I had considered using a hard-drive to backup my data, but even those fail. There are better ways to ensure you don’t Lose Your Digital Life!

Online Backup services are a great way to not only backup your data, but offer a way to access your data if you happen to be on the road. My PC Backup dot com offers unlimited backup storage. That is something that us Gopro users love to hear. Don’t be like me and put off setting up a backup plan.

If you are creating amazingly awesome videos, then it should be pretty easy to at least make some extra cash on Youtube. Last month I made over $111.  Sure, I’m not making a living (yet) on my video uploads, but that will pay a few bills!  But let’s face it, not every video will get attention. Nobody wants to watch you ride your motorcycle around a track for 10 minutes solid, with no breaks or edits (unless it’s a tour video and you explain that).

The videos that make me the most money for me are the interesting videos that offer something of value.  For example, I have a video account where I posted a video on how to make a wood stove.  This video creates a high pay per click value on the ads that run on the video.

Here are the basic steps to get started making money on Youtube!

1. Open a Youtube account. It is free, but keep in mind it will take some time for you to develop a following and get views. Remember, video interesting things. Sometimes newsworthy things will also help bump views. I had over 2600 views in less than 24 hours after posting video footage from Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy.

2. Start a Google Adsense Account. Once you get the account opened, tie it together with your Youtube account.

It really is that simple! Now get that Gopro or other camera out and start making some extra cash!

GoPro HD HERO2: Outdoor Edition Closeout

The new version of the popular “point of view” camera will feature three versions. The base model is called the “black edition” and is the premiere camera from GoPro. The newest and coolest features include the 1440p resolution 48fps frame rate (great for 24 frame timelines), and 1080p 60fps frame rate option at 1080p. Another improvement that grabs our attention is the 120fps setting now at 720p. This is an improvement from the lower resolution of the Hero 2 which shot in the WVGA format.  Photos will look great now that the GoPro Black Edition features 12mp shots.

The Black Edition also includes built in Wi-Fi and comes with a Wi-Fi remote, so you can start your camera once mounted in a “not so easy to get to” location (such as under a car or on an airplane wing). GoPro says that the new camera also has professional low light performance. One of the downfalls of the Hero 2 was the low light performance. We are all anxious to check out this improvement.

Now that the new Hero 3 is coming out, retailers have slashed the prices on the Hero2 cameras. Check out what Amazon is doing with prices.
GoPro HD HERO2: Motorsports Edition

All editions of the new cameras feature Wi-Fi, although the only one that comes with the remote is the Black Edition.

There are two other editions that GoPro is releasing along side of the Hero 3 Black Edition.  They are the Silver Edition and White Edition cameras.

The most notable difference with the GoPro Hero 3 Silver Edition versus the Black Edition is that the Silver will not shoot at the 1440p 48 frames/second or 1080p at 60 frames a second.  It also has a 10 fps photo burst versus a 30 fps burst that the Black Edition boasts.

At this time, there is no changes or mention of the new GoPro Hero 3 camera on the GoPro website.  That will all change at 12:01 PST.

There also are no specs yet available on this new camera nor when it will ship out once ordered.  I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see!
