L.A. County sends over 2 tons of animal carcasses to commercial pet food processing plants every month. Yes, you read that right, 2 (two) tons every month. And that includes the drugs that were in their system when they were put down. Of course, that’s if they were put down. Road kill carcasses get included as well. Can you imagine other dogs being one of the secret ingredients in the commercial dog food your feeding your puppy?

Experts are finally coming forward with the truth about commercial dog food. Renowned dog health author Ann M. Martin summarizes it best with her single sentence, “Most commercial pet foods are garbage”. World famous vet and dog care author Alfred Plechner says the poor nutritional properties of commercial dog food inevitably lead to disease. Debra Lynn Dadd, author of ‘Home Safe Home’ states that many commercial dog food companies claim their product is a complete and healthy meal is false.

“Many pet foods claim to be “100% nutritionally complete and balanced.” This claim legally can be made and printed on commercial products based on information studies using isolated nutrients and not whole foods. These tests ignore important nutritional issues and give consumers a false sense of knowledge and security. There are more than forty known, essential nutrients… thus, making sure a food contains appropriate amounts of only a dozen of these nutrients can’t possibly assure that a food is “complete.”

Healthy Golden Retriever Puppies

Major dog food companies fill their processed food with preservatives to increase its shelf life and maximize their profits. They know these preservatives kill millions of pets every single year but without them, their profits would not be as large……and that is the bottom line.

WARNING: If you continue to feed your puppy commercial dog food, death-by-disease is practically guaranteed! You must find an alternative and it doesn’t have to mean spending more money.

For your convenience, and if you just care to cut to the bottom line, check out the banner ad to the right or the text links to see what I believe is by far, hands down, the best wellness dog food and dog food recipes material ever produced. Check it out here “Dog Food Secrets”.

WARNING: If you think your dog deserves better, it’s your responsibility to act now before it becomes fatally ill. The solution is simple once you know how (and cheaper), that’s what I’m going to show you in three steps.

Continue on to see the 3 Steps……….Step 1 – Please stop using commercial dog food Golden Retriever puppies only or main source of food. This step is the most important and you should make the change in the next couple of days. However, you can’t make this change unless you have a good alternative plan in place. I can show you a proven alternative plan; it’s much easier than you think and much cheaper than you’re spending now.

Step 2 – Learn how to read commercial dog food labels. I understand it’s not practical for most people to never use commercial dog food ever again. Although not best case, you can use it sparingly for maybe a few meals during the week. (If this is you, you need to hear about The Confidential Dog Food Report.. I mention it in Step 3 below) The Grocery Manufacturers of America, the National Food Processors Association, and the Pet Food Institute join together and fight the FDA to keep the terms used as confusing and misleading as possible.

I learned how to decipher their deliberate ‘double-talk’ and I’ll show you how to understand it too…again, that’s coming soon.

Step 3 – Get some healthy, wellness dog food that’s well balanced for Golden Retriever puppies. Get dog food recipes and start feeding your dog home made food. I have a huge collection I’m happy to share with you. It’s very easy, if you know how to cook specifically for dogs. Just cook a large batch, freeze it and it can be eaten over several days. But be sure you have a good source of recipes written especially for dogs because they have very specific requirements, different to humans. If not done right, it’s possible to love your dog to death with too much of the wrong foods.

Easily complete each of those 3 steps and much more by checking out “Dog Food Secrets”. You’ll quickly discover all about wellness dog food and dog food recipes.

Here’s 12 Reasons to consider. I think they’re compelling and for me, when it came down to it and the love of my dog, it was a “no-brainer”.

12 Incredible benefits of home-feeding your dog with wellness dog food and mouth-watering dog food recipes that use seasonal-calorie specifications. You could make wellness puppy dog food, wellness grain free dog food, wellness venison dog food, wellness canine food. You’ll know all the wellness puppy dog food ingredients so you could even create your own recipes.

1) Your dog lives up to 8.3-years longer (it’s been documented!). You get many more happy years of love and enjoyment with your dog.

