We are a church that preaches the uncompromising Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, that brings about salvation of souls, healing of the sick, deliverance of the oppressed and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. 
We are a church that equips Christians with the word of God in order to renew their minds so that they may “do that which is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God” Romans 12:2 and live lives that are a living testimony of what Jesus Christ can do in a person’s life even in today’s society, enjoying therefore prosperous, fulfilled and complete lives that can bless others.

2 Corinthians 4:4 -6
The Church of Jesus Christ has been called to shine the light of the Gospel.  Not long ago i heard a statement and I believe it to be true, it is the following “The Church for far to long has been known for what it stands against, But the time has come for the Church to be known for what it stands for”. After meditating on that for a moment and observing much that goes on among believers and many churches i realized it to be not only a true statement but Biblical. From the very beginning in the book of Genesis God came against darkness and disorder by proclaiming light, when light came things began to come into order.  Over 2 thousand years ago humanity was destined to be forever separated from God because of not recovering from the fall, yet God sent His only begotten son Jesus to shine as the light of the world to give humanity an answer as to how to get out of the utter darkness it was in.
The light was turned on through the man Christ Jesus, John 3:19, John 8:12. We have been called to turn the light on. This world is surrounded with darkness, evil and sin, yet we are not to preach darkness, evil and even sin, that is not our primary business, we are called to turn on the light, give people hope and a way out of what they are in and struggling with. There is no use telling someone with sin, stop sinning, you are an evil person etc, it is much better to tell them that Jesus came so that they would not have to be bound by sin and then teach them through the word how to do it. This is turning the light on. So much of today’s Gospel message whether from the pulpit or one on one, is similar to some one walking into a building and the lights are of, and that same person yelling “It is dark in this place”, and magnifying the Darkness even more, when all they need to do is to turn the light switch on and the darkness will go.  Beloved you and i who have participated and enjoyed the light of Jesus and His word have been given a  great ministry , which is to go about where there is darkness and simply turn the light on. How? Speak about the Good news of Jesus and His word, and then we know that He is powerful enough to change peoples lives, just as He did yours and mine. This week Turn the light on for somebody. I gave the church an 11 point plan of what I believed the Lord would have us to do as a church, in the short term and long term. The first point or vision that was to be fulfilled, which would be in the short term, was for us as a church to have our own house of worship from where we could base the church and ministry. Then after we had achieved that first vision we would be able to launch out the ministries and other visions that God has called this church and ministry to do. On that special night, I challenged the Church to believe that we could be in our own place soon, and that God would lead us and provide and even use us to generously give towards that vision. There was excitement in the air and people grabbed the vision, and we started to work towards that goal.
So here we are less than one year later, standing in our own place, a place we can call ours, to worship our God freely, and to function as the church that He has called us to be. A Church with vision, that believes that our God is a big God, and therefore we His children can believe to do big things for the glory of Jesus Christ.
Now that we are in our own place, I believe the work is just beginning, everything up until now has been preparation, and foundational for what God is preparing for us. I encourage you to connect with this church, take ownership and get involved in whatever capacity. Everyone has been gifted by God to do something for His glory and of significance. I believe Gospel of Power Church is here with a divine calling and purpose to touch this city, nation and the world with the Gospel of Jesus.
These are exciting times for our Church, we have been told by our God to launch out into the deep and let down our nets for a big catch. In this building, may souls be saved, bodies healed, the oppressed set free, the word be preached and taught under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and may we see the supernatural, signs and wonders. Let it be in Jesus name. Amen

