Spring is here! To celebrate, we’re trying out our first ever GIVEAWAY! What is it? A 1-hour photo session with 10 hi-res digital files included!

Our studio is going through some fun and exciting changes: new website, new fresh faces to the Gooch Too team, and more exciting changes will be announced soon! During this revamp it seemed like the perfect time to reach out and show our appreciation to all of our new and old clients by giving away something super special that can be used anytime this year!

Here’s the simple one (or two) step process to the session giveaway:

Up for grabs: A 1-hour Photo Session (either in our light filled loft studio or Skinner park in the west loop) and 10 hi-res digital files of your choosing, for up to 5 family members
To enter: Leave a comment below about what is your family’s favorite springtime tradition? Or keep it simple with a note to just say hi.

It’s “S/He Said What?” Friday! Below are a few recent-ish quotes from Evy, pictured above:

From Mom: While walking into an office building today with my kids and as we enter, Evy exclaims, “Oh, it’s just as I thought…it smells like a bowl of strawberries in here!!” Mom: ??

From Mom: While, in the hot tub this morning with Evy, she yelled: “Mommy, this feels sooo warm, like when you pee in the pool!”

A conversation after school with Mom and her two kids, Evy 7 yrs old and Isaac, 9 yrs old-

Mom: “How was the first full day of school?”
Evy: “Oh we read the Kissing Hand, and it was about a family of racoons, I had-ed my lunch at school and I played-ed on the playground, and I slid-ed on the slide, and Mommy you’re not supposed to swing your lunchbox because it might hit some body, but I didn’t eat all of my lunch…”
Isaac: “Fine.”

So happy I met this family 4 years ago! My favorite part of this shoot, was not only meeting Jude for the first time but big brother Luke running to the front door to give me a big welcoming hug! And then quickly, he proudly grabbed my hand to give me a walking tour of their newish home.

We’re trying some new things at the Gooch studio! Actually this particular idea has been brewing in my head for over a year now. And after regularly reading (stalking) my favorite funny lady online whom every so often posts hilarious conversations with her daughter, figured it was time to make this happen. Each Friday, we will feature a quote from your kiddo. Yep, we want to hear what they have to say. And let everyone know it!

Anyone can submit, clients or not, a quote is a quote. And we love what kids have to say! If you’re a client and you’re okay with a pic accompanying the post, great. If not, no worries. Email us your kid’s quote at: info@goochtoo.com

Below, the hilarious Abbott & Costello exchange between Mom and her uber smart 5 yr old (bday was yesterday!) daughter, Mildred (Mil).

Mom: “I’m going to go move the truck up real quick while I’m thinking about it.”
Mil: “While you’re thinking about what?”
Mom: “I’m going to go move the truck while I’m thinking about it.”
Mil: “While you’re thinking about what?”
Mom: “I’m going to go move the truck.”
Mil: “But what will you be thinking about?”
Mom: “Moving the truck.”
Mil: “You’re going to go move the truck OR are you just thinking about going to move the truck?”
Mom: “I’m going to go move it right now. I’ll be right back.”
Mil: “But what are you going to be thinking about?”
Mom: “Forget it.”
Mil: “Forget what?”
Mom: “Nothing.”
Mil: “Really, what should I forget?”
Mom: “I’m going to go move the truck now.”
Mil: “What?!?! I should forget THAT? How can I forget that? That doesn’t even make any sense.”

Then as I start heading out the door a minute later:

Happy Belated Birthday Miss Mildred!

Loved this session with newborn, baby Andrew! Not only was he incredibly calm and sweet to shoot, but his parents were just as calm and awesome to be around. Mom, Charlotte, seriously is a comedienne at heart and very easily could walk on stage today!