2) Your dog looks and feels much healthier. Friends and strangers comment on the great health of your dog, and your dog has more bounce and a bigger smile than ever before.

3) If you follow the calorie recommendations I make, your dog is a perfect, slim and attractive weight. High fat and sugar levels in commercial food are a leading cause for obesity in dogs — and obesity is the #1 health disorder seen by vets across the US.

4) Your dog is much less likely to get to ear and skin infections, worms and fleas. Your dog is much more comfortable and you save a fortune on vet bills.

5) Your dog ABSOLUTELY loves the meals you cook and loves you more than ever for making them. Dog’s are great at showing appreciation and they really do love you more… this is one of the best benefits!

6) Your dog’s teeth are much cleaner and breath smells much better, so you enjoy being around them more.

7) Your dog passes up to 80% less gas, so you can have them in the house or in the car more often without worrying about stinking you out

8} You dog’s poo is smaller and has much less stink, so cleaning up after your dog is no longer a revolting ’stomach-turner’.

9) Your dog is better behaved (chemicals in dog food are proven to cause behavior problems), making them friendlier and safer around children.

10) You save money, it’s actually much cheaper than buying well-known brands of dog food. Save as much as $1000/year, that’s well over $10,000 over the lifetime of a dog that eats healthy home-cooked food!

11) You aren’t giving $1500/year to companies that lie to your face, take your money and then give you poisonous food they know is killing your dog.

12) You can add the single most important ingredient that is only possible in home-made food –> Your love!

Do yourself and your dog a favor; check out “Dog Food Secrets”. I absolutely promise you’ll be pleased and it’ll probably be the most loving thing you’ll ever do for your Golden Retriever puppies. It’s wellness dog food and dog food recipes like you’ve never seen.

With your help, your dog & best-friend can live a very long & happy life with these secrets.

You’ve picked out one of the best Golden Retriever Puppies you could find. Now what? You need to think about puppy names. Over the course of your pup’s life, you will use your dog’s name more than 35,000 times. So be sure you’re choosing a name you can live with and or downright love.

If you need help choosing, be sure to grab your copy of our FREE Ebook “Big Book Of Puppy Names”. It has 7000+ names for puppies and dogs. It’s got them all. Female puppy names, male puppy names, girl puppy names, boy puppy names, etc.

NOTE: After you’ve considered your puppies names and hopefully picked the perfect name, start teaching and training your puppy right away (best time) to be well behaved and know what your rules are. This isn’t hard to do when it’s done in a way dogs understand. Check out “Secrets To Dog Training” . It’s what I believe is by far, hands down, the best dog obedience training material ever produced. 216,236 dog owners and counting are using these highly successful techniques. It covers every kind of dog obedience training and dog behavior issue you can think of. It also includes a totally FREE “Secrets To Dog Training 6 Day Course”.

Finding the perfect puppy dogs names doesn’t have to be hard. Dogs better understand short commands so short names are easiest for them. Simple names with one or two syllables are usually best. Names for puppies shouldn’t sound like any commands. “Stacy” and “stay” sound too much alike and may confuse your puppy.

<img class="size-full wp-image-128" title="Golden Retriever puppies blog image puppy names and names for puppies" src="http://www.goldenretrieverpuppiesinfo.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/Nancy-With-Her-Golden-Retriever-Dog4.jpg" alt="Nancy G. with "Maggie".
If possible, let your kids be part of the choosing puppy names process. Kids like keeping it simple too. Keep in mind that you’ll be using your puppy’s name in public. “Stinky” may be cute among your immediate family or friends, but it won’t go over well at the veterinarian or around casual acquaintances. You may think it’s an honor to name your pup after you’re favorite Uncle Arnold. He might find naming your baby after him an honor, but naming your puppy after him, not so much. Purebred Golden Retriever puppies are eligible to be AKC registered. A hoity toity name will be required for that purpose but not for everyday use.

