It was great to to interview Tom Sterner again for the 4th time - author of a valuable book It's Just A Thought!

• Tom shares some of the interesting things he has done since the last interview we did about 5 years ago.
• He talks about what motivated him to write It's Just A Thought!  Which is actually book 3 in a series.
• Tom said he often asks clients to repeat this mantra - "I am not my thoughts." Some thoughts I create but most I do not, and it is those thoughts that unknowingly create me."  He discusses valuable insights into the roles of the unonscious and conscious mind in creating thoughts.
• A quote from the book - "Judging is usually the comparison between where I am in the moment and my BEST performance."  WHY do we Judge, and HOW can we stop?
• My favorite chapter in the book is "What Is The Struggle Telling You?"  Tom shares how we misinterpret struggle, and notes that "This Is Where The Fun Starts!" 
• There are chapters in the book about HeartMath and Self-Hypnosis.  Fascinating topics!
• Anxiety is a MAJOR issue for many young people - Tom shares his views on why they suffer so  much.
• Finally, shares about what will be in his - hopefully to be published soon! - 4th book.

Welcome Back Mike Romatowski! - Creator of the Revolutionary Mach 3 Golf Speed Training System - a year-round speed training program that has helped golfers to - on average - improve their swing speeds by 11.5 mph!!

• Mike shares how he decided to get into the field of helping golfers improve their swing speeds through personal training and golf fitness.
• His training system is based largely on Three Key Principles - "Speed Out In Front," "Dynamic Oscillating Variable Resistance," and using "Fatigue Management" to get optimal results.  He talks about the importance of each of these key principles to improving swing speed.

Interview with John Novosel Jr. - John and his father discovered - roughly 20 years ago - the amazing concept of Tour Tempo - which has value for golfers who want to improve their full swing and short game performance.

• John shares some of the interesting details about how he and his father discovered how a 3 to 1 full swing tempo is what the best players in the world use.
• He discusses his Tour Tempo Total Game app, and the meaning of the Tour Tempo Long Game Tones - such as 18/6 up to 30/10.
• John talks about some of the biggest myths that golfers have about their full swing tempos - and some of his evidence that golfers can achieve significant swing improvements by creating full swings that are close to a 3 to 1 tempo.
• The Tour Tempo 2 book - published in 2012 - has a lot of focus on effective Short Game Tempos - which are more like 2 to 1.  John discusses how he made this discovery, and why Short Game Tempos are different than those for full swings.
• He shares what golfers should do to jump into learning about THEIR full swing and short game tempos - and how they can learn how to experiment and change them - with often amazing results!

Welcome back - for the 10th time! - David Orr - Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher, and creator of the Flatstick Academy in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

• David talks about what motivated him to want to share his thoughts on how to best fit junior golfers for putters - and some of the mistakes that junior golfers can make with the putters they start with.
• He discusses the absolute #1 starting elements for a good putter fitting - Length, Lie, Putter Weight.  He shares his three-part process for doing getting putter length right for a junior golfer (actually, for any golfer!).
• David talks about how junior golfers often want the putters they see the Tour Players playing - and why these might not be best for them - at least when they are learning to putt.
• He talks about how Putter Weight can vary for the type of putters - Blades or Mallets - he also talks about the industry trend to heavier and heavier putters.  
• David notes that Feeling Rotation in a putting stroke is not a bad thing - and that very often Big Putter Grips are not a great option for Junior Golfers.
• He talks about his excitement about the putter designs that he is creating with David Frisch and Goodwood Golf.
• Finally - more than once in the interview - David talks about how getting a junior golfers into well-fit putters can help then learn Coordination in their Putting Strokes.

• David shares what initially drew him to be interested in the Science of Mindfulness.  He also talks about his own love of golf and other competitive sports - and some of the ways he applies his knowledge about Mindfulness to help him compete at a high level.
• He shares his personal definition of Mindfulness, and also of Equanimity - and how these can be valuable to athletes and everyone who wants to develop more Resilience in their lives.

Dustin Johnson won the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont with a 4 under par score for 72 holes.  My take - NO ONE will break par for four rounds at the U.S. Open at Oakmont this year, and NO ONE will match or beat Johnny Miller's 63 from 1973!!
