Once again, I must pause to comment on the vanishing art of creating sensual, emotional tableaux with photography. Meanwhile, if you haven't learned about it yet, check out the wording of England's new Extreme Pornography act. I highlighted this appalling bit

Sections 63 to 67 of the Act make it an offence to possess pornographic images that depict acts which threaten a person's life, acts which result in or are likely to result in serious injury to a person's anus, breasts or genitals, bestiality or necrophilia.

IOW: English law now treats depictions of consensual erotic spanking and corpse rape as equally morally repugnant acts, subject to identical legal punishments.

The depressing ignorance behind so outlandish an equation, the arrogance of their bigotry, the prudishness and hatefulness contained in this wording, those are the real crimes here, and sadly it's UK BDSMers who will pay the price for it.

Join CAAN, follow them on FaceBook, tell your kinky friends about this scary new law, and do what you can to lend support to people like us in the UK. I hope we're never in their shoes, but if we ever are, I know we'd appreciate support wherever we could find it too.
