I would suggest an MP3 Player, a nintendo DS, gift cards. You can even get a notebook for less than a laptop and they are small and cute. Check out think geek, they have a bunch of quirky stuff. Hopefully, this helps. Look for electronic gadgets sections, you will lots of other interesting stuff too.

If your budget is not too small, i would finally recommend you a notebook, that will not only a cool gadget but can also help your brother in studies.

Q. I saw this calm looking desktop the other day and I can't seem to find the Windows 7 gadget in the picture anywhere. I tried asking the guy with who uploaded the WALLPAPER about the gadgets, but he wouldn't respond to my and most of the other questions also regarding about the desktop gadget.

Looks like it could be Rainmeter. The calendar, folder launcher, weather, and music player are included in some Rainmeter skins. I'm not sure which skin he's using, but it's definitely not one of the default skins. Try asking on a Rainmeter forum.

Where can i find windows 7 gadgets?

This is the deck I was running before the new ban list. I'm no expert at deck building which is why I have no idea as to what changes to make for my deck to be legal with the new ban list for Sep 1st.

Gadget decks can be great when made 100% like they should be made. Currently, Gadget decks have been making it big at regionals once again. They went out for a while, but are now placing at regionals. Make one like this, it's a upgraded versions of the last gadget deck to place at the Costa Mesa Shonen Jump TCG Championship Series Tournament in March '08.

If you are thinking of going with a gadget deck, then make it exactly like this one......

okaies well for a long time now, i ran a gadget-machina deck and i loved it. it was fun to play and i have topped at many local tornys XD BUT i want to make a gadget beat-down deck nows xD something new, and i love gadgets anyways so wha da hell right? XD heres da list so far...

Before I begin, I'd like to introduce you to the OCG concept of Fifth Gadget.
Most duelists are running 40 Card decks, and it's easily the most consistent for normal decks.
However, there is a problem that occurs when running 9 gadgets; you're extremely liklely to run into multiple gadgets in your opening hand. 9/40 isn't great when you're trying to keep them in your deck to get them later.
in the OCG, the concept of Fifth Gadget proposes running 45 cards, so that litterally a fifth of your deck is gadgets.
This helps eliminate multiple gadget draws, and has been proven to be more consistent in the OCG.

it's an old article, but the concept behind it remains relevant, even though the proposed deck list is not.

now then
as far as helping you, i'll simply help by giving you a Fifth Gadget variant list, in other words a 45 card list. Should you choose to cut the deck down to 40 cards and disregard the concept, that's entirely up to you.

I actually made it sort of a fifth gadget machina variant, so it may not be exactly what you're looking for... but it's good with Solidarity, and is definitely designed for beating down the enemy.

I saw a picture of a guy working on a film set holding something up to his eye and looking at the sky, and it looked...well, the way I can best describe it is that it looked like a monocle. However, at least from the angle, it looked like the glass or screen was black, not clear glass. (Perhaps some of you have seen a picture similar to this. Any Merlin fans? The first place I saw it was a picture of Colin Morgan holding this gadget up to his eye.)

Anyone know what this MIGHT be? I'm so curious!

Probably a viewfinder. Posers use them to look cool, but directors use them to see what the camera would see from a given viewpoint.

Only an idiot would point it directly at the sun.

It could also be an extinction meter (long extinct in stills photography due to its unreliability) used to get some idea of the light levels.

Lotus Smart is more like Word Perfect than Office. It really all depends On what you want to do. Lotus has more programs dealing with organizing and scheduling while Office has programs meant for business. Word Perfect Is a cross between of both. I haven't seen the newer versions of each except for Office 2007 Enterprise which is really confusing because it's as if they were trying to make it easier for people to use but didn't realize that by doing so it has confused the people who knew Office well. I messed with Word Perfect suite 10 I think and that was well thought out and was easy to use. I only messed with Lotus 98. It was a really good program at the time because it kept my documents organized and reminded me about events and such. As for system resources go, Lotus was very fast to load unlike the other two probably because it doesn't have all the gadgets, but Word Perfect isn't as slow as Office.

Whats a cool office gadget?

I work in car sales, and I do love my job. I connect wonderfully with the adult world, but have started feeling bad for my customers kids. I'm hoping to get something pretty cool to entertain them a bit. I'm thinking a desktop item, like a levitating globe or something of that nature, but a bit more unique. Something that isn't real expensive, as I expect it to be touched and played with by kiddos younger than 13 looking for some sort of entertainment while their parents anxiously await our lowest price.

If you take good care of your iPhone, it shoudn't need a screen protector. If you toss it in the same pocket with the keys, though, it'll get scratched. Also gorilla glass can be scratched by sand, so be careful at the beach.

I like to keep my gadgets protected with a wallet case, that way the screen is always cushioned, but no nasty screen guards need be applied.

I'm not sure if there's a calendar module or not, but if you can add one you would have to click Add Content on your myYahoo page, then scroll through either the modules offered or the on site search box for calendar apps and see what comes up.

What is the most absurd/useless baby gadget, toy or piece of equipment that some one gave you or convinced you to buy when you were pregnant?

My father-in-law thought I should get a baby-cam. It was a video version of a baby monitor.

Some one else bought me a basinet that we used for 3 weeks tops.