If you’re bringing home or adopting an older or adult dog, ideally, you should…..

Article Continues On……..

stick with the name he already knows and responds to. If you absolutely can’t stand it because “Barney” was the name of the first boy who broke your heart, then choose a name with a similar sound and syllables, like “Farley”.

You should make a list of possible names for puppies as you go through the process. Once you’ve narrowed down your puppy names list and selected a name, try it out for a day or so and see how it feels. In short time you should know whether it’s a keeper. If not, there’s always lots more possible names for puppies on the list you made.

For ideas for names for puppies, just look around you. Almost anywhere you are, you should find a variety of terrific ideas on what names might be fitting for puppies. A get together of family and friends is a great way to get lots of possibilities. Just ask for suggestions and they’ll start throwing names at you faster then you can write. Also, keep in mind that Golden Retriever puppies won’t always be puppies and will you be happy with their name, as they become a full-grown adult dog.

Get to know his personality for a day or two first. Invariably, a couple things will stand out about your new puppy. As you’re doing that, take these into consideration. Appearance. What’s your puppy look like? His color, size, and his unique style might inspire a variety of name choices. “Stubbs” might be a great name for a dachshund pup. Personality. Given a couple of days, your new puppy’s personality is bound to shine through. Try “Cuddles” for the cute little guy who just loves to get cozy and snuggle with you. Or, perhaps “Puddles” for the pooch who can’t seem to find the doggie door. Puppy dog breeds occasionally can provide name inspiration but often not. Puppy names breed often have too many syllables to be a good name.

If you want to go beyond the basics, many famous dog names or foreign names can be fitting choices. Well-known celebrity puppy names are popular choices. Today, pooches can almost have as much of a celebrity following as their famous owners. These aren’t Golden Retriever puppies but here are a few favorite puppy names you might consider when making your decision. “Bo” is President Obama’s new puppy’s name. “Lola,” is a cool name used by both Hilary Duff and the Osbournes. Britney Spear’s dog’s names are Lacey and Bit. Tinkerbell is Paris Hilton’s famous pooch.

Then, there are TV dogs. “Scooby” and “Astro” are well known cute puppy names. Movie dogs and cool dog names seem to go hand in hand. “Farley” was a hit in a recent dog movie as many animated dogs also became famous. “Blue” would be a fitting label for a variety of dogs or who could forget “Yeller” from the movie Old Yeller. Or, there are all the Comic dogs. “Snoopy” is always fun, but also consider “Daisy” or “Odie.” German dog names are popular, such as “Fritz” or “Kaiser.” Irish dog names. “Finn” fits well for any puppy or dog, as does “Murphy,” which just happens to mean “hound of the sea.” Of course there’s always the sophisticated sounding French names for puppies, like “Pierre” or “Gigi. Fortunately, names for Golden Retriever puppies are totally versatile.

Now that you’re on your way to finding the perfect puppy names, get ready for the next step. Teaching your puppy to be well behaved and know what your rules are. This isn’t hard to do when it’s done in a way dogs understand. Do yourself and your dog a favor, check out “Secrets To Dog Training”. I absolutely promise you’ll be pleased and it’ll probably be the most loving thing you’ll ever do for your new family member.

If you own Golden Retriever puppies and are dealing with dog health problems, knowing when to take your puppy to the vet and when to let him “self-regulate is a pretty tricky business – how do you tell when he needs to see a professional? After all, it’s not as if you can rely on your dog to let you know. Nobody likes forking out $80 for a needless visit to the vet, but then again no conscientious dog-owner can bear to contemplate your dog’s suffering, either! Frankly, it’s a bit of a quandary.

I’ve owned dogs on and off my whole life, and this is still something that I’ve never been 100% comfortable with: of course, I’d always rather be safe than sorry (this has resulted in many, many unnecessary trips to the vet over the years, just to put my mind at ease) ….but I’ve also always wished for the kind of solid grounding in canine medical basics which would enable me to confidently decide for myself when my dog health problems are such he needs to see the vet – and when I can save both him and myself the hassle!

