During the last couple of years, the iPad from Apple has taken over the tablet computer market. In this article I will explain how they managed to pull it off.

The Apple iPad 2, is a wonderful small gadget, with fascinating design, phenomenal OS, and unbelievable battery life that allows you to use the device without recharging up to 10 hours. It's definitely a one-of-a-kind packet with over 10000 applications and amazing hardware.

There are several reasons why the iPad from Apple became so popular.

Let's go into the details:

1. You will get smarter

Scientific research shows that hands-on interaction, with items like Apple iPad, is a lot better for our brains than interaction through keyboard and mouse. The other positive thing is that the iPad interface is easier for us to look at, and that helps to avoid cognitive overload of brains. In result, using the Apple iPad will lead to focused thinking!

2. You will get rich

With an iPad, its easier to stay connected to business, clients and your investments, and you don't have to worry about having laptop with internet connection all the time. All kind of professional documents can be created with the iPad: Documents, presentations and so on. Some journalists even use iPads to write articles on-spot instead of traditional pen and paper!

3. Help you travel

This is one of the greatest reasons (and probably the best) to own an iPad. You can browse through maps or use the build in GPS to navigate. It's easy to get rid of fear of flying: the iPad brings some great distractions to the table during your flight: Movies, games, books and music are just some examples to get you started. There's even a specialized app for people who are afraid of flying that's been developed in cooperation with Virgin Atlantic.

4. Save money

You can download loads of money management apps from the Apple store, so your budgeting will get easier. Now the good news: It is possible to obtain one of these engineering wonders for absolutely free! So you will actually be saving before you get one! This tablet computer can be a good alternative for laptops and smart phones. All you've to is click the link below and fill in your information and soon you will be rocking with your very own iPad!

After all, it's no surprise that the iPad rose to immense popularity so quickly. It certainly is very unique device, and there was a empty spot in the market for device like this.

However, a big part of the success of this device, were the tremendous marketing efforts by Apple. Somehow, Apple managed to turn iPad into status symbol. When you spot someone with one, people immediately think that the one carrying the device is following his time and doing financially well as the iPads are a bit pricey.

How to Record Quality Audio on Your Computer

How to Record Quality Audio on Your Computer

These days, written text doesn't quite cut it. You'd better have a stable of multimedia tools on hand to engage your prospects on all levels. That means having videos and audio podcasts on your sites as much as you have articles and images.

The best part is that, in today's tech-friendly world, you don't need to have an advanced degree in AV technology to put together quality audio on your computer. In fact, you can get it all done for less than $250 and no one would know the difference between your audio and pro recordings.

Recording Your Audio

Here is a list of what you'll need to buy and do to get your audio recorded properly.

* Microphone - A microphone is step one for audio recording. Most computers come with something these days, but try and record a podcast on your laptop's in-dash mic and you'll quickly find it doesn't get the job done.

I'm partial to headset microphones because they're more comfortable and make it easy to do other things while recording. Good brands include Plantronics and Blue Snowball. The former costs less than $50 and the later less than$100 and you'll get the option between desk and headset mics.

* Regarding Ambient Noise - When getting started, one of the mics above might be okay for a while, but eventually you need to address the issue of ambient noise. Even the best microphones on the planet, when you plug them into a PC will have unwanted ambient noise.

The solution to this problem is to purchase a DigiDesign MBox or a Technical Pro Podcast System. The former is a bit pricey, but you can find the latter for $100 (or less, when on sale). These standalone systems reduce feedback and ambient noise almost entirely.

* Quieten Down the Room - Next, you need to remove any unwanted elements from the room. If you don't want your dog or roommate showing up on your podcast, or for your listeners to hear the latest episode of "How I Met Your Mother", you'll need quiet and controlled space.

Turn off any fans, unplug any machines, mute your phone, and pull the microphone away from the computer to remove ambient noise that can disrupt your message. Another good thing to do is dampen the sound going into your computer.

* Software - There are a lot of software options out there for recording sound and cutting it into your podcasts. Unfortunately, some of them can get a little pricey. Adobe Audition is the top option for many creative pros, but it costs more than $300.

The same is true for super high quality Pro Tools software. So, instead of spending a huge pile of money, I stick with simple, relatively basic software tools like Audacity. Audacity is about as simple as you get, but it's also free and works on all three major Operating Systems.

There are other paid options like Sound Forge and Cake Walk that are relatively affordable, but they're only necessary if you want the extra tools that come with a premium piece of software.

For the most part, when recording your audio, the most important thing is to have clear, crisp sound that isn't interrupted by ambient noise or your family in the background. You also need a solid computer that can render that sound and output high quality streaming audio files.

If you don't have the necessary disc drive space for storing recorded audio, you may also need to buy an expanded external hard drive. You can get up to a Terrabyte of space for less than $150.

When it comes time to record your audio, remember to be yourself and let the content of your message do most of the work. Fancy effects are nice, but people are really interested in hearing what you've to say.

How to Protect Your computing device From Spyware

How to Protect Your computing device From Spyware

Spyware is a specific type of virus that usually tracks your personal information when browsing the web including your browsing habits, your username and passwords without your approval. Websites, emails, instant messages or file sharing networks are the different ways through which the spywares are usually being downloaded. They're also installed with some legitimate programs when you accept the End User License Agreement. If your computer is running slower or showing some unusual behavior, it's the sign of spyware attacks.

