Google said “Facebook is the Most Popular Website in the World”

Google announced “Facebook is the most popular website in the world”, after releasing its top 1,000 sites in the world. In fact Google didn’t included its own page into the ranking.

LATimes.com report : According to Google, which ranked the sites based on unique visitors, Facebook welcomed 540 million unique visitors to its site in April, helping it reach a whopping 35% of all Web users. The company served 570 billion page views during the month, easily besting every other site on the Web.

Google, which didn't include its own page views in the study, said Yahoo was the second-most-visited site in April. It captured 490 million unique visitors and served over 70 billion page views. In third place, Microsoft's Live.com domain welcomed 370 million unique visitors and served 39 billion page views.

Google Buzz is now having a ReShare button

Earlier many people had requested Google for a feature like “retweet of twitter” over Google Buzz but now the time came when you will find a ReShare button below your buzz.

Save PDF Files is now more easy on Google Docs

Earlier when you wanted to save an important document in your Google Docs account from another hosted Google Docs. You used to download it from there and again upload it to your own account, but now these became an old process… Go ahead with the new one!

Now, just a “single” click can add that document to your own..

Google Docs, recently added a new button “Save in Google Docs” on their Document Preview, which instantly add the “document” to your account. Is that helpful one? Ya, i loved this feature a lot!!

From now, when you will receive any documents on your in Gmail and you want to save it in Google Docs. Just click “View” link and then “Save in Google Docs”.

The newly added feature of blogger, which made its users happy. For years, every blogger users were seeking for an about me page but it was not possible at that time but recently blogger users got the option to create pages on their blog.
The pages are limited upto 10 in each blog and i think that it is sufficient.

"France Looks to Tax Google (GOOG)... currently these advertising giants are only taxed within their home countries, something President Nicolas Sarkozy of France wishes to change.

If the French government starts to tax companies like Google, they plan to use the money to assist creative industries that have taken a hit due to the digital revolution."

Some secrets came up after the teardown reveals about the components used inside the Phone of Google.

Examples: the touchscreen is made by Samsung who is also a supplier for Microsoft Zune HD. The Bluetooth and wireless chip found in the Nexus One is from Broadcom and it’s the same chip that is used by Apple for iPod touch. Labnol

Its a latest announcement by the Google India that they are bringing a clinic for the website. So, if you are chosen by the Search Team then your blog will be given advice by the Google Search experts as Doctors advices their patients.

What is Clinic?
It is actually a program, where you will be Advise by the Google Search team to increase your visibility over the the search result page and to gain more popularity and traffic. They will also offer constructive information, which will help you in creating a quality content.

All you need to do just send request for your site with this form- here. But before submission, you need to accept some guidelines.

Your websites must be registered to the Google Webmaster Tool and is verified- this will ensure that the submitter is the owner of the site and they have the owner's permission to use the site for the clinic. And If you are not registered to the webmaster tool then you can register now.
Your website should meet the Google's quality guidelines.

They will not be selecting all submitted website as they said in their blog post:

Its sounds strange that whether tracking an Flying Airplanes live is possible? but its now possible on Google Maps. The Casper has add the brilliant maps tracking system to see the Airplane flying in and out of the Amsterdam Airport. It is now only configured in the Amsterdam Airport but can be "configured for any airport."

The Airplanes are colored to get identified with the name of Airlines to which it belongs but also changes its colors to show the direction and its altitude change.

You can have the real time track like checking the speed and height by just putting the mouse pointer on the Airplane icon. Again, if you want to check the previous day's flight movement then click the "Replay" button and the Previous day's flight movements of Schipol Airport will be in front of your screen.

The service requires a Flash based browser.

This Tracking of Flights is really interesting but can be dangerous in many ways.

I don't think that i had ever saw Google's Logo Animated but today, there is such a unique animated Doodle by Google where an apple fall is shown. This Apple fall is to show respect to the foremost scientific intellects of all time "Isaac newton". The Technology all around is a gift of him and we still follow his theories.

According to the Net Applications’ web browser usage data for December, Google Chrome is ranked as the third most Popular. Within a time of 16 month, it reached to millions of users by acquiring their needs.

Google captured the next position after the Explorer and jumped the Apple Safari. Chrome is having a 4.63% market share while Safari have 4.46% by keeping it to the 4rth Position. The release of the Chrome Beta has captured the users of both Mac and Linux.

An interesting about Chrome is that, Net Applications’ data are receiving from the 40,000 sites it monitors for clients and this added to 160 million unique visitors monthly.

Google Updated its Toolbar Page Rank in this New Year Eve. Just two days past, the Google Page Rank is Updated with a smile to the Webmasters or Bloggers. Many sites got a higher page ranks and celebrated the New Year in joy! but there are too some sites which lost their page ranks and some got reduced.

Take a Look on the Predictions of Google by the Google Sysytem Blog. The Predictions is very informative and will give you some ideas of what Google will be doing in this year! I added the Top twelves Predictions from that post.

