We view Islam from the outside. We see Islamic-inspired hatred expressed in the mutilation and slaughter of innocents and react accordingly. But Muslim fanatics are even more likely to kill their own people than infidels. They do this to spread fear, fear of leaving Islam for another belief. The Prophet warns his followers:

Qur'an (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them"

(Islamic Law) 8.1 - "When a person who has reached puberty and is sane voluntarily apostatizes from Islam, he deserves to be killed."

Bukhari (84:57) - [In the words of] "Allah's Apostle, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'"

Bukhari (89:271) - A man who embraces Islam, then reverts to Judaism is to be killed according to "the verdict of Allah and his apostle."

But in Africa and even in Asia it is not working. Stay with the following videos; it takes a little while for the first one to get to the meat of the matter but, in Africa, Mohammad is losing followers like Obama is losing voters - to the tune of 6 million a year, perhaps more. It is estimated that perhaps 30 million muslims a year are convertingto Christianity. And they are being baptized in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The imams are worried.

Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Our former pastor is now the head of an international Christian outreach program. He tells us that their efforts in Africa, especially North Africa, are very successful, but they keep it low key for obvious reasons. There is a movement of the Holy Spirit within Muslim nations and Islam is reacting violently against it. Witness what is happening in Nigeria where a minority Muslim population in the north is attacking the majority Christian population in the south.

In Belgium.

Several hundred Belgian firefighters have broken through police lines in Brussels and hosed down the prime minister's office in protest at the government's tougher retirement plans.

The firefighters want to keep their early retirement age at 58, arguing their arduous job does not allow them to work into their 60s.

Such demands run counter to government plans to have the overwhelming majority of people work two years beyond 65 so it can afford an ever-increasing pension bill as Belgium's population ages.

The deputy prime minister, Didier Reynders, said caving in to the firefighters' demands would "send the wrong signal" to everyone. Belgium has 17,000 firefighters.

A grinning Belgian firefighter hands out apples to police after they sprayed them with fire retardant foam. One of the cops is already holding a green apple just handed to him. All I can imagine is that the firemen warned the cops what they were planning to do in their protest before hand and used very low pressure in the hoses; the cops said, "Sure, go ahead." The change in retirement probably also affects police, so as a show of support the cops didn't beat the crap out of them.

But as high as that spending and dependence on the federal government was then, it has exploded today, with one in five Americans — more than 67.3 million — depending on Washington for assistance.

The Heritage Foundation’s 2012 Index of Dependence on Government shows an alarming trend under the Obama Administration of a level of dependence on our government that has never been seen before. Today, a full 70 percent of the federal government’s budget goes to pay for housing, food, income, student aid, or other assistance, with recipients ranging from college students to retirees to welfare beneficiaries.

Because the taxpayers are getting stuck with the bill.

Earlier this month, the city of Chicago wrote a check for $399,950 to the Second Amendment Foundation, a gun rights group located in Bellevue, Wash. The check was a reimbursement for legal fees the foundation incurred in the McDonald v. Chicago case, which resulted in the United States Supreme Court overturning the city’s ban on handguns.

“The city lost that action,” said Julianne Versnel, the foundation’s director of operations. “Because it was a constitutional civil rights case, the city was required to pay the cost.”

This was a law suit initiated against the Daley administration. In any case, this gives more fuel for 2nd Amendment fires.

I am not a football analyst. I enjoyed the Superbowl yesterday and the wonderful time we had with friends. I found the game to be exciting, frustrating and it kept me on the edge of my seat for a good part of the fourth quarter. The Giants won and all is right with the world ... at least for 24 hours.

But the media side show did not end with the game. There is still a pound of flesh that can be lashed out of this drama. I am talking about the unfortunate remarks made by the wife of the Pat's quarterback.

But instead of the media attention given to Gisele and her remarks after the game, if you want a class act from the Patriots, look no farther than Tiquan Underwood, the wide receiver who was cut from the Pat's roster the day before the game. But instead of carping about how unfair life is, Mr. Underwood tweeted this instead:

Two female Italian porn stars are running for the Office of Mayor in Taranto, Italy.