Therefore, these spywares are very harmful for your online identity and privacy and to overcome this, you should have a good spyware protection for your computer. You can follow some of the useful tips that can help you to get computer virus protection.

1. Report phishing scams: Phishing is an attempt to collect useful data/information like username, password or secured financial information by appearing as a legitimate entity. Phishing scams can easily get into your inbox in the form of emails or instant messages via social networking sites.

2. You should never use the links in your inbox to get to a particular website.

3. One had better never provide financial information through emails.

4. Avoid downloading email attachments from unknown sources. You should always verify the sender of the emails and shouldn't open the attachments through your mails carelessly. E-mail attachments are one of the easiest ways to get infected with harmful viruses and malwares. Therefore, it is better to know about your contacts, recognize the dubious contents and remember the sites and businesses that have asked for the mailing list to save your computer from any suspicious agents.

5. You should always delete your browsing history. Your browsing history saves your variety of information like the history of visited websites, cookies, pictures of formerly visited websites and various data. By deleting cookies or browsing history, you can save your browsing habits and protect from spyware attacks.

6. Keep your virus protection software up to date.

By taking care of these precautions, you can try to keep spywares away from your computer. Along with it, you can get antivirus download that can save your computer from malicious software. If you don't want to spend extra penny on your computer and want to get free spyware protection, search for the best antivirus software for free.

Ubuntu is the most popular distribution of Linux with more than 12 million desktop users around the world. It's also the most popular free OS for personal computers and is based on the Debian Linux distribution. The first release of the Ubuntu OS was on 20 October 2004 and since then new versions of Ubuntu have been released almost every six months. Ubuntu is sponsored by the UK based company Canonical Ltd. owned by South African billionaire Mark Shuttleworth.
Ubuntu is distributed as a free and open source operating system and the latest Ubuntu release was Natty Narwhal which was released on 28th of April, 2010. The latest released focused on making the interface quite easy for users of the Windows Operating System too and it has gained mixed yet overwhelming reactions throughout the globe. One of the problems with Ubuntu Linux is that the backgrounds inbuilt into the OS are not that great and there are not many great backgrounds available either. So, in this tutorial we'll provide details on how to install great background themes on your Ubuntu Linux OS where the wallpapers change at regular intervals.

You can at first download the backgrounds from any Gnome Art background site. Ubuntu Themes are also regularly released at UbuntuTheme.net with high quality backgrounds and you can also download it from there. The themes work without any major modification to the Ubuntu Linux system and are safe to be installed. The themes would work on any Linux distribution which supports Gnome Art backgrounds in addition to Ubuntu OS.

At first download the Ubuntu Theme to your computer and decompress it in your Ubuntu OS. You would then need to move the theme to folder to the /usr/share/backgrounds in your Ubuntu/Linux system. But for that you also require root privileges and so open the terminal and type:

sudo cp -R /home/YOURUSERNAME/PathToYourThemeFolder /usr/share/backgrounds

Replace YOURUSERNAME and PathToYourThemeFolder with the ones that are relevant to Ubuntu installation on your system. If case you're not sure about the location of the folder then you can also right-click and check properties to get an idea about the same. When you transfer the theme you would be prompted for the administrative password and you can type it and press enter. Thereafter, you need to browse to the /usr/share/backgrounds folder where you should see the new theme folder present if you have transferred it correctly. If you see cross mark on the images or the folder and permission is denied then please type the following command on your terminal:

Replace ThemeFolder with the name of the extracted theme folder name as you did previously.

Now go to System > Preferences > Appearance and click on Appearance to open the Appearance dialog box. You can also open Appearance Preference by right-clicking on the desktop screen of Ubuntu and selecting "Change Desktop Background" from the right-click menu. You'd then require to select the Background tab in that box if it is not selected already. Now click on "Add" near the bottom right side of that tab to add the new theme. A new window named "Add Wallpaper" would pop up where you need to browse to the "/usr/share/backgrounds/ThemeFolder/" and select the themefile.xml inside the ThemeFolder. You might need to change the file type at the bottom right of the "Add Wallpaper" window from "images" to "all files" in order to view the xml file.Replace ThemeFolder and themefile.xml name with the actual theme folder name and theme file name. You should now see the new background and then on your computer and it will change every 15 minutes. The installation is complete and once you get the hang of it, you should be able to install new Ubuntu themes in less than a minute.

Risks of Not Protecting Personal Data on USB Storage Devices

Risks of Not Protecting Personal Data on USB Storage Devices

In nowadays prolific information and technology era, your personal or private computerized data is the fodder which feeds an absolutely vast global interconnected information system as more and more companies and organizations are going paperless. Unfortunately few have actually thought about potential consequences of no longer having data physically accessible, but in the form of bits and bytes. A paperless society is convenient, but at what cost?

A very popular device for carrying around all those computer bits and bytes (1's and 0's) of data is called a USB Thumbnail Drive or Memory Stick.

What is an USB Thumbnail Drive?

• Sometimes referred to as a USB Stick or Flash Drive
• Used to carry, store or transfer data like, documents, photos, etc.
• Data stored on USB devices are stored in memory on a computer chip
• USB storage devices can hold from 8 Gigabytes of data to 50 Gigabytes - up

USB storage devices can hold a tremendous amount of data on a device you can fit in your palm and they're relatively in expensive. Think about this. If you own a USB thumbnail drive of only 32 Gigabytes this is equivalent to carrying around 32,000 novels in your pocket.