1. Google Chrome's bookmark sync will be extended to sync the documents stored in Google Docs.

2. Google will launch a service that indexes and ranks web applications.

3. Google will use different interfaces for displaying search results, depending on your query.

4. Google's search engine will group related results.

5. Google Image Search will let you upload an image and will show related images from the web.

6. Google Street View's images will become searchable and Google will start to show information about different places in Street View.

You might have saw our previous post about the mysterious "I'm feeling lucky" hit countdown. Now when you hit the button, you will not be able to see any countdown, but will surely surprise you!! Visual Crackers and lightening fireworks all around the Google's Home Page, it seems that the silent Google logo itself is enjoying the New Year with its whole heart!

Its not finish, you can see the Google's New Year Doodle. Awesome!! There's a Creative showing of 2010 in the Doodle which i will explain you.

See the London Tower, where the time is showing 12 o'clock- Entered to 2010 a New Year. In the right-hand side of the tower, you can see the digit "2", now think the clock as "0" and the tower as "1".

We have formed "201", now we need another zero to make it 2010- So, take a look on the right-hand side moon. Lets think it another zero and add it with the three digits we got earlier. Now we got 2010! a New Year.
Why a moon is shown in the New Year Celebration Logo?
Because there was lunar eclipse and the moon seemed as Blue in the New Year Eve. Therefore, the moon was too an attraction in the New Year Eve.

Groovle is such name which sounds like Google, claimed by Google. But this is the second time, Google lost a domain. Earlier, when it claimed on the Domain name Froogles in 2004, it lost...

Actually, Groovle is a website that allows its users to upload photos, & create a customized online portal.But how such site can be related to Google? According to Arbitrators, Groovle wasn't simple enough to confuse people, and people probably thought of the word "groovy" or "groove" more than Google when they saw Groovle.

"Google never had anything to fear from our website," said founder Jacob Fuller in a statement and The arbitrators' decision that "the two domain names are sufficiently different should put Google at ease and we look forward to a renewed positive relationship with Google."

GoogleWave is now handy, Searching is easy just with some specific term... You can have more advanced and specific searches over the GoogleWave, all you need to do is adding of some search terms on the search box, which is at top of your account.

Below are the search terms that you can use to conduct more specific searches. Here "name" is referred to the User-name.

creator:name - Help you to find all the waves created by name.
participant:name - Help you to finds all waves where user name is a direct participant (name may be a user or a group).
contributor:name - see all the waves where user name edited at least one message.
to:name - help you to search all waves where name is a participant, but not the creator.
onlyto:name - search all waves where name is the only participant, beside the creator.
onlyby:name - Finds all waves where name is the only contributor.
onlywith:name - Finds all waves where name is the only participant (name is either your own, or a group you belong to)
dfrom:name - Finds all waves with a direct message from name or waves with only two participants, where nameis a contributor.
dto:name - Finds all direct messages to name, or waves with only two participants, where the other participant is also a contributor.
from:name - Finds all waves in which name created at least one message within a wave.
to:name - Finds all waves in which name is a participant but not the owner.

An Ancient meteor impact crater was found with Google Earth!

Can you discover any undiscovered things or place by just sitting in front of the computer? Probably not... But there is a man who did it! and it is absolutely true story..

A PhD student, Duane Hamacher from Australia’s Macquarie University has found an ancient meteor impact crater in a remote location of the Northern Territory. He made it successful with Google Earth.

"We found shocked quartz, which is only produced by a substantial impact and its presence in the rock samples and the morphology of the structure are the major indicators that Palm Valley is a crater,” Mr Hamacher said.

UniverseToday - "Mr Hamacher reported to the Sydney Morning Herald and other Australian newspapers that the Arrernte people’s legend about a star that fell into a waterhole called Puka in the valley where Kulaia, the serpent, lived – has led to the discovery of the ancient crater, which the research team he is part of propose to name Puka.

Guided by details of the story, Mr Hamacher searched an area about 130 km southwest of Alice Springs, in the Finke National Park on Google Earth. He found what appeared to be a bowl-shaped depression. His suspicions were confirmed when he visited the site with a team of geophysicists and astrophysicists, who found evidence that a popular tourist location in the national park called Palm Valley contains the remains of an ancient impact crater."

If you are really wanting to see its Hi-Tech features then you need to wait till the 5th day of the next year 2010. Ya, i mean to say the 5th January, this new phone of Google will be in your hand after that date.

It will be the first mobile handset, which is designed entirely by Google. The phone will run on the Google’s Android operating system and the hardware is designed in collaboration with HTC.

Wired- "recent online leaks suggest the Nexus One will be a GSM-device with a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, accelerometer and compass. It is expected to run the latest version of the Android operating system, Android 2.1."

The Nexus One will be offering an unsubsidized price of $529.99, or at $179.99 with a two-year agreement on T-Mobile. -Gizmodo claimed.

A new Google Professional Search launched, it is a service that may help you to search for the certified Google Advertising Professionals agencies by placing locations and budgets over the text box before searching. It is quite similar to the normal Google search results but Professional Search results can be narrowed down by checking off Additional Agency Services after your search.

Access to the Google Professional Search Page over : Adwords.google.com/professionals/search .. I must say you first that the service is currently in Beta stage and it’s available in the US only.
