Go to Google or any other search engine search for competitors of your business category.
Using different resources try to gain more and more product knowledge, customer knowledge and market knowledge about your business category.

Methods to Measure the brand equity:

Self-Reports (overall brand evaluation also known as attitude toward the brand)
Experience (It is called blind testing in which two groups are involved first group might test the non branded product and second will be testing branded product)
Conjoint Analysis (techniques to measure the value of each product attributes such as technical attribute, warranty, price level the brand etc.)

Methods to measure the Brand Value: Two main valuation approaches are used to measure brand value.

Cost approach (Brand equity is amount of money that would be required to reduce or replace the brand like R&D, test marketing, advertising etc.)

Measuring Brand Awareness, Brand Image, Brand Equity and Brand Value

Purpose of Article:

Brand Knowledge
"Refers to brand awareness (whether, when consumer know the brand) and brand image (what are association that consumer have with the brand)".
To measure the brand knowledge author used the "The Brand Knowledge Pyramid" adopted from "Keller 2001". This pyramid shows that we can measure the brand knowledge by rational and emotional brand evaluation / functional and emotional brand association.
Brand Awareness: It can be measured through brand recall (refers to the ability of consumers to retrieve the brand from memory when given the product category) and brand recognition (refers to the ability of consumers to confirm prior exposure to the brand).
Brand image: It is defined as consumer perceptions of a brand reflected by the brand associations held in consumer's memory. To measure one can use two methods, first to adapt existing list of brand association (Aaker's Brand Personality list), second one can start from scratch by measuring brand association in term of positive or negative association.
Techniques to measure the brand knowledge:

Projective Techniques (unstructured forms of questionnaire ask respondents to describe beliefs, attitude or feeling regarding brand )
Laddering Method (It is used to show higher order benefits and values offered by brand)
Zaltman Metaphor Elicitation Techniques: ZMET (This is qualitative approach used to measure brand knowledge such as personal interview)

6^th September 1965 has got high position and value in the history of Pakistan. At that day Pakistan was attacked by the Indian and this is the day when each and every Pakistani realizes his strength in right manner. At that time Poets, artists and singers are all working side by side with the Pak Army. Before this war singers and writers or artists are busy in romantic types of stories or poetry but they stop doing all this stuff and start writing for Pak Army and start singing for these people who are participating in this war. Poets are busy in writing for them, singers are busy in singing and increasing their morals to sacrifices everything for their homeland. This what we cannot find in all over the world even Indians are more in number but they are very few in passion. At that day whole nation stand up against the Indian Army and prove that even we are less in number, we have less resource but we can defend our homeland by sacrificing or blood for Pakistan. And that’s why this day has brightened place in the history of Pakistan.

At that time Radio Pakistan is also working very well to increase the moral of their Army. All writers, poets, singers and artist spend the whole night at Radio station of Lahore and serving for Pak Army. At that time an old man AY CHUSHTI MARHOOM write very famous song and which is sung by famous singer MEHDI HASSAN in such a way that when we listen this Milli Nagma even today increase the moral of us even after 44 years. Our Holy Prophet (PBUH) is last Messenger of Allah Almighty and King of all Prophets (AS), Our Holy book Quran is last book send by Allah to His beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Allah Almighty gives special rank to our Holy Prophet (PBUH) in all Prophets and give special ranks to Quran in all books send by Allah to His Prophets. Similarly, Allah blessed the month of Ramadan with His blessing and this is full of blessing of Allah Almighty and there is way for Muslims to get more and more rewards from Allah Almighty in this special month. The month of Ramadan is King of all months.

Holy Prophet (PBUH) and His Followers feel very happy whenever they found this month is coming. This article will discuss some instance from the life of Holy Prophet (PBUH) how they spend this holy month in His life. The Holy Prophet found 9 months of Ramadan in His whole life after Prophet Hood (according to a report published in Nwai-waqt newspaper on 21 August 2009). There are lots of book in which this is discussed how Holy Prophet (PBUH) spend this month some of very popular instances are discussed below….

In Ramadan 2 Hijri: The Holy Prophet (PBUH) and His followers started worshiping Allah Almighty with pleasure in the city of Madena. In this month Quresh-e-Makka are preparing for war against the Muslims of Madena. Holy Prophet (PBUGH) is also preparing to fight against them even Muslims few in number but they are confident that Their Allah will not let them alone at this difficult time and trust on Their Allah. In the second week of Ramadan this war took place in the Badar when Holy Prophet (PBUH) coming with Followers in the way Allah Almighty sends the news of victory through Jibrael (AS). Muslims of Makka win this fight against the Quresh-e-Makka even they are very few in number actually 313 people fight in this Ghazwa (War against non-Muslims in which Holy Prophet (PBUH) participate Himself) this incident took place on 17^th of Ramada and after this grand victory Muslims spend whole month with peace and pleasure.