Dog Health Problems Digestive System Image

Stress-Free Dog Care For All Dogs, Not Just Golden Retriever Puppies

You can imagine the relief I felt when I happened across The Ultimate Guide to Dog Health (by Malcolm Fields – dog-care professional) on the Internet. It was uncanny: this guide is exactly what I was looking for. It’s complete and detailed, covering all the common dog health problems (both serious and not) that dogs suffer from; the overall focus is on being prepared and taking preventative action; it teaches you how to accurately self-diagnose (with the assistance of step-by-step flowcharts which tell you whether he’ll be fine by himself, whether he needs to see the vet, and how urgently the vet should be seen); and, while it’s packed with knowledge and advice from veterinarians and trained dog-care specialists, it’s easy on the eye and reader-friendly … you can actually understand what they’re trying to say!

The Ultimate Guide To Dog Health And Dog Health Problems For Golden Retriever Puppies

What’s Actually Covered?

Article Continues On………

In a nutshell, it’s detailed (but not dauntingly so), comprehensive (covering all the common ailments and illnesses), knowledgeable (while retaining a conversational, easy-to-understand tone) and it gives you the kind of introduction to canine healthcare and dog health problems that’ll allow you to take good care of your dog – without spending unnecessary time and effort trying to absorb the jargon of a veterinary textbook!

The book deals with all the common problems and ailments suffered by Golden Retriever puppies and all dogs in general. It covers issues like toothache and dental trouble, ear infections, skin rashes and chafing, eye irritations, worming issues, and lameness; chronic problems like vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, asthma, breathing trouble, and liver problems; more severe issues like arthritis and cancer; and symptomatic “alerts? like hair loss, lethargy, and behavioral changes.

On top of that, you also learn how to pick up early warning signs by identifying and accurately interpreting your dog’s body language; how to groom your dog quickly and effectively; how to take good care of his teeth and gums; how to administer medicine safely and easily; and how to recognize the early warning signs of health trouble through behavioral and physical changes. All this information is fully supplemented by full-color diagrams, photographs, and illustrations.

My Favorite Part

While it’s great to learn about canine anatomy and dog health problems, the thing that I wanted to know more than anything else was: How can I tell how serious the problem is, and when do I need to take my dog to the vet?

So I was particularly happy to note the presence of the many and detailed symptom charts, which were designed especially to help owners make solid decisions about their dog’s health-care. Each chart starts from the specific symptoms of a particular ailment (you just follow the “branches? of the flowchart, depending on the symptoms that your dog has) and tells you the recommended path of treatment for each one, as well as advising whether veterinary care should be sought – and if so, how urgently. Pure genius!

Something for Nothing

In addition to the fully-illustrated, 240-page guide itself, you also get a handful of tempting freebies: specifically, four bonus books.

There’s “The Ultimate Guide to Dog First Aid?, which is an incredibly useful resource for those situations requiring an immediate response (including how to perform the canine Heimlich maneuver and doggie CPR); “180 Gourmet Recipes for Your Dog?, which really teaches you how to indulge your pooch’s taste buds; “101 Ways to Spoil Your Dog for Under $10?, detailing all kinds of luxuries-on-a-budget and activities for you and your dog to enjoy together; and “20 Super-Healthy Recipes for Your Dog? – which proves that doggie health-food is as delicious as anything else! These books have a combined value of over $80 – not a bad freebie!

The Ultimate Guide to Dog Health: Summed Up For All Dogs, Not Just Golden Retriever Puppies

All in all, I couldn’t be happier with this product. It’s exactly what I was looking for – and even if I hadn’t spent the last decade or so wishing for a book just like it, I think I’d still snap it up in a second: it’s that useful.

This is an information resource that every responsible dog owner should have access to. Not only does it enable you to make good decisions about the more serious health issues commonly suffered by dogs, but you learn a lot about the minor, day-to-day ailments and afflictions that almost every dog will encounter from time to time, as well as a host of useful facts on preventative care.