Deuteronomy 28:1-14
A few weeks back while meditating on the word of God a thought come into my spirit and it was the following: "For too long the Church has focused on the curse and we have neglected to focus on the Blessing". As i thought about that for a moment, and thought about so much that goes on in Christianity, i realized how true that thought was. God has been made out to be a God that is angry and out to get people. Our God has been made out to be the one that is responsible for poverty, sickness, suffering, disasters, in many cases He has been preached as a God that just cannot wait to punish people when they mess up.
People that have a view of God like this will live out that reality in their lives and then justify the way they live by saying it is Gods will for my life. The truth is my beloved brother and sister that our God is a God of Blessing, and that has always been His purpose for humanity. In Genesis Chapter 1 in the Garden of Eden we see God blessing Adam and Eve, and never do we see the curse mentioned. The curse was a result of sin, and entered the world because of sin and not because of a desire of our God. For the believer, the only thing that God wants to do with us is Bless us and prosper us in every area of our life. But if we are cursed focused and always watching over our back like any moment now God is going to hurt, punish or curse me then that is what you will think, confess and eventually manifest in your life, and it will not be as a result of Gods doing but a result of opening the door to the evil one. Its just like in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve allowed the serpent in and they began to focus and listen to the serpent more than to God and they fell to its demand and received the consequences of there neglet to take care of what God had given to them. Be blessing focused, thank God for The blessing over your life and family, read and study the Bible as a blessing book, approach God as a blessing father, and you will live blessed. Amen.

Today we are celebrating Gospel of Power Church 2nd  Anniversary. It seems just like yesterday when on March 7th 2010 on a beautiful Sunday morning we were setting up chairs at the “Finnish Club” on Newnham Rd, not knowing if anyone would attend. To our surprise people did attend that very first service and ever since then, God has blessed the church and we can say “Ebenezer” God has helped us until this very day.

Its exciting to be Pastoring a Church that is increasing  by the week not only numerically but also in our spiritual growth and in the moving and operating of the Holy Spirit. It is the moving of the Spirit that makes church what it should be, a place of salvation, healing, deliverance,  baptism with the Holy Spirit and a place of revelation knowledge. And we thank God, because over the last two years that has been evident in our Church.

We can confidently say as the Apostle  Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:6 “God gave the increase” the word increase in the Greek is “Auxano” and means To Grow, To enlarge, To expand etc. This is a truth we must never forget, yes God uses our gifts and talents and the anointing on our lives but ultimately He is the one that brings the increase to the Church and the ministry. He is the life giver, the healer and the one that gives the blessing. We decree and declare that God will continue to give this Church the increase, considering also that we are just starting our journey as a Church, and there is much  territory to conquer for the glory of Jesus Christ.

We want to thank all the people that help and serve in this Church in one way or another, you are much appreciated. We understand that on our own the work load would be much larger and less would be achieved. But with a corporate body of people that have decided not only to attend this church but to be part of the Church in serving, we have been able to achieve so much more.

May we continue strong, united and working towards the common goal which is to proclaim the one true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Gospel of Power Church has a big vision and it is going to take big cooperation to get the job done, but we never  forget that at the end of the day “God gives the Increase”.

He deserves all the Glory, the honour and the praise. So on this special day for our Church, lets thank Him for what he has done up until now, knowing that this is just the  beginning and God has great things prepared for us as a Church. We love you and appreciate you!!!!!!

1 Corinthians 2:9-16

When Jesus came to this world He was a carrier of Revelation from heaven, and whenever He released these truths Revolution followed.
The word revelation means to hear a divine truth that was not known previously, it means to have secrets revealed and also for that which is hidden to be discovered. We therefore have Gods eternal written word that is divine revelation from God and then we have progressive Revelation Knowledge which is God by the Holy Spirit teaching us truths in the now that are hidden in His word that are revealed to us for a specific season, time or situation. You can also call this Rhema.
The word Revolution means the following: An overthrow or   repudiation and thorough replacement of established systems or mindsets, It is to have Radical and persuasive change. It is a transition from one system to another system.
In the four Gospels we see every person who came in contact with Jesus having a revolution, we see the disciples and the Apostles having their own personal revolution and then causing revolution wherever they went. The Book of acts is full of people that received Revelation and as a results brought about        revolution.
If you and i are going to be all that God desires us to be we are going to have to make ourselves available to receive Revelation Knowledge, that is, ask God what fresh word does He have for me today and for the season that i am in. When God speaks Revelation whether by his word, his Holy Spirit or through a man of God, then we must allow that Revelation to cause a Revolution. That is to be willing to let go of established systems and mindsets that limit us from the higher level that God desires to take us. I once heard a preacher say, and he is right “When God is ready to take you to another level or into another season of your life, He will give you a word (Revelation). And many times that Revelation and word is something we ourselves have not taken notice of or maybe we have never heard and will   almost always challenge our established mindset. Jesus told the Pharisees in Mark 7:13 “You make the word of God (Revelation) of no effect through your tradition”. They would not allow Revolution to take place, for they were more interested in holding on to their traditions. Thus they missed out on a new and fresh way that God had for them.
If we are willing to be obedient to the word, it will revolutionise our lives and take us to a higher place and into a deeper walk with God. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this has been the case in my own life, family and ministry. And God has always lead me into the right direction. I close with the following: “Never shut yourself out from hearing new and fresh Revelation from God about His word. There is always something fresh and new that we can gain from the word”. Amen.