Thumbnail drives were once the sole domain of use for special operatives, spies, government agencies and large multi-billion dollar conglomerates - no more. Now anyone with about USD $30 can purchase the same type of device which will also hence be referred to in this article as a "USB spying gear drive".

Ironically USB spying gear drives greatest strength, i.e., small size is also its greatest weakness. Yes, USB thumbnail drives are small and convenient for carrying large amounts of data; however by sheer nature of their size they can also be easily misplace, or stolen without notice - until you need your data.

How frustrating is it to lose your important or private information not knowing if it's floating around town, in a coffee café or between the seats of your vehicle? Perhaps if you are lucky a "Good Samaritan" will find your "USB spying gear device" and take the time and effort to return it. Or perhaps you get lucky and find your device in an office desk drawer. Unfortunately, the laws of probabilities are not in favour of these scenarios.

The question now becomes what should you do to protect your data on your USB thumbnail drive in case the unexpected happens?

1. Choose to never place any data on your USB thumbnail drive which you cannot afford to lose or that you would not want in the hands of others.
2. Always make regular backups of your data onto either an external hard or a CD/DVD medium
3. Investigate software available on the market which will allow you to encrypt (encode) your data making it unreadable without having a password or key which hopefully is only known to you.
4. There are other methods incorporating both encryption and other technical methods to protect data

Always keep in mind your USB thumbnail drive is essence spying gear as mentioned. Think about how many hospitals, insurances companies and other corporate entities using thumbnails drives regularly to holding information you entrusted to them to keep safe. What do you think would happen if one of those USB thumbnail drives was lost or worst stolen to secure vital information contained on the drive.

Yes, unfortunate events do and can happen. However, most cases never hit the front page news unless the organization or company involved get called out by either a Whistle blower or someone leaks to information to the press. Think about the case of a trusted military officer who leaked extremely sensitive and semi classified data to a company called Wiki Leaks. He used a simple USB spying gear drive, again easy to conceal. He easily copied data from the main computer system - supposedly protected - to his USB thumbnail drive. Then through various means the data ended up in the hands of Wiki Leaks. You know the rest.

As individuals we have limited or no control over these type of outrageous transgressions which compromises your private and confidential data, not to mention potential national security issues, when held by a trusted organization, agency or corporation. However, you do have control over data place on USB spying gear drives in possession.

Treat data on your USB thumbnail drive as you'd expect your hospital, insurance company, or other agencies entrusted to handle your private data. You would not want it leaked or placed in the wrong hands. Accidents do happen, but insofar as possible one should try to protect data which is in one's direct control and access.

As a general rule of thumb one should never carrying or place on an USB spying gear device anything one cannot afford to lose or on a USB device that is not properly protected through means of strong encryption algorithms.
I'd encourage you as the reader to further investigate on how you can safely protect your data whether on an USB thumbnail storage device, your computing device at home or at the workplace.

Many people and companies use paper shredders as a regular part of business practice to protect private documents (data) or information not meant for circulation which is smart. As a consumer using sophisticated USB spying gear devices, i.e. USB thumbnail drives, the same practice should apply. I would submit not protecting your computer data can cause potentially harm. You need not be a highly skilled computer technician to protect your own data on your personal USB spying gear drive. Be proactive and try to mitigate any potential problems for yourself or others who entrust you to hold secure data.

How to handle Big Data From a Small Business Perspective

How to handle Big Data From a Small Business Perspective

Big data and small businesses just don't mix. It's clear by the terms alone that big data can significantly outweigh the capabilities of small business owners and employees. Having a lot of data is important-- even essential-- to running a business in the most effective way possible. However, the amount of data can often get overwhelming if you don't know how to handle it. Fortunately, there are some tips and tricks to handling big data in a responsible way to avoid stress and better manage the business as a whole. There are also many resources available for help with managing big data and taking some of the stress off of small business owners.

First, focus on the security of the data you already have. There's no point in managing big data if the information you currently have is at risk of being lost or stolen due to poor security. Always include copies of all of the digital and physical data your business owns and ensure everything is properly protected through passwords, codes, locks and other security measures. Be sure to choose a storage location that fits the needs of your business best in terms of data volume and budget. Have someone from the small business sort through portions of the data or hire someone to do it for you in order to consolidate as much as possible to save money on storage space. You should also ensure that the data storage medium of your choice is a good fit for the type of data generated and accumulated by your business. Research what similar companies are using for storage mediums and try to find something closer to this for a perfect fit.

Next, organize your data as much as possible in terms of frequent use and level of importance to the company. When it comes to big data, there's naturally going to be a lot of excess information that's of little to no importance to your company. Identify which information is used less frequently and store this data on external hard drives and normal servers. Store this information as cheaply as possible and don't worry about ensuring the security of the data as much as the more important data. Be sure all of the information you prioritize as less important is actually something your company won't need in the future. Secure this information to the best of your abilities, but again, don't waste a whole lot of time and money on keeping it safe it truly isn't that important.

Finally, organize a structured and detailed data storage plan and create strict storage policies to keep everything orderly and consistent to make things easier for future data generation. Discuss this plan with your hired management team as well as the employees involved in your business to ensure that everyone understands the formula for proper business data storage. This is so every employee will know what to do with a new customer record or invoice. This discussion can also be used to come up with new and improved methods for storing big data. With this set structure, it's less likely that valuable business data will be lost because of poor storage or poor policy execution. By practicing these organizational methods in your business every day, managing big data will become much easier. This is especially valuable to small businesses because better data management equals a better understanding of the company and increased improvement all around.

