After a couple of hours of non stop rain, officials from the PGA of America were dispatched to the merchandise tent at Celtic Manor to buy some new rain gear. The suits, complete with the European Team logo, set them back $6552.00 for pants and jackets.

“They absorb too much water, which means they are too heavy. The American caddies have been complaining about them all week and so have the players,” said one source inside the European camp.

“[The raingear] didn’t perform the way we would have liked it to perform,” U.S. captain Corey Pavin said, “so we’ve remedied that. …We just went out and bought the raingear, just like everybody else here who just ran out and picked up some stuff.”

That’s not embarrassing..

Ian Poulter looked delighted at seeing the Americans re-emerge in different rain gear. “I can see them on right now. Ours are keeping us nice and dry, that’s all I am going to say,” he said.

Sun Mountain Sports has been designing and selling outerwear for over 20 years. They have given rain gear to over 3,000 PGA professionals and over 150 players on the tour. They currently have people working with the PGA to resolve the issue.

All in all, it’s a minor setback that was quickly resolved and the embarrassment will only last until the morning(afternoon) matches end and then the 2010 Ryder Cup USA team will be bragging about how they not only won, but they did so wearing the European Team’s logo.

Related posts:
2010 Ryder Cup Friday Morning Fourball Pairings After what seems like an eternity, the 2010 Ryder Cup...2010 Ryder Cup Teams banned from Social Media It was announced today that both captains, Corey Pavin and...USA wins the Orange County National Ryder Cup Event Last Friday, September 10th, was the much anticipated Orange County...2010 Tavistock Cup Teams Finalized 2010 TAVISTOCK CUP TEAMS FINALIZED Hot off the presses! There’s always a lot of debate on whether or not these lists are legit and there’s probably some truth to both sides of the argument, but overall, I believe the Golf Digest hotlists are valid and worth perusing.

Golf Digest suggests, before choosing a golf ball, ask yourself two questions..
How much spin around the green do I want? How much do I want to spend?
These answers and a review of the 2010 Golf Digest Golf Ball Hotlist will give you a good starting point for your search. Of course, if the compromises don’t make sense to you, or if you can’t see the benefits on the golf course, then you should play the least-expensive ball.

What’s your “gamer” ball and did it make the list?

Related posts:
TaylorMade Burner Irons – 2010 Golf Digest Hot List Last month the 2010 Golf Digest Hot List was released...TaylorMade Penta TP Golf Ball Review Back in August, I received word that TaylorMade was going...Golf Digest U.S. Open Challenge The Golf Digest U.S. Open Challenge is a contest Golf...Monthly Panel Discussion over at intothegrain.com John Duval, owner and writer of intothegrain.com, started the new...2010 PGA Merchandise Show – FIT for Golf part II Last week I highlighted a cool golf fitness product called...
Related posts brought to you by Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.

View the original article here

As a result, there is a whole group of merchants who want to sell you the latest flourishes and training to help you get that yardage extra devices. Here are the best ways to gain distance off the tee.

1. Improve your golf swing! I developed my fitness Golf Web site because I realized the necessity to discredit certain information which demonstrate there out of so-called golf fitness gurus, and even in the profession overall golf.NOT can win distance off the tee only by lifting weights or doing any "specific Golf" If you have a significantly flawed swing exercises! insurance, you can increase the speed of your swing, but that will only make the curve ball more offline!

For example, if you have golf course over-the-top classic swing that results in a segment, right must limit their ability to hit the ball more. And a new section or exercise of learning will not solve this problem!

A hook always go beyond an information on how to connect the ball by correct this defect swing main, and ensure that will immediately add yards sector.Obtenga. It is just one example, but the point is to seek ways to improve your swing golf course in the first place. If you are able to strike the ball more solidly, see an immediate increase in your driving distance!

2 Ok, suppose that you actually have a decent golf swing, but you want to add some yards. What to do now?Why join a gym in order to be able to bench 300 pounds? no, absolutely not. The best way to increase your distance outside the tee, if you have a decent swing already, is to improve your flexibility, particularly with the shoulders and the trunk. This will enable to shoulder more complete turn. A more complete reversal of shoulder will help you extend the Arch of your swing, a key component to hit long.

This is especially true with older players. As you can see our age of Heroes Golf, tend to lose flexibility and their oscillations get shorter and shorter. Arnold Palmer is a clear example of this.If you focus a little more envelope your fitness and flexibility at a younger age, which could have a longer swing that has ahora.Nosotros we can not eliminate all the problems that come with aging, but surely we can them as we can.

With that in mind, get yourself in a stretching program. You can learn key exercises you can do from home 15 to 20 minutes of stretching. Stretching should be like any other day. The ischiotibial muscles, back and shoulders are requiring more attention.