The Ultimate Guide To Dog Health And Dog Health Problems For Golden Retriever Puppies

This comprehensive guide to dog health will help you to spot little dog health problems before they become big ones: truly indispensable.

All of us dream of parenting the perfect dog, and you can, if training puppies is done correctly, with care and consistency. Success in obedience training puppies starts with basic puppy training. Pups learn from day one and need to be taught what is right and what is wrong. Puppies can be like children; they need constant supervision and training. Training puppies need not be an ordeal if you keep a few simple puppy training rules in mind. Training golden retriever puppies is pretty easy and they’re usually pretty fast learners.

NOTE: After reading this article, please be sure to check out “Secrets To Dog Training”. It’s what I believe is by far, hands down, the best dog obedience training material ever produced. 216,236 dog owners and counting are using these highly successful techniques. It covers every kind of dog obedience training and dog behavior issue you can think of. It also includes a totally FREE “Secrets To Dog Training 6 Day E Course”.

Here’s the 10 Tips.

1) Until your pup learns puppy obedience training, you need to keep an eye on him at all times. When you cannot then you must crate him. Create a schedule for your puppy, as this will help him settle down quickly. Dogs love routines and knowing what usually happens next. The schedule must include things like hourly puppy potty training, eating times, rest periods, walks (leash training puppies), play time, puppy training barking, puppy training chewing, puppy training biting and so on. Separation training puppies is sometimes necessary to prevent puppy separation anxiety. Nonetheless, a pup that has a busy day has no time to be bored and get into mischief.

"Sara" loved her puppy training. Image provided for Golden Retriever puppies blog post regarding training puppies.

2) It’s best to teach golden retriever puppies to respect you asap. Dogs live in packs and instinctively follow a leader. If you establish your leadership in no uncertain terms, then puppy training will become easy, as your puppy will obey you at all times and not challenge your authority.

3) Use only positive methods when training puppies. Never shout at, hit, or punish a dog. It is not just cruel but can lead to behavioral problems. Use of electric shocks, prong collars, sprays, and so on could seriously hurt the dog.

4) Teach the pup “nothing in life is free.” This is a system that is widely acknowledged as a useful training tool. If you practice this, your pup will learn that to get something like love, a walk, or treat, he must behave well. This is especially effective for puppy training housebreaking,

5) While training puppies, teach the meaning of “No,” from day one. Do not encourage behaviors like jumping, mouthing, tug-o-war, barking, or running out of open gates and doors. Praise good behavior and ignore or walk away when there is bad behavior. The pup will learn that if he misbehaves he will loose his companion/playmate.

6) To correct a behavior you must catch the pup in the act and startle him by rattling a can of pebbles. This works well for potty training puppies. Show him the correct behavior and immediately offer him a treat and praise. Pups do not recall what happened earlier so scolding him after an event is of no use.

7) Always call/use his name positively. Never say “Bad Fido,” or “No Fido,” this will cause confusion and the pup will think that if you call his name then it is something bad. The pup must associate his name with happy events like hugs, petting, walks, treats, and such. If this happens he will come willingly when you call out his name.

8} Crate training puppies is the main cure and often eliminates the need for separation training puppies. Create a training schedule that is short and sweet, say 10 minutes at least three times a day. We have a post covering puppy crate training that goes in much more detail. Long repetitive lessons can be boring and the pup will loose interest in learning. Make puppy crate training fun and use trick training to teach commands like sit, down, come and so on.

9) Bond with your golden retriever puppy and both of you will enjoy your lessons. The pup must look forward to spending time with you and not avoid you by running away or hiding. Be sure to socialize the pup early. Socialization is one of the most important lessons. The pup must learn to be around other animals, people, sounds, vehicles, and other activities. So, slowly introduce the pup when he is little to everyday activities and sounds. Take him to the mall/ park, introduce him to children and other pets, and make him unafraid of the vacuum and garden hose.

