It only takes a short time and the super-hot headlines will jump out and grab your attention. Never copy them of course, but do draw inspiration from them.
2. Make your headline short. Five to seven words works very well. You can be more expansive in the sub-headline, once you have your visitors’ attention.
3. Use a question as your headline. The point of your headline is to get people to stop long enough to consider your site. Asking a question is a great way to do this, if you ask the right question.

HOT TIP: The right question is always one that can be answered by your product.

4. Use an exclamation point or question mark in your headline. It is important to convey excitement in the headline. But don’t use the silly long exclamation marks like !!!!!!!!!! That generally looks unprofessional.
5. Be clear. Tell the reader exactly how your product will help them. “Here is how I can solve your problem” is the sentiment you want them to feel.
6. Use a “number of steps” formula. If your product will solve a problem in a certain number of steps, say so. People love simple solutions to their problems.
7. Use a “number of ways” formula. Use this instead of a number of steps. If your product offers alternative solutions to a problem then say so right up front.
8. Use an “in under” formula. When time or money is involved, using an “in under” or “for less than” approach works well. One example is “How to succeed online for under $100!” If you can deliver on your promise then make the strongest statement possible.
9. Talk to your specific audience. If your product works better for women than men say so up front. A headline that starts “For women who want …” will attract the women visitors quickly and let them know you understand them.
10. Make them qualify. This is a more advanced headline technique but it works well if you are brave enough to try it. You are basically saying that you are not sure they are qualified to buy this product and they need to see if they do indeed qualify for the wonderful offer you are sharing. Many big-name marketers use this approach, especially when selling higher-end products or courses. Why? It works!

Have an annoying friend or family member in one of your Circles who is always sharing every last detail of their day? Now you can click "mute" from notifications or their profile, and you won't be notified every time they post.

On the other hand, you may have certain Circles whose content you never want to miss. Now you can move that Circle's slider all the way to the right, and you'll get notified via email whenever they share something new.

Finally, the update lets you notify certain Circles via email when you have an important post to share.

"For these select circles, we often have news we really want to share - like getting engaged, or landing a job," Austin Chang from the Google+ team, wrote in a Wednesday post. "In these cases you can now check 'Also send email' when sharing, to help make sure your friends see your message."

Not everyone is so keen on this new feature, however. Some users have expressed concern that it could lead to spamming.

"If I want to see a post, I will see it in my stream," user John Judy wrote in a comment. "I have my email kept private on here because I don't want to get emails from anybody using the service."

The Web giant is rolling out these new features over the rest of the week.

The changes build upon the slider controls Google launched last year to "pump up (or down) the volume" on the frequency with which you see certain peoples' updates. Using the slider tool atop the stream for a particular Circle, you can opt to see more or less from that group.

Tweak your email notification options. By default, Google Plus will spam your Gmail account with notifications for practically anything involving your new account. You can go to the Google Account options to uncheck all of the ones you don't want to get, thereby reducing your Gmail traffic considerably.

Google Plus profile sharing settings.Change your profile's field-sharing settings. Disable resharing in Google Plus.Disable resharing. First make sure the Profile tab is selected by clicking it.

Click the “Edit Profile” button.

Tag Someone In A Post

In a comment box, type + or @ followed by the person's name. A box should appear containing the matching name (if the person exists). Note: Typing the name too fast may make the box disappear causing the mention attempt to fail. In the event this happens, backspace all the way back up to and including the + or @, and try to repeat the attempt again.

Once the name becomes a tab, you're done! Posting the comment will send a notification to the person that they were mentioned. The notification is sent regardless if a person mutes a thread.
If you want to prevent mentions from triggering, turn off the reshare option (but do not mention the person in the opening post since turning off reshare does not protect against mentions in the opening post).

Export Your Facebook Birthdays to Google

Go to your Facebook profile and click the “Events” tab on the left-hand side
On the “Events” page, at the top right-hand corner, click the blue drop-down menu (featuring a magnifying glass)
From the drop-down menu, select “Birthdays” and you will be taken to the “Birthdays” page
Click the drop-down menu from this page and select “Export Birthdays…”, a pop-up will offer up a URL for you to take and throw-around as you see fit

Now you have all the birthdays of your friends, family, co-workers, and acquaintances. As I said before, Google Calendar is a good place to put Birthdays.. so let’s do that!

Go to your Google Calendar
On the “Other Calendars” tab beneath “My Calendars”, you can add the Birthdays via the drop-down menu which features an option to “Add by URL”

Rename

Click on the photos homepage in Google+.
Select Your albums on the left.
Click the album you’d like to rename.
Click on the album name to change, then press Enter.

Edit share settings

Here’s how to change the share settings of all your albums in one place:

Click on the photos homepage in Google+.
Select Your albums on the left.
Click Change how your albums are shared to open the share settings editor.
Make your edits to the following settings: Album visibility Lock album Hide location info
Click Save for changes to each album.
Click Done.

You can also see who has access to each of your albums and edit album visibility on an individual album, here’s how:

Click on the photos homepage in Google+.
Select Your albums on the left.
Click on an album.
Below the album title, you’ll see the album’s visibility after “Visibile to:”. Click on the visibility to see and edit the list people who can see your album.
When you’re done, click Save.

If you change an album’s visibility to share with a more limited group, such as public to limited, all posts and comments related to that album will be deleted.

Select Your albums on the left.

Be careful, if you delete an album here, the album and its photos will be permanently deleted from all Google products, including Picasa Web Albums, Blogger, and others. Deleted albums cannot be recovered.

Since you can view your friends’ email addresses, phone numbers, websites and any other information they share will you, to export the information is just an easier process than to write down them one by one, and what is more, it allows Yahoo to export your friends with their email addresses in deed.
Well, whether Facebook likes or not, there are two ways for you to export your Facebook friends to Gmail.
1. Yahoo Mail

Just log in your Yahoo Mail, import Facebook friends, export them as a CSV file, and then import the CSV file to your Gmail account.
With this method, you can only export the names and email addresses of your Facebook Friends.
And if you don’t want to export any other contacts except your Facebook friends, you can create a new Yahoo account, or export and remove the exist contacts first.
2. Facebook Friend Exporter

Facebook Friend Exporter is a Chrome browser extension, with which you can export names, email addresses, phone numbers and websites of your Facebook friends.
After installation, you will see an “Export friends!” button on your Facebook’s toolbar on the top, clicking the button, then you can follow the instruction and export your Facebook friends to Gmail directly, or you can download the CSV file and import it to your Gmail manually.

Manage your albums

You can manage your albums on the Google+ Photos homepage.

Rename

Click on the photos homepage in Google+.
Select Your albums on the left.
Click the album you'd like to rename.
Click on the album name to change, then press Enter.

Edit share settings

Here's how to change the share settings of all your albums in one place:

Click on the photos homepage in Google+.
Select Your albums on the left.
Click Change how your albums are shared to open the share settings editor.
Make your edits to the following settings:
Click Save for changes to each album.
Click Done.

You can also see who has access to each of your albums and edit album visibility on an individual album, here's how:

Click on the photos homepage in Google+.
Select Your albums on the left.
Click on an album.
Below the album title, you'll see the album's visibility after "Visibile to:". Click on the visibility to see and edit the list people who can see your album.