3 If it has significantly improved its flexibility, ways to increase the power of your golf swing through strength training can now be considered. Although I think that your body must be assessed in the development of a balanced program that will exercise all main parts of the body, strength training and identify the weaknesses in the first place.

First and foremost, the most important muscle group for power generation is the legs. The legs are the basis for the golf swing and if they are weak, can not help maximize its poder.Ahora, doesn't mean you need power occupied 500 pounds!I suggest that it learns some classic martial arts which aim is to increase strength while improving balance positions. These can be made in the comfort of your own home with no equipment needed.

After legs, probably the next most important muscle group is the upper back and shoulders. I have probably benefited considerably have strong shoulders as a result of my 10 years as a competitive swimmer when he was a crío.Durante years, I have continued to ensure that maintain force in these areas. UPS simple exhaust and a set of weights are all you need to work in these areas.Do you want to increase their strength and their work in some cardio at the same time, a rowing machine could be a good investment.?

Finally, work on its core strength, as well as arms.Keep this in mind, however, does not need huge weapon to add greater distance and increase its core strength won't do much bien.Sin however, these areas conditioning is primarily important to help prevent injuries.

4 Alright, you have a golf swing quite good, has increased its flexibility and improved on the strength of his body.Else is there!Well, this is where some more advanced techniques of swing golf course come into play.

It can have a picture perfect golf swing, but there is a sequence of swing which allows significantly increase the speed of your golf swing on impact. This technique is what some refer to as "the whip-cracking" or "left hand".If you see any batters high-powered on tour, all have one thing in common... is that start with the bottom of the body before it has completed its backswing.Esto recession that arms to slippage from the bottom of the body, causing this effect of whiplash that dramatically increases just impact speed swing.

Many amateur golfers are so concerned with being in the right position at the top of the backswing to wait too long for the recession that began with the lower part of the body, and lose all the stored power until the result of the oscillation of the espalda.Si spiral can obtain this time down, you will see a dramatic increase in their driving distance.

Another minor swing golf fans flaw is the lack of action of the wrist in its oscillations of golf.La majority is concerned with hitting the ball directly, therefore very hard trying to limit the action in its manos.Esto actually defeat that purpose and may result in a larger segment if that is your typical ball flight. What they really need is to let natural rotation of forearms are produced at the bottom of the swing Golf when the impact.

This example is taken into account. remember home run by Kirk Gibson to win his world series against the Dodgers game? he had no power in the legs due to bad rodillas.Sin however, was able to hit the home run just by hit their wrists and rotate their antebrazos.Wade Boggs, famous for being a batter drive line, was said to be capable of hitting balls out of the Park will during the practice of batting, since he had these big hands.

Among golfers, Chi Chi Rodriguez is an example of a player with a swing Golf wristy allowing hit you the ball very far for a guy who weighed less than 150 pounds.

Learn how to incorporate the hands and best dolls in your golf swing, and you will be able to generate more energy.

Conclusion

The conclusion is that there are a variety of ways to improve your golf swing power on the strength of golf and fitness.Sin training however, first place must improve your golf swing in order to generate more energía.Si you are able to develop a sound, the possibilities become endless golf swing.

Copyright (c) 2009 Scott Cole

Scott Cole is the owner of the Web page, http://www.powergolftraining.net. teaches golf in Pennsylvania.

The team has come to a consensus not to do it.

“It can be a little bit distracting sometimes, and I think it is important to focus on the Ryder Cup and playing in the matches. We’ve decided to not Tweet this week, but a week from today I am sure Tweeting will be all over the place.”

Concurring with his counterpart, Montgomerie said: “We are in the same boat. I think it’s important we focus on the job in hand this week.

“We are here to try regain the trophy that Corey has brought back for us. We have to focus on that job, and as Corey rightly says, on Monday October 4, yes, you will find the team probably on social network sites, but not until then.”

The decision will effect players on both sides.

Your thoughts?

I’m on the fence about it. I can see and understand the point, it’s an important week and you want as few distractions as possible for your players. But think about the exposure! This is a big opportunity for all involved to give the viewers and readers an “insider’s perspective” on what’s happening and this is the first time when it’s really a possibility.

In prior Ryder Cups, there’s always the post round interviews & such, but now there’s the opportunity to get the real thoughts and feelings from the players.

On the flipside, it’s also a great way to get the players pumped up if they can witness 1st hand the outpouring of support from the fans.

Related posts:
2010 Tavistock Cup Teams Finalized 2010 TAVISTOCK CUP TEAMS FINALIZED Hot off the presses! Don’t get me wrong; I love clothes. I really

love shoes, but could never afford, or want, golf

shoes that cost more than the national budget of some

small countries.