10) Learn all about crate training, leash walking, house breaking, as well as food training. These are kindergarten lessons that every puppy must master. Learn all you can about golden retriever puppies and their idiosyncrasies. That will give you valuable insights on how to be successful with your puppy training.

As a pet-parent you have many choices for training dogs puppies. You could choose to do your own dog training or register at a professional puppy training school. Training a dog has many stages: kindergarten, obedience training, doggy sports, showing and conformation, as well as other specialized aspects like therapy dogs, hearing dogs, and so on. What level you choose to train depends on you as well as the learning abilities of your dog. As you know, like humans, different dogs have varying degrees of talents. Choose well and both you and your pup will have lots of fun together. Memories are just waiting to be made.

Do yourself and your dog a favor, check out “Secrets To Dog Training”. I absolutely promise you’ll be pleased and it’ll probably be the most loving thing you’ll ever do for your new family member.

The day you adopt a puppy and bring a new puppy or dog into your home is a red-letter day indeed. This big dog adoption day may be an exhausting one for you but it’s even more so for your puppy.

No matter the dog breeds or whether you got your puppy from a dog rescue or dog shelters, a big dog adoption or choosing a small dog adoption, this moment is one of the most critical times in your relationship. First impressions are indelibly marked on golden retriever puppies minds. It is vital to establish from the beginning an atmosphere of security, affection, and mutual confidence. In short, the goal is to make your dog feel at home as soon as possible.

NOTE: After reading this article, please be sure to check out the “Secrets To Dog Training”.

Golden retriever puppies come to you with no suitcase or any worldly goods whatsoever, especially if they came from facilities like animal shelters. If they came from a private home they might be used to having some puppy comforts and you having them as well will certainly help them during their tough transition period. So, make sure you provide them with their first essential possessions and have them in place and ready for their grand arrival. In no time, you’ll both be thrilled in your decision to adopt a puppy. Talk about a win win for everyone……. dog adoption is it.

Here are the 10 things I think are vital.

1) A dog bed, ideally slightly larger than your dog. In a perfect world, a dog crate with cozy dog bedding inside is the best. Covered sidewalls are good too. The idea is not to imprison them, so definitely leave the door open until you’ve given them proper crate training. They’ll see their cozy confines as their bedroom and own personal space.

2) A comfy puppy blanket that will be all theirs, again slightly larger than needed.

3) A water bowl, (stainless steel or earthenware, but not glazed pottery, which contains lead that is poisonous to dogs). Ideally, get a dog bowl that doesn’t easily spill.

4) A light puppy collar with an identification tag, leather is best, flat for shorthaired breeds, round for longhaired. Have your phone number engraved on it.

5) A good dog leash with a strong clip fastener.

6) A dog comb and brush, the canine kind, (suitable for golden retriever puppies).

7) A squeaky dog toy. Puppy adoption facilities rarely have these available so your pup will be thrilled to get such a noisy and fun dog toy.

8} A chewing dog toy made of rawhide or nylon or both. (ditto on the above comment on not having these in puppy adoption facilities)

9) A hard rubber ball (Big enough so that he cannot swallow it, but light enough for him to carry around in his mouth).

10) Finally, and most important of all, a good name. Check our other posts. We have a terrific article and source that’ll give you literally thousands of puppy names possibilities. You’ll be overwhelmed with all of the names for puppies. We also have links to what we think are easily the best (and most modern) dog and puppy training materials on the market today.

Crate training golden retriever puppies is a terrific idea because puppies and dogs absolutely love crates if you know how to properly do crate training. Arguably, crate training puppies and crate potty training are among the best things you can do for a dog’s well being. Make it cozy for them and they’ll feel very safe and secure in there, it’s like their bedroom. Teaching your puppy crate training makes all the other steps in puppy training go so much smoother.

For your convenience, and if you just care to cut to the bottom line, check out “Secrets To Dog Training” and see what I believe is by far, hands down, the best dog obedience training material ever produced. 216,236 dog owners and counting are using these highly successful techniques. It covers not only crate training but every kind of dog obedience training and dog behavior issue you can think of. It also includes a totally FREE “Secrets To Dog Training 6 Day Course”.