How to Fix Network Problems

How to Fix Network Problems

Network problems are often a reason for a lot of frustration. They can involve both hardware and software issues and sometimes require considerable degree of expertise and/or money to deal with. Adding to the desperation of the situation is that the internet is a good source for troubleshooting information on how to fix network problems, yet with a network problem, the internet often becomes inaccessible.

A common problem is that the computer can't reach the network. This might occur due to a number of reasons. The most obvious thing to do in such a situation is to check out the connectivity of the network cable. If everything is alright with the cable, then you need to check out installation issued of your network hardware. This can be done from the device manager: Click on "Device Manager" to open it. Look for "Network Adapters" and click the plus sign next to it. If you see an explanation point or a red X, this indicates a problem with your network card. Also, check out your network configuration: Right-click "Network Places" on your desktop. Choose "Properties" from the menu. Look for the "Local Area Connection" icon. Right-click it and go to "Properties." Click on "TCP/IP." If nothing works you should note down the details of the error and search for a solution on the internet from a working terminal.

Another common problem is that computers on the network are unable to detect each other. You can start by first checking whether you've the necessary provisions installed: Right click the "Network Places" icon on your desktop. Click "Properties." On the "General" tab, make sure you've "Client for Microsoft Windows" and "File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks" and "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" installed. Check other computers likewise and make sure that all are on the same workgroup or domain. You can also try turning off the firewall to find out whether it's causing the problem.

Information of how to fix network problems is abundant on the internet and varies from situation to situation. A few minor problems like being unable to renew an IP address can be fixed through the command prompt: Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt, then typing 'ipconfig /renew' to attempt to obtain an IP address from the command line. Some issues can be cured by setting up a static IP address. This was a bit information of how to fix network problems, further research on the internet is encouraged.

How to Make Windows 7 Run Faster

How to Make Windows 7 Run Faster

Very often, your Windows 7 computer can be performing very slow compared to what it once was. Thankfully, there are many very effective solutions to this even though there's an unlimited number of reasons to why your computer may be running slowly. I'm going to explain in detail, the best, and most efficient ways to make Windows 7 run faster on your computer.

Uninstall Unused Programs

Pretty much everyone who uses their computer on a regular basis will have programs on their computer which they simply don't use. Having programs on your computer which you don't use means that you're putting unnecessary strain on your computer for no reason that benefits you whatsoever. The fix this, all you've to do is uninstall any programs which you don't use by using the instructions below:

Click Start, then click Control Panel. When the control panel screen appears, click Uninstall a Program. You will now see a list of the programs which are installed on your computer. Now you should click any program name which you feel you don't use or need, and then click Uninstall. Now you will be promoted to an uninstall screen, and all you've to do from here is follow the instructions which are shown to you by the uninstaller. Repeat this process for all and any programs you don't use or need.

Delete Unused Files

This is really simple, and can be really effective. No doubt you'll have files such as pictures, music, or videos on your computer which you know yourself you probably will never look/listen to again. Having too many files on your computers hard drive can cause your computer to slow down due to the limited memory it can work with.

To delete unused files, all you've to do is go to your documents or desktop and find files you wont have any use for, and that are worthy of deletion. Right click, and click Delete to fully remove the file, and free space.

Closing Task Tray Programs

More often than not, you'll have programs running on your computer when you don't even know it! Programs which are running in your task tray will still be causing speed decreases of your computer even if you aren't actually properly using the program! You should close all programs which are running in your task tray which you're not using.

Closing programs which you're not using in your task tray is unbelievably simple. Simply goto the bottom right of your screen, right click, and close any programs which you are not using.

Although these methods of making your computer running Windows 7 faster may seem too simple, you would be surprised to how much they actually affect the performance of your computer! If you still see no change in the speed of your computer after using these methods, then it's probably because your computer simply can't handle all that you want it to do, and that it's time for you to upgrade to a more powerful computer.

For a long time, this is the moment you've been waiting for. It's "live day" on the new software! Everybody has been anticipating the big unveiling. You're nervous. After all, you had a major role in selecting the software. You're the one that has been telling everyone how great everything is going to be. It was your responsibility to coordinate the "data conversion". How will people answer the question, "What Happened to My Data?" Will they say "Wow, I never thought our data could look so good!" with a smile or "Where's all our stuff?" with a look of panic and disappointment. If it's the latter, I'd get out before the lynch mob formulates.

Data conversions have gotten a bad rap. Why not? There are certainly enough horror stories to go around. Like everything else, everyone talks about the bad things that happen but seldom do people share news on something that has gone right - unless asked.

So how do you avoid the look of panic and disappointment? You've to start with appreciating the magnitude of what you are dealing with. In order to tackle it you need to be scared of it. You wouldn't randomly walk into a lion's cage at the zoo or step out of an airplane without a parachute. Likewise, approach a data conversion fully prepared and informed. Understand the concept of what is going to happen, how it will be gone about and the results that you can expect to receive. The last point, "expect to receive" is the most critical. Let's break the process down into 10 simple rules.

Rule # 1: don't hand your data over to a stranger that you've never met, and ask them to handle the conversion without your input. You need a point person at your end and as many people as necessary to get involved in the process as an internal conversion team.

Rule # 2: don't ask for everyone's opinion. They'll all want something different and finally you'll have to separate people that are brawling in your conference room. Select "key" people within the organization who use the current system What Happened to My Data?