2 Corinthians 9:6-11

In the 9th chapter of the book of 2 Corinthians the Apostle Paul is teaching on how the believer is to approach the giving of an offering. As he is teaching on this subject,  he goes on to make an analogy between money and seed . He compares money to a seed. Which in fact it is. The sooner the believer understands this truth, the quicker we will know how money in the kingdom of God operates and will begin to understand that in the kingdom of God just as in the natural, the law of sowing and reaping works all the time.
The Apostle Paul makes the comparison between a financial giver in the kingdom of God and a farmer in the field, they are both the same in the sense that you will reap what you sow and if there is no sowing there is no reaping. He says in verse 6 “He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap bountifully” and remember that in the context of this chapter and what the Apostle is teaching about, he is referring to the sowing of an offering. So we learn that the reaping goes in proportion to the sowing, that is true in the natural and is also true when it comes to giving into the kingdom.
Then in verse 10 the Apostle makes a powerful statement on which I received revelation knowledge many years ago, he said “Now he who ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food and MULTIPLY YOUR SEED SOWN, and       increase the fruits of your righteousness (giving). What this verse is teaching us is the following, that the only financial seed that can be multiplied by God is the financial seed that has been sown. The reason so many believers are living in financial lack is because they are not sowers, they have no seed in the ground for God to multiply and then to ultimately reap a        harvest. If you want to become a reaper you must first become a sower, that is the teaching of the Apostle Paul. When we   understand this truth then every time we bring an offering to church, we understand that what we are doing is sowing a seed, and that the seed that I have sown will be multiplied and God will take care of me and give me back exceeding, abundantly and beyond. Many believers are praying for financial blessings without giving of a financial seed. That would be like an apple farmer praying for apples without first sowing the apple seed. We know that he will receive no harvest until he puts seed into the ground.
Beloved brother and sister I encourage you to view your giving as sowing, because that is the Biblical view that God wants us to learn. When you give you are giving God something to multiply. Be a sower and you will become a reaper. Amen.

The word load means:  to supply abundantly, lavishly or excessively, to fill.
The word Benefit means: something that is good, beneficial and advantageous, an act of kindness, improvement, reward.
This is a promise that you need to take on for your life everyday. God is not in the business of only blessing you a little bit, his desire is to bless you abundantly. Don’t  believe the lies of the devil and many religious opinions that go around, that God is out to get you and make you as miserable as you can be and that the more sick, poor and sad you are the more holy you are. That is not the word of God almighty.
God’s word says that He is loading upon us on a daily basis all His benefits. The word says that He is able to do exceeding, abundantly, above all that we could ask or think according to the power that is working in us. The Bible says that my God shall provide all that I need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus. Those promises are for you, go ahead and receive them in Jesus name. The devil has done a great job at making misery, poverty and sickness go hand in hand with God, and that is not so.
I want you to believe that for this day, this week and this year that you will make yourself available for the benefits of God to be loaded upon your life. May you believe it, meditate on it, confess it and appropriate it over you life in Jesus name. Amen.

