Excerpt from The Home by E. David Stegmeier:

Many years ago I heard a story about the ministry of Gypsy Smith. He was preaching on the need of missionaries going to foreign fields. A young mother went forth and met him at the altar and said, "I really have a burden to go to India."

He said: "That is wonderful! What are you doing now?"

She said, "I'm a housewife."

"Do you have any children?"

She said, "Yes, I have five."

Brother Smith said, "Sister, you have a mission field right in your home."

We have to follow the principles of God's eternal Word. A Christian man once told me, "If I can live to see my five children saved and living for God, I will feel that my life was well spent."

Life in homes has been changing for some time, but the changes have been in the wrong direction. One reason for the morality problems in our country is due to decay in the homes. Most homes are not really Christian homes.

Just as the old house has broken windows, siding flapping, and doors hanging open, that is the same way many people appeared before they were saved. Excerpt from "The Christian Protocol" by Calvin Foster:

The word protocol is defined as "a code prescribing strict adherence to correct etiquette and precedence, as used in diplomatic exchange." If you were to meet with the President of the United States at the White House, a protocol officer would meet with you to outline the proper procedure for the meeting. It would be unacceptable to burst out with an undignified or informal greeting. It would not be appreciated if you were to give negative criticism to the President as you shook his hand, such as, "I did not vote for you." Our Scripture text lets us know that there is a protocol for coming into the presence of God. Verse 16 says, "Let us therefore come boldly. . . ."
