Singapore Garden Festival 2014

At the Flower Dome.
There was a slight overcast during the morning of my visit
but being in the Dome made it all so comfortable.

The world's largest Orchid belongs to John Elliot.
The Tiger Orchid stands tall at 2m in height and weighs an estimated 300kg.
Each spray of flowers is an average of 2 meters in length. Wow!

While walking to the the tents, we saw some captivating fixtures.

Stalls line all the way to the tents.
Saw this interesting Urban farmer, ideal for indoor gardening.

Pretty and dainty stuff..

At the tents, besides the large intense gardens...

I was surprised by these interesting handcrafted art pieces using 3D printer to create.

Going green and recycling.
Like this bowl made from ginger.

and cushions filled with natural seeds.

Bringing back the primitive umbrella holder.

Recycling an old desk top..

An eventful day.
Looking at this cup of flowers, reminds me I need a cup of tea.

"Everything to lose, don't thrash it!"
A worthy quote.

"In memory of your old phones.

Old phones can be recycled into different things like trumpets,

rollercoasters or even this park bench you're sitting on.

Give the world a helping hand and recycle your old phone."

From the East Rise the Dragon! LIULIGONGFANG Singapore

2011-11-24T22:45:00.000+08:00

'From the East Rise the Dragon!'

Celebrating 12 Years of LIULIGONGFANG Singapore

Saw these magnificent dragon exhibits displayed at Paragon Linkway.

Timely ushering in the Lunar New Year 2012.

'Leading The Way, the Dragon from the East'

'Wishing to be the world's first,

To raise a brand new sun,

Make your mark on the present.

Through the obscure chaos,

Rise up in dance,

Like electric light,

In an ascending stance.

From the east,

The dragon appears.'

'The Commander'

'The weighty load - accomplishment and repute; a lengthy journey - you and me.

A gathering of the elements, who else in this world

Will command but us?'

'Forge Ahead'

'Overcome the stark ocean,

Rise above, unyielding and upright.

From great heights, look down upon the world and intrepidity

And an indisputable force.'

'Within Grasp'

'Look back upon glorious dreams, gaze down upon the waning moon.

Tomorrow is within grasp

It is mine, in the end, it will be me.'

'I Am Illuminated'

'Fearless through wind and rain; lucid through cloud and mist;

My heart is illuminated, in movement and in stillness, majestic.

I lead with glory.

'Overwhelming and Unstoppable'

'Who is it to say; the glory days have gone?

Do you not see, in the infinite expanse of sky, the infinite surge,

How can one ignore that inherent pride?

Towering like a giant, I dominate the vicissitudes.'
