1. If I will submit the same article to many article directories, won’t it violate a search engine’s policy against duplicate content?

No, it won’t.  Since we’re dealing with high ranking websites, the search engines would assume that the submitted content is their original work.  This is the reason why a lot of article directories are pretty confident about the articles they display.  The problem that they encounter, really, is with regards to the credibility of their services.  They don’t want to be known as a repository of junk content, that’s why they have outlawed the posting of PLR articles as well as articles imbued with affiliate links.

2.  Does this mean that I could submit articles which I have already posted in my own web pages?

No!  Since the search engines would assume that the higher ranking websites are the originators of the content, your web pages would be distinguished as duplicates, and this could possibly lead to the de-indexing of your website.  You wouldn’t want this to happen.

3.  Could I submit as many articles as I could to as many article directories as possible?

Yes, you could!  In fact, this is very much advised, to build up your link popularity and secure for your website a great page rank.

However, please bear in mind that search engines, and Google in particular, become quite wary about a website that suddenly experiences a great increase in the number of its back links.  It is advised that before you submit another article to the article directories, you have to wait for at least 3 weeks after your last submission.

4.  My page views are quite low.  Does article marketing really work?

Yes, article marketing does work!  If your article’s page views remain in low levels, ask yourself the following:

• Is the subject of your article interesting enough?  Does it cater to a wide audience?
• Is your title enticing enough to merit a reading of your entire work?
• Is your article informative enough to merit recommendation?
• Is your article readable enough to give your audience an easy time in digesting the information you want to share?

These are the factors that contribute to low page views. Doing some necessary editing to correct these problems can dramatically increase the number of times your article would be viewed.  Additionally, some article directories really attract a few visitors.  But the popular ones like ezinearticles.com , goarticles.com and isnare.com should give you hundreds of readers in a month’s time.

5.  How sure am I that my article would be kept intact by people who would use it in their own websites or eZines?

You can never be sure.  This is why you have to run your own check from time to time.  Search for unique phrases in your article, and click on the results.  Determine if the webmaster honored your resource box.  If he did not, you could ask him to include the same, or you could file a complaint with the article directory so that they themselves could act on the matter.  Vigilance is the key.

Accomplishing this seemingly mountainous feat does not have to be as complicated as it sounds. Here are some tips to follow that are applicable whether you are just getting started with your company or conversely have already been in business for many years:

• The fish rots from the head. This adage not only is a well known fact to hobby fishermen but also to business executives who understand that a company will only be as ethical or corrupt as the owner, leader, or operator will allow it to be. If you know of shady goings on but for the sake of a quick buck turn a blind eye, then your sales force will count on your indulgence of unethical behavior and it will not only continue but most likely expand in scope. Similarly, if your sales force is well aware of the fact that you do not tolerate lying, cheating, and skimming, then the temptation to engage in these practices is greatly removed.

• Training is everything. If your sales force does not know what your expectations are, they will not have the ability to perform in accordance. Thus, your training materials need to be meticulous in scope and detail. Even as you do not want to overwhelm new recruits, you also do not want to leave them at the mercy of Internet generated wisdom, especially when it goes against your beliefs! Take the time to train, retrain, and occasionaly refresh your sales force as needed. You will be rewarded with a homogenous way of doing business.

• Multi level marketers sometimes forgets to focus on the customer. Being so down line oriented, sales professionals will frequently alienate a consumer by attempting to hard-sell them into becoming a distributor. When I joined my first MLM I had to sit through a comp plan presentation more than a few times and even brought in a few prospective reps to do the same. When we join a business opportunity we want to earn some extra money and possibly, god willing, escape the cubicle jungle altogether. The furthest thing from our mind was that we would need some sort of accounting degree, although that probably would still not be enough, to understand how I was supposed to get paid.

That’s the million dollar question then, isn’t it? Why are the comp plans of the countless MLMs so hard to understand? Unfortunately, they are trying to keep something hidden from you. Most of the time it is the fact the actual compensation is a pittance. The chances are, if you had a full understanding of the comp plan from the beginning you probably never would have joined the MLM.

Think back to those days of volume requirements, auto ships, rank qualifications, the different legs of your organization, director levels, and “insert term here” and you have a real recipe for failure. Why would someone put up with this kind of confusion? The bottom line is hope and the fact that in many cases you are being prayed on by the person pushing the MLM. Not to say that it is something vicious or conscious on their part. Typically, they are just one step above you, may have had a little success and are doing what their sponsor told them they needed to do. They are desperate to build their organization so they can get a better paycheck at the end of the month.

Back to the hope issue…Unfortunately, many of us are at our wits end and are looking for something else. We hope that this “next thing”, whatever it may be, will get us out of the rat race. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with hope. It can be one of the greatest motivators, but there also needs to be purpose and a plan behind that hope. Many of us are lured by the pitch and given false hope which can be a very dangerous thing. We make rash decisions that we end up regretting when we really find out what we have done.

Back to my point…The unfortunate truth is that for the average person there are not many opportunities to get out of the rat race. To become a franchisee or start a traditional business takes more money that most will ever have and therefore are too expensive to get off the ground. Going back to school is an option for some, but can still be very expensive and time consuming. We have families, mortgages, and bills to pay.

What are we left with? The dream of the MLM. It is a chance for the average person to make it. Finding the one good company with a good structure and a simple pay plan can be challenging, but it is out there. If you think you have found it and the comp plan takes more than about five minutes to go over, RUN!

One major problem with small ticket network marketing businesses is just that, small ticket. While there are a huge variety of products to market most are $50 to $100 items that you don’t really make much on. You have to move a lot of product to see any real profits after expenses.

The simple answer to that question is: Selling is hard for most people and with the right marketing, as with any good product, is that it is as easy to sell a high ticket opportunity as it is a small ticket opportunity.

The main focus has to be on establishing enough value in the opportunity. A person will buy many high ticket things in their life. Homes, boats, kitchen remodels, cars, big screen TV. Most people will have no issue paying the price for something if they can see the value it offers.

You will probably have to talk to far fewer people, spend less on advertising, and make far less phone calls to make $1000 with a high ticket opportunity like GRN than you would with a small ticket opportunity that only make you $20.