Rule # 3: When you're deciding on what data to take along, challenge yourself on why you need it and what role it will play in the new system. Remember, you're moving to a new software solution. If you spend too much time making it like your old system you'll lose the affect of what the new system can do for your organization. When you're making data decisions, decide on what information will be relative to success. Do you really need that field that was added 20 years ago and was only used by the guy that left? Is it a good idea to bring along old numeric codes just because "people are used to them". What about new people that you hire that are not used to them? Now is a good opportunity to map old codes to new ones that are easier to work with. Assess what you really need. This will not only reduce the conversion cost but eliminate getting bogged down with old irrelevant data on day 1 of the new solution. Believe me you'll never miss it.

Rule # 4: Work with a conversion professional. If you're converting name, address, city, state and zip probably anyone who knows how to import files can do the job. If you're converting a robust front office solution that features clients, candidates, job orders, and more then you need to work with a professional conversion expert(s). A lot can go wrong. Before you begin find out the types of conversions that were performed and ask questions on what the process will be. If the conversion expert simply wants to grab the data and run, put on the brakes. They need your help. If they say that they don't then begin devising a disaster plan.

Rule #5: Make sure your data is in good hands. You're handing over your entire database chock full of confidential data and information that is essential to your business. Ask how the data will be handled, who will have access to it and if it will be kept in a secure location during the process. You need to feel secure that your data goes nowhere but into your new database.

Rule #6: Your data conversion professional needs to work with your organization in order to create your "custom conversion bible". This is a list of all of the data that is going to be converted and where it will go in the new system. Even with a document such as this something is going to be missed, but it will ensure that all of the major data is covered. This document will also act as a reference tool for live day when you're trying to figure out where a piece of data is. The conversion team should work with the conversion professional in order to create this document. Audience participation is essential on this one. Never assume. Always ask questions. Stay involved.

Rule #7: Use your current screens and if possible compare field content with the raw data that the conversion professional is working with to ensure that the field data on your screen is the same information they are looking at in the data. This is a simple process of letting them know what is on your screen for a specific piece of information for a client or candidate; then having them affirm that Field X in the data they are looking at compares favorably. The headings on your screen in most cases will not match the headings in the database. You're viewing the outside of the car and the conversion professional is looking under the hood. You may be using the fax # to store cell #. In the database that field is still called fax #. If you don't tell them you use it for cell # it will be converted to fax #. You need to compare together because you may not know the database has it labeled as fax #. You had a custom screen change 10 years ago and only the screen heading was changed.

Rule #8: Have a realistic expectation of what the result will be. If you followed Rule #6 you know what you'll be getting and the conversion expert knows what you want. Even so, expect the unexpected. It's likely that a field was forgotten - poor chap. Usually it's a non-vital piece of information that can be procured if you really want it (think about this). Just tell the conversion expert what is missing and more than likely it could be recovered. If you convert from a legacy system, you may see formatting that is ugly. Sometimes legacy system notes look atrocious in a more contemporary environment. That's because many times formatting occurred using old techniques and when removed from that environment data may contain odd characters and not space properly. Not much can be done about this without spending a lot of conversion dollars, so try to look past this as long as you can read the information.

Rule #9: Come to terms with the premise that some data won't convert properly. Different systems handle things in dissimilar ways. What makes sense to do under one philosophy upsets the apple cart in another. If you try to force an old design on a new system the end result will be that employees will try to use the new system as if it were the old. This will be frustrating and the company will not be able to benefit from the features that made you make the transition to begin with. This is very difficult to come to terms with but it is obligatory if you're to make a commitment to the new technology. Otherwise, why spend the money?

Rule # 10: Prepare employees for the change. Provide details on how they can check their data on live day. Review the conversion. Train everyone how to operate the software using a professional trainer. Discuss system differences. Put together a new system procedure handbook. Talk about new processes. Let people know that it's ok to be a little scared. Life as they know it at work will be different. Address the concerns of the naysayers and make it clear that they are expected to use the new system and that the old system is not coming back. Use your conversion team leaders to help with the transition and inject positive statements into the environment. It's challenging because everyone has to learn the new software and at the same time fulfill their job responsibilities. This is an exciting time because new ways are available in order to produce more successful results and profitability. The company can compete more effectively and enhance the customer service experience for customers and candidates. Make this evident to employees. Share the technology plan and make everyone feel a part of it. Have team leaders available to help the new users. You're on your way and have converted successfully.

How to Upload Video to youtube

How to Upload Video to youtube

If you think of it, there were almost no videos on the internet before YouTube came in the picture. Now millions of videos are uploaded to YouTube every day, and regular people like you and me are using it as a channel to express their opinions, views and feelings.

Uploading videos on YouTube is fairly simple. But first you need to create your YouTube account. Go to YouTube.com and search in the upper right corner of the website, you'll find a link named "create account", follow the instructions and you'll create your account. After this you'll get a new email from YouTube to the email you used to create your account asking you to confirm that you created an account using that email address, follow the instructions and click the link, it will take you back to YouTube where you'll be logged in.

Now that you're logged in, you can find a link in the upper right region of the website named "Upload" click it and it will take you to a page where you can upload your video. There will be a big yellow button with the text "Upload video", click it and you'll be given the option to select a file from your hard drive, browse trough your computer and find your video and click open.