In Ramadan 3 Hijri: Holy Prophet (PBUH) spends this month of Ramadan in Madena city with His Followers. Now Quresh-e-Makka are again preparing for war against the Muslims to take the revenge of Ghazwa-e-Badar. Holy Prophet (PBUH) also started preparing for new war and selected defensive strategy this time. Eid-ul-Fitter (Celebrated on 1^st of Shawal) comes meanwhile when Muslims are discussing how to fight against the Quresh and making strategies. On 6^th of Shwal (Name of Islamic Month Came after Ramadan) Quresh came in Madena valley with 300,000 of army Holy Prophet (PBUH) spend this whole night with the Followers out of city to inform the Quresh that we are ready for fight. On 7^th of Shawal the second war occur between the Muslims of Madena and Quresh-e-Makka this is known as Ghazwa-e-Ohadd. This is very difficult day for Muslims because Quresh-e-Makka are very angry and they came to take the revenge of Ghazwa-e-Badar. 70 Followers are martyred including Hazrat Ameer Hamza (RA), Hazrat Musaab Bin Umair (RA) or Hazrat Hanzala (RA) this ware is also important because in this war Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Teeth are martyred. In the same month Hazrat Fatima (RA) youngest daughter of Holy Prophet (PBUH) got married Hazrat Ali (RA).

In Ramadan 4 Hijri: on 4^th of Shubaan another Ghazwa occurred known as Ghazwa-e-Bader Doom Holy Prophet (PBUH) Participate in this war Ramadan came after this incident and Holy Prophet (PBUH) spend this month in Madena city.

In Ramadan 5 Hijri: According to the writer of “Alrahek-ul-Makhtoom” Ghazwa-e-Ahzaab occurred on 5^th of Shubaan. Quresh-e-Makka are preparing to attack on Madena from 3 months and this time all other tribes from the whole Arab’s are helping Quresh in this fight. Holy Prophet (PBUH) ordered his followers to prepare a ditch in order to save Madena from Quresh’s army the length of this ditch is nearly 9 kilometer. This year month of Shubaan and Ramadan passed in preparing for ditch. Nearly 28 days Quresh blockade the Madena but returned back without victory.

In Ramadan 6 Hijri: In this year Holy Prophet (PBUH) go for another battle which is known as Ghazwa-e-Bani Almustalq. When coming back from this Ghazwa another incident occur which is famous as “Waqai Qazaf” with Hazrat Aysha (RA). Holy Prophet (PBUH) spend 40 days in worst situation and this time Ramdan passed in these days.

In Ramadan 7 Hijri: Very important and famous agreement was signed between Quresh-e-Makka and Muslims of Madena known as “Sulha-Hudabiya”. Last year Muslims were not allowed to enter in Makka so they did not offer their “Umraah” so they did their Umraah in this year. This is the first Ramadan month which is passed in peace after the Hijrat (Migration) in Madena.

In Ramadan 8 Hijri: The famous agreement Sulha-Hudabiya was broken by the Quresh-e-Makka which give an opportunity for Muslims to take over the Quresh. This is very famous year in the History of Islam because in the same year Muslims get charge of Makka after defeating the Quresh-e-Makka on 20^th of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak. Holy Prophet (PBUH) enter in the city of Makka as victorious and forgive all Qureshi and don’t take revenge from anyone.

In Ramadan 9 Hijri: This year month of Ramadan passed in a journey of Tabook. Holy Prophet (PBUH) announced for this war against the Qesre-e-Room. Nearly 30,000 of army from Muslims go to Tabook but Qesre-e-Room did not came for fight and whole army came bake safely without any loss.

In Ramadan 10 Hijri: This is going to be the last month of our Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) life but nobody no that. Holy Prophet spend this whole month in Madena and because of wars Holy Prophet (PBUH) don’t sit in Aytkaaf (in the month of Ramadan Muslims spend usually last 10 days of this month in mosque to worship the Allah Almighty). So, Holy Prophet (PBUH) spends this whole month in Aytkaaf.