Amandha Fox and Luana Borgia are both vying to become the civic leader in Taranto, Italy.

And they are going for a political bust-up of a different kind.

The two candidates' backers are organising a pole-dancing night next month where local voters can see what the big election issues are.

Agent Mimmo Pavese said: "We want to be fair so we would like to invite any other candidate to come along and dance too."

Taranto is the capital of the Province of Taranto and is an important commercial port as well as the main Italian naval base.

If the Italian Navy squids can vote in local elections, one of these gals is definitely in.

It is the third-largest continental city of Southern Italy: according to 2010 estimates, it has a population of about 190,000.

Taranto is an important commercial and military port. It has well-developed steel and iron foundries, oil refineries, chemical works, some shipyards for building warships, and food-processing factories.

If this was a little village or something on that order we'd probably never hear about it. But this is a good size city. I guess they needed some free advertising for their respective "dance" clubs.

Taranto was originally founded as a Spartan colony in 706 BC. It is a beautiful place only sixty miles from where my wife's grandparents were born.

Taranto is also the origin of the common name of the Tarantula spider family, Theraphosidae, even though strictly speaking there are no members of Theraphosidae in the area. In ancient times, residents of the town of Taranto, upon being bitten by the large local Wolf Spider, Lycosa tarentula, would promptly do a long vigorous dance like a Jig. This was done in order to sweat the venom out of their pores, even though the spider's venom was not fatal to humans. The frenetic dance became known as the Tarantella.

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has a lot on his mind these days, from cutting the defense budget to managing the drawdown of U.S. forces in Afghanistan. But his biggest worry is the growing possibility that Israel will attack Iran over the next few months.

Panetta believes there is a strong likelihood that Israel will strike Iran in April, May or June — before Iran enters what Israelis described as a “zone of immunity” to commence building a nuclear bomb. Very soon, the Israelis fear, the Iranians will have stored enough enriched uranium in deep underground facilities to make a weapon — and only the United States could then stop them militarily.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu doesn’t want to leave the fate of Israel dependent on American action, which would be triggered by intelligence that Iran is building a bomb, which it hasn’t done yet.

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak may have signaled the prospect of an Israeli attack soon when he asked last month to postpone a planned U.S.-Israel military exercise that would culminate in a live-fire phase in May. Barak apologized that Israel couldn’t devote the resources to the annual exercise this spring.

Waiting for this administration to watch your six is like waiting for Mooshelle to pick up the check.

Riots after a football match in Egypt's Port Said have left 73 people dead and at least 1000 injured, in what a deputy minister called the biggest disaster in the nation's football history.

Violence at football matches across north Africa has increased significantly since political unrest began sweeping the region more than a year ago, and one player described Wednesday's riot as "a war, not football".

Angry politicians and sports officials decried a lack of security at the match between Port Said team Al-Masry and Al-Ahly, one of Egypt's most successful clubs, and blamed the nation's leaders for allowing - or even causing - the tragedy.

Wednesday's trouble flared at the end of a match when Al-Masry beat Al-Ahly 3-1.

All hell broke lose when Al-Ahly fans displayed banners insulting Port Said. Most of the injuries and deaths occurred when fans fell from the stands or were trampled.

Reports are chaotic but there may now be as many as one hundred dead with perhaps over a thousand injured. The rioting spread out from the stadium and into Port Said; sections of the stadium were in flames.

The Prophet's soccer fans reacting to perceived insult in their typical fashion, nothing to see here folks...

"We have heard they are preventing ambulances [from entering]", a Sky News reporter in Cairo said, noting Egyptian football fans were "known for their fanaticism".

"[But] why this has happened no one can explain or understand."

Gallup state numbers predict huge Obama loss

Gallup released their annual state-by-state presidential approval numbers yesterday, and the results should have 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue very worried. If President Obama carries only those states where he had a net positive approval rating in 2011 (e.g. Michigan where he is up 48 percent to 44 percent), Obama would lose the 2012 election to the Republican nominee 323 electoral votes to 215.

