Natural Toilet Cleaner: Lets face it, toilets need to be cleaned…..often. Most of the toilet cleaning products available consist of some pretty harsh, and very environmentally damaging chemicals.

UK households spend hundreds of pounds every year on cleaning products. Many are bad for the environment as well as being expensive to buy.

Arm yourself with these three essentials of green cleaning:

Lemon Juice – the natural qualities of lemon juice make it an ideal substitute for bleach. Use on clothing stains, as a kitchen / bathroom cleaner or as a natural disinfectant on surfaces, chopping boards etc.

White vinegar – its acidic levels are mild enough to be a safe cleaning agent but powerful enough to cut through many types of dirt and grime. A drop of white vinegar on a soft cloth is perfect for cleaning and shining stainless-steel sinks while a water / vinegar mixture is all you need to get a perfect clean on windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces. Mix with olive oil for a natural wood polish.

Baking Soda / Bicarbonate of Soda – acts as a mild abrasive and, when mixed with water, is great for scrubbing sinks, toilets and baths without damaging the surface. A thicker solution can be used on cookers, ovens and other areas where there is tougher grime. A water / white vinegar / baking soda solution is great for cleaning drains and a similar solution in different measures can be poured into a spray bottle and makes a natural air deodoriser.

We advise reading more about green cleaning in detail before using any of the above items.

Leaf Logs are approximately 1kg – 1.3kgs in weight, consisting of approximately 65%-75% leaves and burns for over 2 hours.

Consumers simply place each log on the grate and light the bag and then enjoy the warmth and aesthetics of a real fire. Providing immediate ignition from an open flame,

Leaf Logs require no kindling or firelighters and produce a clean smoke-free flame. The fine dust which is left (less than 1%) can then be used to fertilize gardens.

Mr Morrison is now waiting with his business partner Sharon Warmington to get exclusive trademark rights for the Leaf Log before it hits the shelves.
