On a gluten free diet one is only "allergic" to wheat, oats, barley, rye, triticale, kamut and spelt. You find gluten free cereals in Health food stores and grocery stores. They are marked "gluten free". They are made with rice, potato flour or starch, cornstarch, corn or cornflour, amaranth seeds or flour and quinoa. Some are even available in form of flakes or grites. You can find cream of rice, quinoa flakes, cornflakes and corn pops all gluten free. A great number of breads are available such as gluten free raisin breads or plain breads that make delicious french toasts. So much for the products with grains.

Eggs and fruit, jam, butter or margarine are also choices as well as yoghurts (check labels - for starches !)

Moving to Germany

Bonjour,
Our daughter has severe food allergies and one of them is wheat.