The video will start uploading to YouTube, when this is happening you've the option to choose your title, description, category and tags. You also need to choose if you want the video to be public, private or unlisted. Public videos are available for anyone and are listed in the YouTube search engine, private videos are only available for you and for users that you give special permission to see the video and unlisted videos are videos that don't appear in the search results in YouTube and can be accessed only trough the special URL for the video (really handy way to share your video only with your close friends)

After the video is uploaded, YouTube needs to process it, this process involves checking for copyright and converting the video in different formats and qualities so it can be accessed from slow and fast connections and from mobile phones.

While the processing is complete, normally takes 5-10 minutes, your video is officially on YouTube.

However you might have problems with your uploads if your video is in unsupported formats or contains copyrighted material (usually copyrighted music).

For now YouTube supports these extensions:

    .MPEG4
    .3GP
    .MOV
    .AVI
    .WMV
    .FLV
    .MPEGPS

If your video is in a different format you'll have to convert it to one of those formats and then upload it to YouTube.

Converting videos from one format to another was tricky few years earlier when you couldn't find a decent free converter service, However these days there are many online services like convert files.com that can do this for free.

The next step you can take after uploading your video is to make sure it gets more YouTube views or you can learn how to get more subscribers on YouTube

Laptop computer Bags for College Students

Laptop computer Bags for College Students

When everybody needs a laptop bag, students will need them for obvious reasons. The present study environment will require that students use laptops and because a laptop is an expensive item, it must be protected and hence the laptop bag. Most students will also need to carry the materials that they use in college such as books, stationery, writing pads, writing material and all that they need when attending lessons.

A laptop bag that can carry both the laptop and the additional accompanying materials that are required when going to college would be ideal and must have ample space. While students will look for a laptop bag that's stylish, they'll also want something that's convenient and sufficient as well as affordable. Thus unlike the messenger type of bags that are carried by hanging with a strap and used for carrying laptops, students will require bags that are befitting with their needs and are designed to be carried like backpacks over the shoulder.

Laptop bags for college students will have pockets on the outside and on the sides so that they're able to carry materials such as pens, notebooks, and many other things that college students will require when they attend classes. While most laptops that college students use are not bulky, they nonetheless have to be carried securely because they have lots of data that the students use in college. It would be very unfortunate if data is lost because of a bag that is not sturdy enough.

With college students being very active, they need a laptop bat that will give them the security of protection and safety regardless of the conditions that the students have to go through everyday. The laptop bags that are used by college students must then be sturdy, long-lasting and able to withstand any day-to-day exposure to the conditions that the students subject the bags to so that the laptops remain safe. While the laptop bags are made with the college students in mind and they have to be durable, college students also love bags that are trendy and it's important to combine fashionable bags with sturdiness.

But bags that students use must also be spacious because they carry lots of things in them. If you think of all the things college students carry, including their files, folders, notepads, books and stationery supplies that they have to use in college, then it is important that the laptop bags have lots of space and many pockets and compartments that can carry the items. Extra space is important for carrying things like disks and USB's or any other small items.

What is important is that laptop bags for students should be functional and fashionable. The bag must also be lightweight because a bag that is not light weight will be too strenuous on the shoulders of the students. The bag should have a considerable amount of cushion so that the laptop is given enough padding and doesn't scratch because of the protective sheath. Whatever laptop bag students use, they must have all the above considerations.

How To accelerate Your computing device Quickly And Easily

How To accelerate Your computing device Quickly And Easily

You frequently restart it just to find out that your work is lost. If you would like to avoid wasting your time and effort just because of a slow-running system here are some simple and yet very effective ways to accelerate your computing device.

First of all, you had better try increasing the virtual memory space on your personal computer. In many cases the issue is related to lack of RAM, or Ram. You will be able to reset it by clicking on your start menu, then on 'My Computer', where you should an option called 'system information' or 'system performances'. Under performance you should click the 'settings' link, then the 'advanced' option. Lastly, click 'change' from the virtual memory option. There you'll be able to change the virtual memory settings for your system and if needed, free up some space.

Another thing that might help is to store less files within your C drive. The C drive is usually the main drive that contains all the files required by the OS. If you've too many games, applications or other files there that you can do without, do not forget to delete them. Resetting your start=up menu can also do wonders when trying to speed up your computer. And the good news is that it's actually a fairly easy process. All you've to do is to delete the programs that you don't need to execute whenever the system starts up.

While some people can settle for rebooting their PCs every time they run so slow that they're unusable, or already frozen, you should have higher standards. There's no point in getting frustrated due to data loss. A slow system means low work efficiency, a lot of time wasted and nervous break downs. Why would someone have to handle all of these when the solutions are so simple that everyone can apply them? You don't have to be a computer geek to check the amount of free virtual memory or to delete the applications that are wasting your computer's resources and your time.

Overheating: For a CPU that's overheating, you may check the PC wellness segment of your BIOS. A healthy CPU fan generally runs at on 3000 to 5000 RPMS. You may also want to check your power supply and video card fan. A fan may be repaired by cleaning it (removing and unclogging dirt on its blades).
Computer storage: Widows generally detects a problem with your computer's memory and may start the memory diagnostics tool automatically.
However, if you suspect that there is a problem with your memory and wish to start diagnostics manually, go to the memory diagnostic tool, which is under, Control Panel>System and Maintenance> Administrative tools. You will be prompted to choose whether to run the program on restart or restart and run later.

