Barefoot Resort

The Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach is a favorite facility for local golfers and visitors to Myrtle Beach. Each of the four courses have hosted PGA events. Renowned architects David Love, Greg Norman, Pete Dye and Tom Fazio designed the coastal gems, while Greg Norman developed the hybrid fairway grass.

The Davis Love: Traditional, par 72, 18 holes, lowcountry flavor. Ranked #1 among the “Top 50 Courses in Myrtle Beach” by Golf Digest.
The Greg Norman:Â Evokes a southwestern desert course feel, unique in Myrtle Beach. Plenty of trees and wetlands at each hole.

The oldest of the Big Cats, Lions Paw, has two distinct styles: wooded with elevation changes, and wide open, windy fairways. Lions Paw is considered by many to be Willard Byrd’s finest course design.

Panther’s Run was designed by Tim Cate, and features natural marsh throughout, plus lots of trees and bunkers, and bent grass fairways. It’s a favorite of local Myrtle Beach golfers.

Tim Cate also designed the Tiger’s Eye course, one of the top 3 courses in the area ranked by Golf Digest. Tiger’s Eye presents more elevation changes, marshes and waterfalls, Carolina pine and oak trees. At Tiger’s Eye you can also experience some of the best greens in Myrtle Beach!

Leopard’s Chase is the newest of the “Big Cat” golf courses at Ocean Ridge. Water hazards, island greens, bunkers and wetlands present challenge and scenery. Golfers will be challenged by short carries over water and wetlands, and plenty of strategically placed bunkers. Leopard’s Chase made Golf Digest‘s list of “Top 10 Best New Public Courses in America” in 2007-2008 and was also ranked in the “Ten Best New Courses You Can Play” by Golf Magazine.

Long Bay Club