When you leave a puppy alone, he’s prone to puppy separation anxiety. This leads him to any behavior that brings him comfort, which is chewing, digging, etc. When crate training dogs, they’ll feel safe because they’ll feel like nothing can get to them, nothing can harm him. He will sleep and chew and wait for you to return. Dogs love familiarity, predictability and routines and he’ll be more apt to be the best-behaved dog he can possibly be.

When leaving him overnight at the vet, if your dog has not had kennel crate training, he’ll experience crate training separation anxiety and have a major dose of crate training whining the entire time, as well as feeling lost and abandoned. He’ll also probably have issues with crate training barking. He’ll feel pure terror from the experience of being locked in. With proper crate training, he is sure you will return just like you always do. This also contributes to potty training successes by using these crate training housebreaking puppies methods.

Kennel crate training and crate potty training is the very basis of good puppy training. A wire crate with a lock is the best kind. Make sure it is large enough for him to stand up and turn around. But not so large that he can roam and wander around. A too-large crate will inhibit house breaking. A crate that is just the right size will be perceived as his “nest”, where puppies never “go potty”. They will learn to hold it if you don’t make a prison out of it. Never leave a puppy under 8 weeks old in his crate for longer than one hour at a time. Not only will he start his crate training whining or crate training barking, he’ll likely also soil it after struggling and suffering as long as he can.

When crate training puppies, put a nice pad in there with a bone and chew toy. Cozy comfort is vital. Start with placing a tasty treat in their dog cage, he will go in and get it. Do this several times while crate training dogs without closing the door, let him come in and out freely for an hour or so. Highly praise him each time he goes in his new bedroom as this helps make it all very pleasant.

When your crate training pup has his attention on his treat, close the door. Praise him quietly, “What a good boy, it’s ok, such a good boy!” In 10 or 20 seconds, no longer, let him out without a word, no praise, just a pat. Do this for increasingly longer intervals, but do not give him a chance to get upset. This method of crate training puppies should be practiced several times a and make sure every session ends on a happy note, this is crucial.

Once he’s had kennel crate training, he’ll see the crate is his own private territory, he will go in there on his own, expecting treats and your attention. When he does, say, “Wanna crate?” with a happy face while getting his treats. Start leaving the room while he is in there for 2 minutes and onward, gradually. When you return, don’t make a fuss, just walk over and open the crate. In 3 days he will be officially crate-trained, ready to be left alone for an hour, no longer at first. Leave him gradually longer for effective crate potty training. Do it ever so slowly and carefully and he’ll never again experience crate training separation anxiety.

NOTE: About Crate Training Golden Retriever Puppies and crate training dogs in general. Do not make a prison of his crate. Do not use it as punishment. Do not leave him there for more than 2 hours, just time for a long puppy nap and some chew time. After that he will likely start his crate training whining or crate training barking. Do not remove him while he is crying or barking. This will make him think he has to do that to get out. No matter what, while crate training puppies, make sure he is being good when you open the door. He will learn he has to be quiet to get out. Do not make a fuss when you are letting him out, just quietly open the door and take him out for his lesson in crate potty training. When he potties, praise him to high heaven! Dogs naturally do not go where they nest, but sometimes it happens. When housebreaking puppies with the crate, do not scold; just clean it out with a bland face. He will learn the lesson. If possible, try to clean it while he is outside so he returns to a clean crate.

Puppies and dogs barking, it’s who they are and their way to communicate a message. Although some dog barking is acceptable, excessive dog barking or nuisance dog barking can certainly be annoying, especially if it’s your neighbors dog barking. However, there’s some dog obedience barking secrets that could solve your problem and hopefully you won’t need to use a bark collar. I’ll cover more on bark collars down lower in the article.