Errors on your disk drive: To check for errors on your Hard Drive, go to My Computer, right click on the drive, and click Properties>Tools and then click Check Now...You may choose automatically fix file system errors for a more thorough scan.

Out-of-date or poorly programmed device drivers: while your computer seems to predictably crash when you perform certain tasks such as play games, watch movies or plug-in certain hardware such as a joystick, the drivers associated to that task may have a problem. The first thing is to check for compatibility. Check if the drivers you installed meant for your version of Windows.

Corrupt files and programs: Corrupt files may also present problems in your system. A corrupt file is sometimes created when there's interruption when you try to

The quickest way to find a problem is to always start with the most obvious cause. Generally speaking, hardware malfunctions are usually the most obvious and easiest to fix. Secondly, check if there is a pattern for the "crashes", especially if you have encountered several "crashes" before. For example, you may find that your computing device tends to crash when you're watching movies; this may indicate a problem with your graphics card drivers.

What causes a computer crash?

A computing device crash is a condition where a computer's application and or operating system ceases to function properly and exists, due to a malfunction in the execution of the machine instruction. The most commonly known computer crash is arguably the "Blue Screen of Death". These crashes sometimes happen at least convenient time, like when you're about to finish an assignment or report, not to mention the time wasted when you try to restore the system.

Why Is Your computing device Running Slower Than Normal?

Why Is Your computing device Running Slower Than Normal?

If you've a computer you're not unfamiliar to computer repairs. It is inevitable that your computer will eventually run slow or not at all especially if you are a novice to technology which lets admit most of us are. One of the biggest reasons clients bring their computers in is that they are slower than when they first purchased them. They always want to know who or what is to blame for this. No one wants to hear it but the problem your computer may be running slower than when you purchase it is... YOU!

Maintenance is the key in making sure your computer keeps running at peak performance. Just like your car needs regular oil changes and filter changes your computer needs tune ups to clean up the registry of old programs not in use, updates on spyware and adjustment of settings to insure peak performance. Of course there could be more reasons for the slow down. It is best to take the computer in to a local computer repair firm, as you'd your car to a mechanic; to have it thoroughly looked at.

Additional reasons that your computer may be having issues running slower than normal could be that your computer has contracted a virus. Trojans, spyware and malware may be the cause of the issue with your computer running slowly. Spyware creates an issue where outsiders have gotten into your computer without you knowing it and start sending out personal data to entities that will take advantage of your system and cause it to run slowly. Even if you've newest virus protection you will be able to still become infected it just lessens the likelihood. Computer repair in the form of a virus scan and removal are wanted and can be done at your local computer repair store. It is also recommended that a tune up be performed on your personal computer at this time to regain the speed and efficiency of your computer.

You can also inspect your computer and delete files and programs that have been added that are unnecessary. The more files and programs you keep stored on the hard drive of your computer the slower it will run. I recommend having a separate flash drive to store big files such as pictures, word and excel documents. The space adds up quickly. Also, delete any unnecessary short cuts on your desk top they could be causing your computer to run at a snail's pace.

It is important if you have tried all of the similar solutions to look at the computer's hard drive. Run a disk defragmenter which will help optimize how data is stored and then Scandisk to help ensure nothing is actually corrupt within the drive.

Another issue that is common is that the processor is overheating. This is common. You'll want to first be sure the cooling system in the computer, the fan, is running. If not it will need to be shut off and taken in for the fan to be replaced. If the fan is running look to make sure a build-up of dust is not causing an issue or that the cabinet the computer is stored in is not blocking the air flow. I have found this happens to me when I am in bed using the laptop and forget about the heat issue. If I set the computer on the blankets the air flow is blocked and the computer will have issues.

Memory, disk drive disk space and conflict in hardware/software are all problems that could also be responsible for the slowing down of your computer. If you've a computer repair check all of the above and there's still issues they will most likely recommend you do an OS reload. Basically this will consist of wiping the computer clean and reloading your OS. Be sure your data is backed up before doing this. Also, this requires installation of the programs that you keep going your computer. This is basically a last resort but it will make your computer like when you first brought it home.

How to Safely Clean laptop computer Keyboard

How to Safely Clean laptop computer Keyboard

All right, thusly the other day you spilled a little of soda onto your new laptop keyboard, and the next day arrives and some of the laptop keys don't come back up when you press them down. That is no big deal. There's no reason to send your laptop away to have its keyboard replaced. It can cost $50 to have a laptop's keyboard replaced. All that's needed to clean them are a few household items.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you incorrectly pop off and break the mechanism under your keyboard keys ending up with a broken computer. Some keys, mainly the non-square ones, are trickier to get off and are some of the times not as simple as just "popping them off" because they've metal prongs or clasps.

Fabrics Needed:

1 cue-tip per couple of keyboard keys
    glass of water
a small thin object used as leverage to pop off the laptop key (pocket-knife, car key, etc)

Directions:

Be sure your computer is off while working with the hardware. Generally, pouring liquid onto just your keyboard isn't that harmful, but since it's a laptop computer, the liquid could seep into more important components of your computer and cause harm to your computer and possibly yourself.
Take the pocket-knife and wedge it in between the sticky key and the base of the keyboard. Your fingernail can also be used as a wedge of it is long enough. Mine are not. You can pop off and clean more than one at a time, just be sure of the keyboard's layout so you do not get confused when replacing the laptop keys.
Lift up with the pocket-knife and pop off the key. It might take a little more force than you feel comfortable with, but that is OK. Most keyboard keys are fastened kind of tightly by two very small pieces of plastic and 2 indentations in the key socket. They also tend to be much flatter than a normal desktop keyboard's keys, hence the need of a pocket-knife.
Touch the end of a cue-tip to the water ever so slightly. You just want it to be damp - not dripping. Fun Fact: Most electronic devices will be fine if you splash water on them as long as they are completely dry before power is turned back on.
Use the cue-tip to clean the underside of the laptop key, the laptop key socket, and the area directly around the socket. The cue-tip makes sure that you lift up all of the stickiness that might be hiding in small places.
Replace the key you just cleaned, and press it a few times to make sure it works properly.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 until your laptop no longer has sticky keys.

