are filled with negative thoughts due to the fear of unknown. They says, can I really make good things out of life?. If you are reading this post, it's a sign that all hope have not been lost yet. Yes, you are still alive.

The man who has no hope or can never be great in life, is the man in the grave. In as much as I believe life is not a bed of roses, but I am very sure life has got a lot of good things to offer to man kind.

Yes, I understand it's impossible at times. You don't feel like dong anything. I have been a victim of such circumstance and I still feel that way from time to time. You are

Yes, I know, it seems impossible at times. You don’t feel like doing anything. I’ve been there, and in fact I still feel that way from time to time. You’re not alone. But I’ve learned a few ways to break out of a slump, and we’ll take a look at those today.

How you can be motivated.

1) Find the Good Reasons
Anything you do, no matter how simple, has a number of good reasons behind it. Not all the tasks have the good reasons to do them seen at first sight, but if you take just a few moments to analyze them, you will easily spot something good. We also have many tasks which don’t need any reasoning at all – we’ve been doing them for so long that they feel natural.
But if you’re ever stuck with some task you hate and there seems to be no motivation to complete it whatsoever, here’s what you need to do: find your good reasons. They may not be obvious, but stay at it until you see some, as this will bring your motivation back and will help you finish the task.

2) Make it fun
When it comes to motivation, attitude is everything. Different people may have completely opposite feelings towards the same task: some will hate it, others will love it. Why do you think this happens? It’s simple: some of us find ways to make any task interesting and fun to do!
Take sports for example. Visiting your local gym daily for a half-an-hour workout sounds rather boring to many of us. Yet many others love the idea! They like exercising not only because they recognize the good reasons behind it, but simply because it’s fun! At certain time of their daily schedule, they find going to gym to be.

3) Build anticipation. This will sound hard, and many people will skip this tip. But it really works. It helped me quit smoking after many failed attempts. If you find inspiration and want to do a goal, don’t start right away. Many of us will get excited and want to start today. That’s a mistake. Set a date in the future — a week or two, or even a month — and make that your Start Date. Mark it on the calendar. Get excited about that date. Make it the most important date in your life. In the meantime, start writing out a plan. And do some of the steps below. Because by delaying your start, you are building anticipation, and increasing your focus and energy for your goal.

4) Post your goal. Print out your goal in big words. Make your goal just a few words long, like a mantra (“Exercise 15 mins. Daily”), and post it up on your wall or refrigerator. Post it at home and work. Put it on your computer desktop. You want to have big reminders about your goal, to keep your focus and keep your excitement going. A picture of your goal (like a model with sexy abs, for example) also helps.