Granted, you want comfortable shoes that don’t look

like something your grandmother would wear, but you

can easily find less expensive and fashionable shoes.

I have several really stylish golf outfits, none of

them brand name. If I totaled the cost of all of them

up it would not come up to the price of the Tse golf

shirt. Personally, I’d rather have several stylish

outfits and one outrageously priced one.

If I were to wear a $1480 outfit to play golf, I would

simply be too worried about getting dirty or

perspiring to play a decent round.

How many times have you stepped up to the tee and tried to make a big turn to hit a long drive and the ball went nowhere? The reason this happened was you swung outside your physical capabilities. The secret to longer drives is effortless power. The only way to get effortless power is a tension-free full backswing, that unleashes into the ball coming down.

Any golfer over 40 should be focusing on stretching specific to your golf swing. If you don’t stretch, your golf muscles will get tight. Tight muscles are weak and ineffective. You will never maximize your driving distance potential with restricted muscles.

You’ve got 2 choices moving forward. Continue on the path you’re currently on, and just accept the natural decline in your game, or…start stretching and see a resurgence in your swing. One loaded with power and consistency. Once you start, you’ll wish you had been doing it years ago, but it is never too late.

Do you want a step-by-step, golf stretching program? I’ve put together a stretching for golfers DVD that is “plug-in-play”. It’s like having me in your living room taking you through a stretching program for golf. And the great thing…I’ve put it together in 7 minute segments. Yes…you get it done in 7 minutes and move on!
Popularity: 11% [?]
What do you think? 13 Comments »

View the original article here

Try not lean back into the heels, but keep the weight more than in the middle of the balls in feet.

2) Considered the imaginary golf balls, floor and place in the hands of the "athletic ready ' position on the front of the eyes to view.

3 Rotate hands upper body) than when they are in accordance with the backswing and touch are behind a firewall,. eyes and head shall be continued.

4) is intended to be able to place both hands flat on the wall trail arm elbow (the right to reserve the right to rely on golfers) aims, this is not a flying elbow down.

5) with the Right buttock remains of the wall, even if both legs of the permanent collection in the field.

Tip 1:When the weight of the animal remains and will remain centered, you can learn more from the neck rotation for each of the vertebrae. Lift up on left toe to allow further rotation. Goal is to rotate club 180 degrees. Inhale return back to start position. Repeat other side. Complete 10 repetitions each side. Focus on tall spine lifting away from hips.

Ferris Wheel (Golf Swing)
Goal: Promote muscle memory; increase blood flow and circulation to spinal rotation.
Explanation: Stand in address position with same hip tilt and spine angle. Hold onto ends of club allowing arms to fall in place in alignment with feet. Inhale prepare. Exhale rotate upper body as if in backswing trying to turn shoulders, arms, and club. Pause. Inhale repeat to start. Repeat backswing 10x. Then proceed to follow through on opposite side. Focus on controlled movements.

Quadricep Stretch
Goal: Prevent injury and promote range of motion by warming up before round.
Explanation: Stand and kick right leg back bending at the knee and grasp ankle with right hand. Gently pull foot back while pushing hip forward to feel stretch in muscle between knee and hip joints in front of leg. Hold 10-15 seconds. Repeat with left leg. Club may be used as prop for balance.

Hamstring Stretch
Goal: Lengthen spine; stretch shoulders, hamstrings, and calves.
Explanation: Use club for support. Press heel forward with a straight leg as you push your hips back. Feel the stretch on the back of the leg from the ankle to buttucks. Keep your back straight as you bend forward from your hips only, staying tall through your spine, neck and head. Hold for 10 seconds and switch legs.

Hip/Glute Stretch
Goal: Open and increase range of motion in low back, hips, and groin allowing for maximal power in swing and less risk of injury.
Explanation: Using your club for support and balance, cross right ankle over left knee pointing right knee out to side. Lower body down into squat position to activate the stretch. Keep weight in heels and push buttocks behind you keeping spine long. Hold 10 seconds and switch sides..

Shoulder Push-Pull
Goal: Open your chest for better rotation and help prevent shoulder pain from fast action during swing.
Explanation: Hold the hozzle end of a golf club behind your neck with your right hand. Align the club down the back vertically and hold the grip end near your glutes, palm facing out. Pull the grip down to stretch triceps, and push elbows out to stretch chest and front of shoulders. Then pull the hozzle up. Hold for 10-30 seconds each way then switch sides.

Trunk Flexion with Step Over
Goal: Stretch low back and gluteals while activating core & hipflexors for power in swing
Explanation: Hold the hozzle end of a golf club parallel with the ground in front of you. Pull abdominals in and round back reaching club to ground. Try to lift knee and step over club. Tap foot on ground then bring foot back over club to start position. Practice! This is an advanced movement and requires balance and core activation. Repeat each foot 3-5 times.

