Black Label Bankware from Fox

Black Label took 18 months of development and is a range of bankware that is constructed from chunky aluminium that has an anodised black coating. Not only does it look stunning but it has also been designed to be incredibly practical as well, with every single item designed to work together as a complete system.

The chunky black-look, combined with no thumb screws and subtle logos that are stamped into the aluminium itself make this range a thing of beauty. However, as we said previously the range is about far more than just looking good, so please read on...

Rapide Load PVA Bag System From Fox

The incredible new Rapide Load PVA Bag System range is set to change the way anglers fish with solid PVA bags forever! Having looked at what loading tools were currently on the market our product design guru Scott Day felt that there was still vast room for improvement in this area and he knew just how to take these tools to a whole new level! As a result of many months of development and testing the Rapide Load System was born!.

The beauty of the Rapide tool is that not only is it used to fill your solid PVA bag but it is then also used to tie it meaning that you no longer need to fiddle about with PVA tape and gripping the bag between your knees all very tricky and all very time consuming! With the aid of the Rapide tool all you need to do now is load the bag, twist the tool, lick the top of the PVA and stick the bag shut by bringing the moistened section back onto the bag. The system makes things so fast and simple and in fact Scott best time to date to load and tie a bag is just 18.9 seconds and that includes folding the corners over too!

Fishing Photography - The Trophy shot - 5 things to avoid

We look at 5 key things to avoid or remember when taking photos of carp, whether snapping your mates first 40 or your kids first double the following will help to ensure the perfect Trophy Shot.

Bad Composition.

There is a number of sides to this. To state the obvious trophy shots are about the angler and the fish so as a general rule these should dominate the composition, i.e. be in the center and fill the frame. Now although it is always worth snapping a few different shots, the other people present, the fish being returned etc. but the shot the guy usually wants on his wall is the standard one seen in all the mags and consequently is the most important to get right.

When taking the picture for a trophy shot it is very important that the frame is filled as much as possible. For instance, I always aim to have the fish lips and tail just millimetres from the left and right hand edge of the frame as you look through the view finder. I insist that the fish is slightly pushed out by the captor, this gives a better aspect to the trophy.

Fake Weed Carp Rigs Hide End Tackle

This weed rig helps to catch more carp by disguising the end tackle. The fake weed rigs require pop up baits and can be used in margins next to small weed beds. This rig is one way to disguise your rig end tackle, giving you more change to catch the bigger carp.

The plastic weed actually floats which is why it's best to use with pop up presentations. The weight from the lead causes the weed to stand straight so it blends in well with other weeds or amongst other debris

Like most Angler When I started fishing I utilized nail clippers for cutting lines or trimming leaders, and while this basic tool got the job done for slicing through monofilament It was hard to get a clean cut through braided lines and I often ended up pinching down so hard just trying to saw through these lines, resulting in frayed hard to tie line-ends.

A few tips for getting the best results from your PVA

If you look in the tackle box of any angler in any country where carp fishing is popular, one item you will always find in one form or another will be P.V.A., or Poly Vinyl Alcohol, to give it its full name..

This remarkable product was first used in fishing by sea anglers who used PVA Tape to help tie up their rigs to prevent tangles on casting. Until then PVA had been widely used for medicinal purposes before its fishing applications opened up a whole new market for the manufacturers.
