I have a love/hate relationship with reviews. It's frightening to put your best efforts out there and allow them to be critiqued in a public forum.
However, when a good review comes through it is really encouraging! So today I'm excited to announce that the children's ministry blog About The Children's Ministry Department has awarded our new Praise curriculum with the title of "Best VBS Music for 2012"! We are honored.
This is also a tremendous opportunity to emphasize what this curriculum is all about by reflecting all the praise to God. Our goal was to create a VBS experience that was as God-centered as possible. So as we respond to this review, we simply say to God be the glory. This curriculum is His and we believe He is going to use it in mighty ways to accomplish His purposes.
The more you learn about God the harder it gets to write songs about Him.

I'd like to introduce you to our newest animated character who will be helping us out with our VBS "Praise" next summer!
Our next VBS curriculum is called "Praise" and our goal has been to create a curriculum that is God-centered in every area. You would be amazed how difficult that is to do. The tendency is always to cater to kids instead of us keeping the focus on God! Can you be God-centered and have fun at the same time? You better believe it! Here's a little audio sample of some of the fun kids will have...
Movin' To The Beat (DMHO & DJ Pray-Z)
Yes this new program is kid-friendly, but it is God-focused. Ultimately it is all about giving praise to the only One who deserves it - God! Instead of telling kids what God can do for them, we want the emphasis to be on what kids can do for Him. We are created to praise God for many things including His greatness, His providence, His love and His authority. What an awesome God we serve!
Please pray for us as we continue in the final stages of creating next year's VBS curriculum. We are more convinced than ever that a high view of Scripture reflects a high view of God. The thought of kids across the world learning about God's attributes and praising Him as a result keeps us motivated beyond belief. May His name be lifted high by a whole new generation!
