We are so excited to be receiving our Hervé Gambs Flower diffusers soon.

Since 1989, Hervé Gambs has been creating room fragrances, furniture and decorative objects for himself and others using natural materials.

Passionate about architecture, travelling and nature, he is interested in everything that combines complexity with excellence.

Natural creativity fascinates him more than anything, and his designs bear the hallmarks of this nature that has been crafted and refined to its essential so as to decorate our interiors in a sophisticated, bespoke modern style.

The flowers he created have double purposes – not only are they beautiful to look at ( and low maintenance) on their own, but paired with the home fragrance the scent lingers in the room for 7-10 days. The flowers are made in Paris and the special material absorbs the fragrance and gently releases it. So they are not your regular silk flowers that may go yellow on you due to the high content of perfume in the spray.

I am lazy and hate cleaning. Especially when you have a dog, tons of dirt comes into the house. Until I came across these Chilewich mats. So like most things at Goneshopping.ca, we love it so much that we decided to carry them on the site.

Avoid imitations as Chilewich is stylish and extremely durable – you cannot really compare it with the look a likes. The special weave is anti-bacterial. Can be used outside or inside. It literally catches all the dust and dirt when you walk in. Since we used it , it reduced the dirt that enters the house. I love it as a bath mat as well, it is anti-slip, drains the water and no mold.

I have memories of my aunt visiting from Saudi Arabia and bringing back little trinkets of the evil eye. It always fascinated me. Aesthetically, the contrast of the blue and white was striking. Then when I started working I caught myself drawing an evil eye and sticking to the back of my chair when I felt like people were back stabbing me.

Suddenly in the past few years, the evil eye has become a fashion staple. From jewellery designers of Sydney Evan to Nicole Ritchie’s jewellery line Harlowe – I am seeing evil eyes everywhere, Even Instyle Magazine is featuring it.

So we commissioned jewllery designer Kimberly Lang to come up with Goneshopping’s bling bling version of the evil eye. What do you think?
