I began accumulating these various evidences as I came across them into a Global Warming index page at FreeEnergyNews.com.  For me, the case became as obvious as the sun rising in the morning. I was enormously satisfied when Al Gore's film, An Inconvenient Truth came out and was watched by so many people. Global Warming seems to have arrived in the psyche of the inhabitants of the planet as one of the primary issues facing humanity.

Then I watched a new 75-minute documentary film called The Global Warming Swindle (76 mins):

The scientific arguments presented in, "The Great GlobalWarming Swindle," can be stated quite briefly:

• Observations in ice cores show that temperature increases have preceded -- not resulted from -- increases in CO2, by hundreds of years, suggesting that the warming of the oceans is an important source of the rise in atmospheric CO2.
• As the dominant greenhouse gas, water vapor is far, far more important than CO2, yet not well handled by climate models -- and, in any case, not within our control.
• Greenhouse models also cannot account for the observed cooling of much of the past century (1940-75), nor for the observed patterns of warming -- what we call the "fingerprints."

Polar bears are become an hot topic of the GlobalWarming Awareness2007 discussions. But not for more... George W. Bush Administration has Restrict Scientific Discussion on Polar Bears and Global Warming.

In a memo obtained by groups working on the listing of the polar bear under the Endangered Species Act, the Bush administration is requiring that all government travel requests "potentially involving climate change, sea ice, and/or polar bears" be accompanied by a memorandum "including a statement of assurance that these individuals understand the Administration's position on these issues." The two examples of such memos provided with the order both include assurances that the employees would "not be speaking or responding to these issues."

We have an other evidence about the Bush's problem solving qualities: if we don't talk about a problem, the problem do not exists.

This interesting theory seems a cocktail of oriental philosophy and fascism. In fact some gurus say something like "You always empower the demons you fight" and many (all?) dictators say "don't talk about our problems. We don't have problems". But probably the question is that Bush administration love seals :-D

Anyways, how the future will be? Think I know. Everything will be alright! Here we have George - Walker (B.), Texas Ranger... and he's not alone: with him there's him staff!

Alright, now we can add in our <item> tags one or more <dc:subject> child element with our preferred keywords :-)

Every SEO knows that when a page's URL is changed we have to say to the client (also a spider is a client) what is the new URL.

The HTTP/1.1 protocol provides those headers to do this:

HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
Location: http://globalwarming-awareness2007.bloster.altervista.org/new-location.html

The 301 status code means that the page requested is Moved Permanently.

Location indicate the new page location.

Using PHP we can send an HTTP header using the header function.

Well, when I change an URL I update my option redirect in my MySQL table in this way:

I have made this site just to partecipate to the SEO World Championship and I've written just few lines of code to menage it.

A thing that I consider very useful is to save and to get options easily in the several parts of my PHP scripts.

To do this I've created an options table and two functions, one to insert/update options and one to get them.

This is the MySQL table:

  PRIMARY KEY (`name`)
) DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8;

To insert or to update options I use this function:

function save_option($name, $value){
	$value = serialize($value);
	$sql = mysql_query("INSERT INTO options VALUES('$name', '$value') ON duplicate KEY UPDATE value = '$value'");
}

The PHP function serialize() generates a storable representation of a value.

The MySQL query I have used is explained in the article INSERT ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE on the MySQL Performance Blog.

The string generated using serialize() is inserted or updated in the database, and we can take it and reobtain a PHP value using unserialize():