Internet has been improved the largest database of all kinds of information. There is very interesting question about the internet, what type of information is not available on the internet? This is such question that nobody can say anything about that because its truth we can find all types of information via internet with just one click. The most interesting thing is that how this type of database has been developed that it covers all aspects of life and it is providing all types of information. Sometimes thinking about these entire questions I thought that it might be possible for that purpose hundreds of people or thousands of people have worked for hundreds of year to build such a largest database. Or it is also possible that all these people may work whole day or night and how long it took to store such biggest information.
But its just imagination of me there is no such concept in actual life of internet. This is such a wonder in which every one can participate to store information, ideas, views or anything else what he/she want to store very easily. Thousands of people are connected with internet and sharing their ideas or experience on internet through their personal web pages or blogs. Many websites are available offering free web pages or blogs now a day especially Google or Yahoo are the most popular in this game. The question is that why these companies are offering this precious facility for free. Actually they are taking lots of advantages by offering free blogs or web pages. The person who starts working on a blog or web page start sharing his experience or opinions which will be added in the databank of that company the next time when someone is looking for this sort of information it will be provided through search engine. This is how search engine collects the information by paying noting for something.
But in fact Google is facilitating its user or blogger (Person who make blog) a certain amount if he/she work for their Google adsense program. Which is basically a contract between Google and User to work for Google and display the ads on his/her blog than user will be given certain amount of money according to their participation. This is count on the basis of Per Click, actually when user display ads on his/her blog or the visitor of this page click on ad this is count 1 click and user will get the incentive on each click. It generates money for both Google and user as well. The companies who are displaying their ads on these blogs get their target audience so it is also important from their point of view and these companies are directly paying to Google in order to display their ads. It all happens because of Blogging there are thousands of user who are using www.blogger.com and earning handsome money just working at home and this such a good way of earning money that you even don’t pay a single coin on that but you can earn a lot from it.

63rd Independence Day of Pakistan

Today whole Pakistan is celebrating its 63^rd year of independence. Although Pakistan has made tremendous progress in all fields of life including education, technology, health and sciences but there are still lots of hurdles in the way of progress. The enemies are still there disturbing on the border line and now they are stronger and equipped with latest war instruments. The intensity of this problem goes to mountain when America starts war against terrorism in Afghanistan. All bad effects are enough to put the Pakistan again in pressure. Even Pakistan is working side by side to remove terrorism but the activities of terrorist are increasing day by day. Now a days Pakistan has become the war place our own army fighting our own people. The perfect example of this situation is the LaL Masjid instance when Pakistani forces are destroying this holy mosque. The thing that make all people worried is that why Pakistani forces are so forced that they took this action in own country? Is there no solution remains instead of taking this harsh action? Where is our wisdom or politics? Is there no man remains who can negotiate this issue where are our scholars? These entire questions must have to be answered? And now another problem that is war against Taliban.

Pakistani government has proved that many of them are even not Pakistani. There is Indian who are working behind these people and they want to destroy this country. The truth is that India still not accepted the Pakistan as in depended country. Just one instance of Bombay Attacks made the Indian command so angry and their media start firing against Pakistan. But who is responsible for this war where hundreds of Indian secret agents are working to destroy our homeland. The conference held in Egypt where Pakistan has provided prove of Indian peoples involvement in this war took little bit pressure on the Indian command. But they are not still serious Pakistani government should have to pressurize the Indian to stop. Lets prayer for our homeland from the Almighty Allah who blessed us this country as reward of sacrifice’s made by the Muslim of subcontinent under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

O Allah please forgives us and keeps our homeland safe and sound for whole nation till the Day of Judgment. There are living many Muslims who want to worship You and obeyed the rules made by Your Prophet Muhammad {PBUH}. Interview is very important:
In selection process of any organization interview is considered one of the most important and reliable tool for better decision making about the candidate. Interview helps both employer and employee to discuss openly all the issues and matter which can not be properly focused in written test or other tests. I am going to write down my personal learning from Recruitment and selection course which I studied in my MBA why interview is so much popular and important to make best hiring decision. I hope it will help you a lot….
 There are many benefits of interview and having lots of impacts on selection decision.
Interview helps employer to identify gaps between years of education or experience. These types of things can not be easily asses in employee application form which is the very starting stage of selection process. So, when employer or candidates are sitting before each other employer can ask about the gaps or employee can explain the reasons.
 Through interview we can measure or judge the level of motivation an individual have to work in our organization. So, far in application form or written test it is not possible to see how he behave actually. Interview also gives a clear picture of communication and presentation skills of employee. Interview also shows that how individual will work in stress.
 Interview can also identify the values and abilities of candidates which are matching for our job requirement. At this stage interviewer decide to select or reject an employee for the new post.
So these are few important benefits of interview.

when you are studying in MBA you have to select one or two subjects for your specialization HRM or Marketing are one of the most selected subjects by the students. In HRM the most important topic is Recruitment and Selection I had already written about the Recruitment now I am writing something about the selection.

“Selection is process of hiring new staff for an organization it is also very important decision to say ‘Hire’ or ‘No Hire’ by making this decision we have to select the most appropriate or potential candidate for the job.”

An employer can use many tools to make good decision regarding the selection most important of them are listed below