The above exercises were compiled by Mindi Boysen, TPI Level III certified golf fitness coach and owner of “Fit For Golf! Fit For Life!”. Her book, Synergistic Golf, contains additional exercises and outlines each day of the year with golf performance & life enhancing tips while the 3 DVD series demonstrates flexibility, strength, and stability exercises used in the golf swing. Mindi is available for private or group golf fitness training as well as seminars and nutritional consultations. Contact her at (480)203-6228 or mindi@fitforgolfusa.com or visit her site at www.fitforgolfusa.com

View the original article here

Again is you come for me? All fairness I Find the article written by a well-known Athlete's performance in Phoenix, AZ Mark Verstegen titled "Get To the core Of Your swing", but I had to search for it hard in February 2009.

Imperialeen July 2010 of Congratulations go to Don Saladino, Drive 495 Golf in Manhattan sekoittuisivat somehow how magazine. He was in fact one page. But what is funny (or, depending on how you can look at it sad) is the very next page is dedicated to the shoes article that makes Fred couples back to feel better. The title is "Has Gotta Be Shoes!" Shoes? It is all it takes? What does that tell the world? You have back pain? Whether the feeling tired and sluggish? Well, do not waste time and effort to stay focused on your health … just for new shoes! Again you come for me?The average golfer while reading the GD does not know if Freddy went his back to heal or change his swing extreme physical measures. But we know GM, where he is actually from a nice "laid-back" clothing and GD pointed out in his shoes. Fantastic! Now we know where the fitness centre prices fashion.

David Fehrety in a spirit of which I have to get in bed with in order to receive some support for golf fitness magazine these days? Ya know what … I stay true to my beliefs. Junior one at a time, Gateway Tour player at a time, nationwide player at a time.

Thank you so much Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. We get it. You try to sell magazines. We all know that golf population show that those who play in the most are the ones with the money and are baby boomers. You have shown that you have done your homework. These "more than" mountain players are hopeless and do not work. Certainly not sold fitness centre articles in magazines. or they are?Titleist is a philosophy that injured golfers is golf and, therefore, not to buy balls. So, to challenge the client (GM & GD) to think outside the box, and does not correspond to those who you think will not occur and you just want a fast repair. have the header and future golfer best role model.Dare you!

Chuck Cook-Texas, # 5 ranked Golf Digest America's Best Teacher, really thought outside the box, click the tennis Racquet golf swing (page 157) physics. He showed how the topspin forehand low to high face down and create a Draw from high to low turn creates a Fade with face. Hmmm … tennis, ping pong, racquetball, paddleball, hockey … .. all side-is somehow related sports and golf.

How Chuck to Golf Digest? Oh …. that's because he Golf Pro first with some sports and physics experience. how to take Sports/team Pro about golf experience are included in each issue? one is obviously not yet but many of us out here.

You want to place the 2 cents?

Report a problem with golf.com, e-mail editor@golf.com.

Go to https://secure.golfdigest.com/contact/contactus and they know how you feel about the mind and body fitness centre of each problem or leave your comments below to arrive at an informed judgement.

View the original article here

If winner is from the U.S., winner will be issued an IRS 1099 Tax Form for the fair market value of the prize.Golf outing with Annika Sorenstam will not exceed two and one-half (2 ½) hours in duration, regardless of whether nine (9) holes of golf have been completed.Annika Sorenstam’s participation in the Grand Prize is subject to her professional commitments and availability; in the unlikely event that Ms. Sörenstam is unavailable for any reason, entrants understand and agree that Sponsor will fully satisfy its obligation to winner by selecting an instructor from the ANNIKA Academy of its sole choosing to play golf with winner in Ms. Sorenstam’s place.
That would COMPLETELY suck if you went through the effort to create and promote a video and were selected as the grand prize winner only to have Annika Sorenstam bail to attend some prior commitment, especially since you’d STILL be stuck with the tax liability.

It’s pretty lame that they’re not footing the bill for transportation, I think it’s going to negatively impact the number of entrees into the contest.

Your thoughts?

Related posts:
Golf Digest U.S. Open Challenge The Golf Digest U.S. Open Challenge is a contest Golf...Boccieri Golf Wedge-A-Day Giveaway Boccieri Golf Announces ‘Wedge-A-Day Giveaway’ Promotion Enter Online for Chance...“Win With Phil” Free Callaway Drivers Contest How would you like to win your choice of either...2010 Masters Prize Money List 2010 Masters Prize Money List Below is the top ten...2010 Masters Tickets – Cristie Kerr’s “He’s Back” Raffle 2010 Masters Tickets – Cristie Kerr’s “He’s Back” Raffle What...
Related posts brought to you by Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.

View the original article here