More Moderate Muslim Terrorism

A "moderate" Muslim woman who was described by her neighbors as a "nice and caring" person has been arrested for her participation in a plot to behead three witnesses who put another terrorist in jail for 45 years.

Raleigh, N.C. — Dozens of people from the Triangle's Islamic community plan a show of support in Wilmington on Friday when two people have a federal court hearing on charges that they tried to hire someone to kill witnesses in a terrorism trial.

Federal authorities arrested Shkumbin Sherifi and Nevine Aly Elshiekh over the weekend and charged them with conspiracy to commit murder.

Sherifi's brother, Hysen Sherifi, was sentenced two weeks ago to 45 years in prison on terrorism charges. He was among seven area men arrested in 2009 after authorities said they plotted attacks on targets overseas, stockpiled weapons and conducted paramilitary training.

Hysen Sherifi met with his brother and Elshiekh several times in recent weeks at the New Hanover County jail, where he is incarcerated, and arranged to have three witnesses who testified during his trial last fall killed, according to a federal court document.

He demanded that the witnesses be beheaded and that pictures be taken of their corpses to prove they had been killed, the court document states. He also wanted a fellow inmate who he thought had tricked him out of some money to be killed.

Authorities said Shkumbin Sherifi and Elshiekh gave someone $5,000 to kill one person.

Things get even more interesting. At IOTW, an anonymous source contacted the blog owner and gave some more back ground on this allegedly moderate Muslim women who thinks nothing of lopping off the heads of people who help put terrorists behind bars.

Here’s the interesting part… I KNOW THIS WOMAN! She used to work at the charter school that my wife and her libtard friends started for “special needs” kids.

She was married to an Egyptian man who couldn’t get into the US. The whole time I knew her she was involved in this campaign to get him a visa and get him into the US! I don’t know whatever happened with that. But I knew at the time something was off. I kept telling my wife and friends that something was not right about that story, that there had to be a reason he could not get in the US. He wasn’t even allowed a visit, that I know of. But this woman, Nadine, I always called her, was as “moderate” as any other Liberal in America. She wore regular clothes. She went out with the girls. She taught handicap kids, psychologically screwed up kids with gay parents, and troubled ghetto kids who had been kicked out of every other Durham Public School and were expeditiously labeled “disabled”.

Anyway, if there was ever an example of a “moderate” Muslim or “American” Muslim, that would exemplify how “normal” and peaceful they can be, she was it.

I gather that to a Muslim being "moderate" is just another way of practicing taqiyya, the Islamic tradition of lies and deceit. From Islam Watch:

The word "Taqiyya" literally means: "Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one's beliefs, intentions, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions or strategies. In practical terms it is manifested as dissimulation, lying, deceiving, vexing and confounding with the intention of deflecting attention, foiling or pre-emptive blocking. It is currently employed in fending off and neutralising any criticism of Islam or Muslims.

Or beheading the occasional hapless witness.

Tell me again, just why do we let these people into the country?

The State of Georgia is examining claims that President Obama is not eligible to occupy the office to which he has been elected. The National Patriot covers the action:

Promptly at 9am EST, all attorneys involved in the Obama Georgia eligibility case were called to the Judge’s chambers. This was indeed a very interesting beginning to this long awaited and important case.

The case revolved around the Natural Born clause of the Constitution and whether or not Obama qualifies under it to serve. More to the point, if found ineligible, Obama’s name would not appear on the 2012 ballot in Georgia.

Although served with a subpeona, Obama and his attorney never showed up.

Court records of Obama’s mother and father entered into evidence.

Official certificate of nomination of Obama entered into evidence.

RNC certificate of nomination entered into evidence.

DNC language does NOT include language stating Obama is Qualified while the RNC document DOES. This shows a direct difference trying to establish that the DNC MAY possibly have known that Obama was not qualified.

There was evidence submitted to the Court indicating that Obama's 1977 social security number is fraudulent and was actually issued to a person born in 1890. In addition, the system implemented by the US government and used by employers to verify social security numbers indicates that Obama's SSN is fradulent.
And there's a lot more, but of course it is not receiving much attention from the MSM.

