Check this out, friends: Mathias Modica – our man from MUNK – has produced and co-written the new album of German Indie Rock Superstars Die Sterne. The CD 24/7 has just been released on Materie records. Mathias had been asked to help to create a completely new and very disco-inspired sound for the band from Hamburg. A very special take on No Wave/Indie House with German lyrics. Currently there is a big press hype about this in Germany and the album has charted on #61 in Germany… Check the last video and the 3-track pre-release that we did on Gomma.

Yoyoyo…the Le Le CD and vinyl test pressings have arrived at Gomma headquarters…soooo fat. Gomma is happy! Le Le is the band of Parra (one of our favorite illustrators), Serge Fabergé and Rimer London. The three guys will release their album Le Classics on 30 April…the 5 track album samplers including the new single Number One Girl comes out a week before.

He did big big remixes for Kitsune, Banggang and In Flagranti. And he plays everywhere with his infamous one man show: From Fabric London (with Aeroplane) to Modular parties in Sydney and Vice parties in Amsterdam. Taken from the album “The Phenomenal Handclap Band” out on Gomma. Single with remixes by Blackstrobe, Daniel Haaksman, Clock Opera and Rodion will be released on March 12th. Here’s the video for the original track, directed by Stephen Agnew in New York half a year ago but not finished till now. A 3-minute blood, soul and slasher micro masterpiece.

The new artist on Gomma records: MUSTANG from Belgium. Renaud Deru & Andy Faisca. They are the new shooting stars of the Belgian Dance scene after Soulwax, Aeroplane, Glimmers. Both guys are in their mid twenties, but have been in the dance scene for ages. DJing under the name of as COSY MOZZY, being art directors of Brussels’ best club DIRTY DANCING and creating a fame for mixing up house, disco and boogie in a very special way. The Chameleon Circus EP is a beautiful boogie record. The most lovely melodies and harmonies you can imagine. Jazz House, Folk Boogie…

And the buzz is already starting: VITALIC, The EDITORS, The KDMS asked for remixes.
