Washington, D.C. – Congressman Rick Berg announced the passage of the Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2012 in the House. This legislation increases the amount paid to veterans for disability compensation and to their survivors for dependency and indemnity compensation by the same cost-of-living adjustment payable to Social Security recipients.

“While we can never fully measure the debt of gratitude owed to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces, we can at least make sure that these soldiers and their families have the peace of mind of financial stability,” stated Berg. “These soldiers have made profound sacrifices for our country, and we must make sure that they and their families are never left worrying about how they will make ends meet in the face of misfortune.”

Each year, Congress reviews disability compensation for disabled veterans, which includes indemnity compensation for surviving spouses and dependent children. The amount of compensation is contingent on the severity of the veteran’s disability and how it affects his or her earning capacity. This legislation will adjust the cost-of-living adjustment for disabled veterans to match the annual adjustment for Social Security.

The Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2012 unanimously passed in the House. It will now be sent to the Senate for consideration.

Here you go dirt track racing fans - the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series made it's annual pilgrimage to North Dakota. Last night I was giving live up dates for the Fantasy Dirt Racing fans. I have also added some pictures and video from day two of the Duel in the Dakotas that was held on June 15, 2012 at the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND.

I want to warn you right away that I am not a professional photographer or video-photographer, what I lack in talent I make up in effort. Wait, What?

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car series had not been back to Red River Valley Speedway since the summer of 2009, since that time the track has been shorted to a 3/8 mile for a 1/2 mile track. Red River Valley Speedway is still one of the faster tracks on the World of Outlaws sprint car series.
Here is some videos from on of the warm up sessions - one of the heat races and the "A" main features as well - as you can see the track was very racy and fast. Starts are very critical and if you fall asleep you can find your self behind the 8 ball very quick and then it can become follow the leader.

When I go to the races at Red River Speedway I like next to the flag stand so I can see the start finish line better. You do tend to eat a bit of dirt and you can feel the horse power of the WoO Sprint Cars.

Here is the restart to the heat race that was listed above. I apologize that I am not a professional photographer and I used my old digital camera to shoot the video - but you can get a pretty good idea how the cars fly around the RRVS.

Here President Obama in March of 2011 talking about how we are a nation of laws and that the rule of law must be followed.

Fast forward to June 15th, 2012 Obama is circumventing the constitution, the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate to basically give hundreds of thousand of work permits which could end up being a defacto Dream Act that was defeated in the house and senate, to people that are in this country illegally. The Daily Caller reporter Neil Munro that made the comments is right what about the people that are citizen of this country that are unemployed?

I don't think anyone is upset about the immigrants that served in our nations military - that is another issue - if immigrants have served in the U.S. Military they should be able to gain citizenship.