Many of the "reporters" arrested at OWS sites apparently failed to understand the difference between reporting and demonstrating which lead to this. The political fracturing of our society continues in full force with amateurs joining the ranks of the advocacy journalists.

Also, just because you claim to be a reporter or journalist doesn't mean you really are - in the eyes of the police. Unless you got skin in the game it may be wise to steer clear of a furball in the streets.

(Reuters) - Six Americans working for publicly funded U.S. organizations promoting democracy in Egypt have been barred from leaving the country, provoking angry demands in Washington that Cairo's new military rulers stop "endangering American lives".

Among those hit by travel bans - one of those targeted called it "de facto detention" - is a son of U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, as well as other foreign staffers of the International Republican Institute and National Democratic Institute, officials at the two organizations said on Thursday.

Holding American citizens against their will is not good international form. But with a weak President sitting in the White House you can throw good form out the window as well as international law and anything else you don't care for. The Iranians learned this in 1979 when they received the Wrath of Jimmy Carter. In like fashion President Oboobooo will lower the tray on his high chair and slam his sippy cup.

The United States said Egypt should reverse them: "We are urging the government of Egypt to lift these restrictions immediately and allow these folks to come home as soon as possible," State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said.

A month after police raided the Cairo offices of the IRI, NDI and eight other non-governmental organizations, it raises the stakes for Washington, which had already indicated it may review the $1.3 billion it gives the Egyptian military each year if the probe into alleged breaches of local regulations went on.

But don't you worry none. Obooboo has everything under control.

I have failed to make my point clear and for this I apologize to my readers.

There are all kinds of idiots on all sides of the political spectrum that, when they leave our shores, they do stupid things and get their asses in a jam in other countries.

My position is this:

1) I find it neither agreeable nor noble that US government assistance and support is provided only to those Americans whose political or social or religious views agree with any particular persuasion.

2) As a rising river raises all boats, a falling river does the same thing, only in reverse. A President that is internationally recognized to be both weak and ineffective endangers the safety of ALL Americans, both home and abroad.

My daughter was a student at the American University in Cairo in 2007-08 studying Arabic. She is now an Army Sgt. stationed at Fort Bragg; she is a Arab linguist and her MOS is signals intel. Suppose as a student she had done something similar to the kids above to piss off the Egyptians and ended up in the same mess?

Think about it, I have - a lot, she's kinda mouthy.

They're Watching You

The recent Supreme Court decision limiting GPS tracking without a search warrant is almost meaningless. With iPhones and Droids and other smart phones, the government does not need to slap a GPS device on your vehicle to figure out where you have been, where you are, where you're going and how long it took you to get there. All it takes is a subpeona to your cell phone service provider.

From the Scientific American:

Mobile phone service providers log the list of cell sites to which our cell phones connect throughout the day. Mobile apps, more than half a billion of which were downloaded in the U.S. during the last week of December alone, gather data on the usage patterns of our wireless devices. In addition, mobile apps often track device location to the accuracy of a specific residence or office building, undermining the oft-cited claim that the data gathered is not "personal." Much of this data is collected and then sold with our consent, in accordance with privacy policies that few of us read before accepting, to a complex ecosystem of mobile application providers and advertisers. License plate cameras record our automobile trips. When we walk into a store, restaurant, office building, or sit in a taxi, images of us are recorded and date-stamped.

I still remember the first 1 GB (gigabyte) drive I ever bought; it cost $197 at the computer show. Storage for digital files is now so cheap that there is almost no end to the information that can be stored and it will only get cheaper as the technology advances.

In the past it would have been impractical to archive all of this information. Not anymore. Retail hard drive costs are over one million times cheaper today than in the mid-1980's, and currently stand at roughly 5 cents per gigabyte. About $50 worth of storage can hold the information identifying the location of each of one million people to 4.5-meter accuracy at five-minute intervals, 24 hours a day for a full year. Data from video surveillance cameras is more voluminous, but storage cost trends are making it easier to archive that information as well.

