WEFUNK On Heavy Rotation

Sadly (or whatever), the actual rotation of discs and vinyl has not been heavy for me as of late.
Instead, music wise, I've ONLY been listening to the radio stream of WEFUNK. As they put it,
" ... hip hop's roots and future along with the rich legacy of funk, soul and jazz."

I suggest that you give it a spin.

Otherwise, my list of heavily rotated items looks like this: Coffee, toilet paper, an Acapulco Gold camp hat, The Weather Channel, a fine-point Sharpie, and this desk chair that's under my fat ass.

TransIowa is a long ride on gravel roads. And I like long rides on gravel roads, but this one is 325miles continuous. You know it's going to difficult, and with miles upon miles, it isn't going to get easier. But with perfect weather, it is a good problem to have. All day, and them some, on the bike.

Coffee-related good problems

Sunday morning, coffee grinder gave off more of a slow, sad, half-hearted buzz than a strong burr grind. Not a good problem.

The offending grinder. Nearly 8 years old.

Monday, housemate offered up her little grinder for use. It's not a burr grinder, so it's not providing the fine grind needed for my little espresso machine. But hey, it's grinding the beans.

Lucky for me, housemate is off of coffee right now, so this little R2D2 is in my kitchen for the time being.

Tuesday, instead of the espresso machine, I dug out the moka pot. Grew up with the stovetop style, learning to make coffee for my parents on special days. I'd say it's a good problem I had to rediscover it.

Mmmmmm.