Everyime I turned around someone was trying to sell me something that I could not live without. It started to make me wonder how babies ever survived when there were not baby wipe warmers:)

hahaha some of my favorites were: The baby "leash" yeah that got thrown away immediately. 2 ounce bottles (good for a week I guess) The wipe warmer as you mentioned was never used because I change my kids all over the house, the wipes travel. Thus the changing table is pretty useless other than it's nice to stack things on such as spare diapers, wipes, burp rags and bibs.
Of all of the "useless" things I recieved here's the topper: The dr. spock book. I haven't looked twice at it.

A paper was published recently that points out that when infants were carried more, they grew up to be empathetic and caring, and that parents wold do well to emulate (very) old style parenting.

We seem to live in an age when many parents want to handle their babies as little as possible. Instead of being carried from place to place, they are carried in infant seats. There are bouncers and swings, gadgets to prop bottles, and chairs in which to prop babies so they can sit with assistance but no one has to hold them. Perhaps less developed cultures had the right idea.

i have the 3in1 carseat by Eddie Bauer, I LOVE IT - it's from 4lbs to 100!! I didnt use that one though when my son was rear facing, I used the one that attaches into the stroller, you can take that out a lot easier. Im not too happy with my crib and the stroller is good but I have seen better, the carseat though is AWESOME!! Very comfortable, adjustable head, cupholder, rear faces and forward faces and turns into a booter.

Well all know the new theme sucks. It seems Gmail and Youtube both agreed to Fk up side by side. I made a new gmail account but don't have the 'revert to the old look temporarily' option in the settings icon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Gmail offers a mac gmail notifier that notifies you of gmail arrivals and lets you preview/send/receive email from a gadget on your dashboard. (Look it up on Apple downloads.) I have it and use it all the time.

However, I don't know about hotmail...I doubt it, since hotmail doesn't offer pop access.

My 13 son told me that 7 in 10 kids at his school has smartphone or some kind of i- gadget and using it to watch videos during recess. I can't believe it. I was thinking more like 2 in 10. (not talking about those very basic i-Pod and very basic phone). What do you think? He's a new 8th grader. Is a smartphone necessity for a teenager?

the idea behind the deck is to use volcanic shells and blaze accelerators to keep the opponents field clear and gadgets to keep card advantage. thats what i got... i need a lot of help

volcanic gadget deck huh? hmm i wouldnt really know what a good deck be with Fire and Earth Machines... anyways umm... i can see ur strategy... probaly be best to keep that Ancient Gear Dragon and Golem in here, there abilitys to negate ur opponents spells and traps are good to ur advantage, probaly add a Royal Decree to keep those pesky traps of ur opponents at bay... umm hmm... just keep the basic monsters and traps, Volcanic Doomfire along with that Triblaze accelerator, the Golem and Dragon, add a couple of Trojan Horses for ur Golem if u do add it, and that Pot of Avarice does help out when u've tributed those Gadgets, anyways its just my suggestin... not sayin its great... just sayin its the only good card combination that can work well... who knows u'll prolly win some tournament duels... always a surprise to ur opponent to have a plan A and a plan B

and since when do gadgets use cydra? cydra's only used in excessively weak decks, machine beatdowns, and chimaeras

so here's a nice little idea, hasnt been tested, but the forced ressurrection of ddrotk due to dark bribe, i think i got a nice idea for a seventh gadget sub-turbo (think turbo gadgets minus a set of g's and no 100 dollar cards, i also didnt forget u dont have mirror, so, bonus! and it's running tenth jinzo, so you have less to fear from bribe)
only thing i dont like is that its 43 seventh gadget rule, no room to take anything out

I have added the âCalendarâ (Get your Yahoo and Google events in one place) and pointed it to my Google Calendar. Sure enough it picks up my individual appointments, but ignores all-day events and repetitive appointment like weekly classes. Is there something wrong with the gadget or am I doing something incorrectly? If itâs something youâre thinking of fixing, consider improving the look of the applet. You guys can do a better job with the look and feel than the present lame looking calendar.

I have used Windows Gadget Sidebar and iGoogle gadgets to get things like alarm clocks and stock quote tickers and calendars and currency exchange rates etc. iGoogle has announced they are taking their gadgets away in November and Microsoft has done its best to kill Sidebar. Too much cool gadgets for free never seems to last when there are dollars to be MADE!

Anyone know where I can find sidebar gadgets or something similar today without going to Windows 8 or some other new system?

VueMinder provides a desktop calendar that can sync with Google Calendar. It's not a widget, but it's resizable and has two modes - full and mini. The desktop calendar is very nicely done. Hovering over a date or event provides a popup showing details.

There's a Lite version that's free or a paid version that provides more features. VueMinder can be downloaded here:

It's nice there are some independent software companies out there that provide stuff for free without asking for anything in return. VueMinder is the best calendar you've never heard of and it's a shame more people don't know about it.

Some people don't like running Solidarities, or running 3 Cyber Dragon (a lot of people run 2) or running 2 Machina Force (most run 1, some run 2). Play test and find out what works best. The best kitchen gadget I own is the Black&Decker Gizmo, which is a portable mixer. It's like a stand mixer but without the bowl and it's light.

The worst is the Magic Bullet. I was watching TV and then I saw the Magic Bullet and then for some weird reason I bought it. When it arrived I took a look at it and realized that it was just a smaller version of a blender. So I give it to my cousin for her birthday.