In short, the government can track you and hang on to that information as long as it wants.

In Meriden recently, police say officers received a text from an unknown sender, offering black market sale of Percoset tablets, the prescription combination of oxycodone and acetaminophen. He notified the drug unit, continued communication with the texter, and set up a “buy.”

Police say the two people who showed up to sell the drugs grew suspicious, separated and tried to run, but police were able to take both into custody and seized 100 Percoset tablets.

Escorted by US, Royal Navy and French warships, the USS Abraham Lincoln sailed through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday. Iran's threats to the contrary, there were no incidents.

Britain, America and France delivered a pointed signal to Iran, sending six warships led by a 100,000 ton aircraft carrier through the highly sensitive waters of the Strait of Hormuz.

This deployment defied explicit Iranian threats to close the waterway. It coincided with an escalation in the West's confrontation with Iran over the country's nuclear ambitions.

European Union foreign ministers are today expected to announce an embargo on Iranian oil exports, amounting to the most significant package of sanctions yet agreed. They are also likely to impose a partial freeze on assets held by the Iranian Central Bank in the EU.

This is not he first time Abe has been used to send a message.

Tehran has threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz in retaliation. Tankers carrying 17 million barrels of oil pass through this waterway every day, accounting for 35 per cent of the world's seaborne crude shipments. At its narrowest point, located between Iran and Oman, the Strait is only 21 miles wide.

Last month, Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, commander of the Iranian navy, claimed that closing the Strait would be "easy," adding: "As Iranians say, it will be easier than drinking a glass of water."

But USS Abraham Lincoln, a nuclear-powered carrier capable of embarking 90 aircraft, passed through this channel and entered the Gulf without incident yesterday. HMS Argyll, a Type 23 frigate from the Royal Navy, was one of the escort vessels making up the carrier battle-group. A guided missile cruiser and two destroyers from the US Navy completed the flotilla, along with one warship from the French navy.

I don't think the lesson of messin' with the US has been lost in that area of the world. We may be down to 250 or so ships, but the capabilities of a nuclear powered aircraft carrier are nothing to snear at.

[...]Another carrier, USS Carl Vinson, has been in the Gulf and the surrounding region for several months. Abraham Lincoln's arrival means a return to the two-carrier deployment that America has retained in the area for many years.

Each of these Nimitz class vessels carries a complement of fighter aircraft with more striking power than the entire Iranian air force. Their presence widens the options open to Western governments should Tehran attempt to retaliate for tighter sanctions by harassing international shipping lanes.

One would expect a certain amount of rational decision-making even from the likes of Iran's leadership. Particularly when you stand to have a lot of your country's nice things all busted up if either skipper gets the notion to do so.

The American Thinker has a Billy Kristol article on Newt Gingrich's reaction to the first question of last week's Presidential debate in South Carolina.

To that end the media has distorted the public's view in every way possible. My first experience of this was the treatment afforded Adlai Stevenson and Dwight Eisenhower, If you are old enough to remember -- or well read enough to have learned -- the American press pictured Adlai Stevenson as a brilliant man and Dwight Eisenhower, the head of the European Theater of Command, an historic and monumental achievement, as a bumbling idiot. It was only well after the election that we learned that Stevenson had flunked out of his first year at Harvard Law School and the school's Dean had locked those records of that fact away. This press generated dichotomy -- of Democrats smart, Republicans stupid -- continues to this day.

[...]Nevertheless the opening question by John King at the CNN sponsored Republican debate was an attempted "gotcha" on this interview.

This time, Newt fired back to repeated standing ovations by the audience and the admiration of those of us who have grown both tired and infuriated by the obvious media bias.

Newt has demonstrated that he will not be intimidated by the media and he will not accept their typical tar-and-feather treatment of anyone but an accepted liberal candidate. Newt showed that his set are made of brass.

And as for the cheap media whore, CNN's John King, wipe that nasty crap drooling out of your mouth and go get your $20 from the DNC.