For your convenience, and if you just care to cut to the bottom line, check out “Secrets To Dog Training” and see what I believe is by far, hands down, the best dog obedience training material ever produced. 216,236 dog owners and counting are using these highly successful techniques. It covers not only dogs barking problems but every kind of dog obedience training and dog behavior issue you can think of. It also includes a totally FREE “Secrets To Dog Training 6 Day Course”.

Now, as for regarding specific dog breeds barking. Some are worse then others but they’ll all do it when they feel they have something to say. Golden Retriever puppies and adult dogs bark for various reasons: dog separation anxiety barking, dog aggressive barking, to greet, to alert, out of boredom, to attract attention or when they are excited.

What their dog barking might really be trying to say is; I’m bored * I’m lonely * I’m hungry, or knows it’s time for a meal * Something is wrong/someone is near the house * I want to play * I see another animal * I need to go potty. If your dogs barking for any of these reasons, it’s not really realistic for you to try to stop it: after all, he/she’s a dog, and it’s the nature of all Golden Retriever puppies and dogs to bark at certain times and in certain situations.

The easiest way to stop a problematic barker is to control their dog barking while you are at home using dog obedience barking training or in some cases, a dog barking deterrent such as a bark collar. I suggest trying these other methods before resorting to using bark collars.

1. Set up a situation where your pup will always bark. For example, you can ask someone to ring your doorbell or knock on your door. Golden Retriever puppies and adult dogs invariably get excited and bark when someone comes to the door. Why? Because they know you always react and jump up and go to the door.

<img class="size-full wp-image-135 " title="Stop dogs barking Golden Retriever puppies blog image for dog barking bark collar post" src="http://www.goldenretrieverpuppiesinfo.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/Annies-Golden-Retriever.jpg" alt="No more dog barking for Annie's now well behaved puppy. Image provided for Golden Retriever Puppies Blog for post regarding dogs barking and bark collars.

2. When your dog charges to the door and starts to bark, calmly approach your dog, grab his collar and give the command “quiet” – don’t shout it, it doesn’t help.

3. If he stops barking praise and reward him to high heaven. He’s a genius and deserves it.

4. If he continues barking, close his mouth with your hand, wrap your fingers around his muzzle – use both hands if needed, and give the command again, “quiet”. Praise him if he stops and always use your happy face and voice. Golden Retriever puppies read your body language and tone too and know exactly when you’re happy.

Most Golden Retriever puppies and or adult dogs should be able to learn the “quiet” command with repeated training like this. Set up similar situations to “lure” your dog to bark and repeat your dog obedience barking training whenever possible. Just like anything, practice makes perfect and repetition is the best teacher.

If your dogs barking behavior is that of a hard-core persistent barking dog, try this method:

1. Vinegar-Water solution – mix a proportion of 7/8 water & 1/8 vinegar together. Pour the mixture into some sort of water pistol or plastic sprayer. For longer distance shooting, use what kids call a “super soaker”.

2. Aim and shoot at his chest (avoid face & eyes) whenever he can’t stop barking even on your command. Dogs hate the smell of vinegar and would usually back off and stop barking. He might even sneeze a few times. It’s harmless so you need not worry.

3. If the dog barking stops, immediately go over and give him the best praise you can. Golden Retriever puppies and dogs absolutely love to make you happy and your praise tells them they did exactly that.

If by chance your dog has a dog barking problem when you’re not home, you might need a piece of dog training equipment known as “bark collars” to help train him. There are several types of anti barking collars or no bark collar on the market. Some of these barking collars send an electric shock to your dog when he barks. Some make a high pitch sound or emits a squirt of citronella, which is annoying but safe for your dog. A bark collar can also help you solve a problematic barker. Personally, if the above methods fail, I recommend the high pitch sound or a citronella bark collar. They are very effective and a more humane dog training tool, nobody like electric shocks.

Do yourself and your dog a favor, check out “Secrets To Dog Training”. I absolutely promise you’ll be pleased and it’ll probably be the most loving thing you’ll ever do for your new family member.