Some keys can simply not be saved, especially if they are broken computer keys because of excessive use and not because of poor use. Replacement laptop computer keys are typically easy to find online and don't cost more than a couple of dollars per key.

Tips For Finding Cheap Laptops

Tips For Finding Cheap Laptops

In this article I hope to highlight a few cheap laptops available either online or offline. Bear in mind that while I tell cheap, it doesn't mean poor quality laptops. I prefer to draw your attention to some of the affordable but great quality laptops available out there so that you will be able to make an informed conclusion on your following purchase. If you're not planning on designing heavy-duty graphics and then, Samsung, Dell, Acer, HP, Toshiba, Sony, Asus, Apple and Lenovo all have cheap laptops available online and in their physical computer storage.
You just have to put in a little bit of extra effort to do your research and snag the best bargains out there.

If you are reading this article you are obviously looking for laptops that are cheap. But how cheap do you want them to be. Don't be sparing on something like a laptop, because you might at least want to use it for more than a few months. So decide on the best price you can afford and narrow your search from there. A great time to look for cheap laptop is during showroom sales or seasonal sales when prices are slashed due to new stocks coming in or owing to seasonal cheer. You may also look for second-hand or refurbished laptops if you want less expensive laptops, but if i were you i will stay away from them unless they offer a warranty or they are from an extremely reliable source. If you are not satisfied with any of the laptops available both online or on physical stores, look for easy payment schemes or interest free credit card payments to buy the laptop best suited to you.

When it comes to cheap laptops, some HP pavilion models offer a great graphic performance and a relatively long battery life for an extremely affordable price. Extremely sleek and modern in design, the HP pavilion range also offers the Cool Sense technology. It has excellent battery life if that is what you are looking for and the sound system is not bad either. The Toshiba satellite series also has a few low-cost laptops which offer great performance. These laptops have larger screens compared to others in the same price. It is worth the mention that it also has above average battery life.

If battery life is one of the key features you're searching, and then add the Toshiba satellite series to your list of cheap laptops in the market. The MSI model also has a few cheap laptops you will be able to check out. Although, it takes a bit longer to boost USB, but then it has an first-class audio output, sleek styling and comfortable keyboard, above average battery life and most of all strong graphic performance for the discounted cost it is on offer.

Fix your laptop computer

Fix your laptop computer

Laptops and netbooks are widely distributed present. Everyplace you look, you can find a person holding his very own laptop. This is because laptops can offer almost everything that a desktop computer could offer with the benefit of saving space plus the advantage of using it anytime, anywhere. As a laptop user, you should also know about laptop computer repair to better care for your unit and save money spent on repair.

Here are some tips for laptop computer repair:

• Create Back Up

Back up is important because it allows you to keep important files just in case you've do something that shouldn't be done while trying to repair a laptop. So before you take any further steps for repairing your laptop, make sure you have taken this important action.

• Turn the Laptop Off
Be sure that your laptop is off and disconnected to avoid shock or electrocution. Remove also the battery and the hard disk if there's a need to disassemble.

• Disassemble When Necessary

Only when it is becomes necessary should you dissemble your laptop. Don't try to disassemble it right away if you still have other options for repairing your unit. If the problem is in the software, then don't touch or try to open (physically) your unit. Try restarting it or perhaps reformatting it.

If you have already exhausted all possible choices for laptop computer repair, and then you should disassemble it. Naturally, you need to make sure you know what you're doing, otherwise you'll end up wasting your time and damaging your laptop computer.

When opening up your laptop, make sure also that you have the proper tools. Put the parts that you remove in a container or any place near you where it is safe. The screws must stay on the parts where they have been attached before disassembling and make sure to place it back properly when you reassemble it. In the process of bringing down the parts, observe well how the wires are connected before taking it apart and, to be more on the safe side, take some notes to help you remember the proper placement of the connectors and parts when it is time to reassemble the machine.

The principle behind laptop computer repair is taking your time. Patience is very much needed and haste must be avoided. The above tips are helpful but if you find it beyond your skill then seeking a computer technician is a practical course of action.

How to Remedy a Slow Running Computer

How to Remedy a Slow Running Computer

By Wallace Trevino
There's no better computer experience than the experience of a shiny new computer and the quick run of the computer. Unfortunately, over time, the computer does begin to slow, and there are many reason why. For those that are not computer savvy, it is not necessarily caused by downloading the wrong program like many of us think. It happens with time, and not knowing how to care for your computing device. There are steps that you can take to help your computer run faster. You will want to familiarize yourself with the reasons why it may be running slow and how to correct the issue.

What are some of the causes that may slow down your computing device?

Bad hardware

Corrupt OS

Computing device is overheating Missing windows update / out-of-date driver Data corruption

Left over programs and bad files Lack of hard drive space