The believer must be a person that excels in every area of life. Our standards of doing things must go beyond the standards of the world. Daniel was a young man who lived in the city of Babylon, and the Bible says about him in Daniel 5:12 that it was evident to all, that he had an Excellent Spirit. His attitude, his way of doing things, his  demeanour was obvious to all and thus excelled far beyond anyone else in the kingdom, gaining the attention of the King and Queen. The word excel means: To throw beyond the usual mark, to surpass, to outdo, to do extremely well, to exceed etc.
I believe it is God’s will that the believer be a person that excels in whatever he or she puts their hands to do. I want to challenge you that this year you will excel in whatever you do, especially when it comes to the things of God, for the Bible says in Mathew 6:23              “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the things you need shall be added unto you”. Excel in your church attendance, in your praise and worship, in your giving, in your study and knowledge of God’s word, excel in your faith, in the fruit of the Spirit, in your passion and desire for spiritual things etc. Those that are privileged to be serving God and the church in a certain ministry, strive to excel and to do the best you can for God, understanding that whatever we are called to do deserves our best attention, for it is to the glory of Jesus that we do it in the first place and He deserves the best of our time, talent, energy, attention etc.
Also may you this year excel in your daily life as a husband, wife and child. May you excel in your employment, that it may be notable that you have an excellent spirit and that whatever task you are given to do, it is done with a touch of excellence.
As we are in the beginning stages of the year 2012, it is wise to take an inventory of where we are spiritually and physically, we must come to the conclusion that this year we are going to do much better in every area of our lives than we did last year. We are going to excel and outdo ourselves for the Glory of God.
As a church let’s be encouraged to be a church of excellence that whatever we do, we may excel in it for the glory of God. That it may be evident to all those that will attend our church, that we pride ourselves in our service to Jesus and to people. Amen.

1 Samuel 30:1-31
As I was thinking about what to write in this first bulletin devotional of the year the word recovery was coming up out of my spirit. And I believe the following is what God wants you to believe for in this coming year.
I want to make the following prophetic declaration over your life “2012 will be a year of recovery for you”.
The word recovery in the Bible means the following:  To regain the rightful condition, to retrieve, to recuperate, get back what has been lost, to reclaim. The word also refers to the taking back of an object from another's power.
This is the year of recovering and taking back everything that the Bible says is ours and is not real in our lives. There was a song that used to be sung a few years ago and it had a part in it that says “I went into the enemies camp and I took back what he stole from me”. There are too many believers that are living their Christian life far below the standard of the word and allowing the enemy to come in and steal what is rightfully ours. It’s time for recovery. Make the following declaration “2012 is my year of recovery”, everything that has been lost, or taken away whether it is spiritual, physical or financial is going to be reclaimed.
It’s time to recover your salvation, healing, the blessing, your joy, your peace, your prosperity, your vision, your calling, your gifts and talents, your passion for Jesus and the church, the fire you once had is coming back in Jesus name.
We must be aware of one great truth, that the one that does the recovery is not God but it is you and I, for God through Jesus Christ did everything He will ever need to do on the cross. Many people wait around for recovery to just show up out of the blue and then get frustrated when nothing changes, that is due to a lack of understanding that we are the ones that have been given the power to recover.
In 1 Samuel 30:1-31, King David arrives at the city of Ziklag with his men only to find the city has been burned to the ground by the enemy and their wives and children taken captive. As is normal David and his men began to be in great distress and to cry and lament until they had no more strength to cry. It was a terrible situation. But then David does something that changes the scenario, it says in verse 6 “David encouraged himself in the LORD his God”. And he enquired of God and asked “Shall I pursue the enemy? Shall I overtake them? Now notice the    response that God gives David through the priest, He said “Pursue: for you shall surely overtake them, and without fail RECOVER ALL. So David went after the enemy and in verse 18 it says “And DAVID               recovered all” verse 19 says “there was nothing lacking to them neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor anything that they had taken to them: David RECOVERED all”. Notice that it says and David recovered all. God gave Him the go ahead to go and recover and he did.
God tells you on this first day of the year 2012 “Go and Recover everything that has been lost”.
