From the director (Gore Verbinski) of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and The Ring, comes an action-packed, western starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.

The Lone Ranger was first produced as a radio show (1933), but was then conceived into a TV program (1949), coining such popular phrases as "Hi-yo, Silver! Away!"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lone_Ranger 80 years later, Gore Verbinski is bringing back Ke-mo sah-bee.

The story is told by Tonto (Johnny Depp), a Native American warrior, who narrates the story of John Reid's (Armie Hammer) journey of becoming a hero of justice. By working together, Tonto and John Reid bring down those who stand in the way of the law.

This movie is sure to be an epic one, filled with adventure, excitement, and a lot of eye candy. People who are fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies are sure to love The Lone Ranger

Benedict Cumberbatch Shirtless Scene in Star Trek Into Darkness

If you've been on the internet at all lately then you probably know about the controversy over Alice Eve's underwear scene in Star Trek Into Darkness.

Many fans have been disappointed by the scene, and have been discussing whether or not it should have made the final cut of the film. The writer even issued a public apology about it, stating that he didn't want to have this scene skewed as misogynistic.

Well, there is one shirtless scene that didn't make the film and that belonged to Benedict Cumberbatch.

In an interview with Conan, director JJ Abrams discussed the Alice Eve scene, but in the midst of it also revealed that there was supposed to be a nude shower scene with villain Cumberbatch that ended up on the cutting room floor --

Honestly there really isn't much of a difference between this scene and Eve's except for the fact that this steamy shower scene didn't end up in the feature film. However if it had, Cumberbatch has an enormous female following (who are all probably reposting the scene to tumblr as I type this) and they probably would have swooned ever so loudly if this had made the cut.

Star Trek Into Darkness opened to an excellent $70.2 million and will most likely stay near the top this weekend.

New Clip from All Is Lost

JC Chandor's All Is Lost will prove to be quite the rarity once it leaves Cannes and heads to theatres.

Apart from a few, brief words by Robert Redford, the film relies on what is happening onscreen and contains no dialogue. If it sounds like Life of Pi, you have the right idea, but the wrong message. Chandor's film isn't about sentimentality, rather, it is about resourcefulness and perserverance. All Is Lost is one of the best reviewed features out at Cannes right now, and figures to be involved in the Oscar race later this year.

All Is Lost arrives in theatres Oct 25th!

Red Band Trailer for We're the Millers Starring Jason Sudeikis & Jennifer Aniston

The red band trailer for We're the Millers released earlier today, and there is no doubt that this trailer is not work appropriate.

After putting together a team of ragtag low-lifes that include a stripper, a runaway, and a loser teenager, a drug dealer makes his way down to Mexico in an RV to smuggle over a heafty amount of weed. Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses) plays the drug dealers, Jennifer Aniston the stripper, Emma Roberts (Scream 4) the runaway, and newcomer Will Poulter (Son of Rambow) plays the virgin neighbor.

Directed by Dodgeball's Rawson Thurber, We're the Millers releases August 9th. Watch the red band trailer above, and if you're at work the more appropraite green band trailer is immediatly below it.

Poltergeist Remake Actually a Sequel?

The Poltergeist remake has been confirmed for a while now, and as whispers told it the film was going to be a remake of sorts. Well, now some plot details have been unveiled and it seems that the movie isn't going to be a remake at all, but either reboot or a sequel.

A handful of days ago Bloody Disgusting reported some plot details for the new Poltergeist film.

...the new version follows Eric Bowen and his family who, after he loses his job, relocate to a new town to start anew. His daughter, Madison, is abducted, making him truly understand what’s important in life: family. In the new version, Eric’s wife, Amy, can communicate with the dead.

Another interesting new character is Carrigan Burke, a television personality who hosts “Haunted House Cleaners.”? The supernatural doesn’t scare this guy. Dr. Brooke Powell is Carrigan’s ex-wife who is a parapsychologist at a local university.Her team investigates the supernatural events surrounding the disappearance of the Bowen girl.

From the sounds of it, the film seemingly is going for an Evil Dead sort of reboot. However, then Moviehole released some newer plot details that made the fillm sound like something else, again.

In one scene in the new film, the kids’ find some things behind the sliding panel in the attic. Yep, you guessed it – they find some of the Freeling’s possessions, intentionally left behind. There’s the Star Wars bed sheets (from Robbie’s room), a black-and-white TV set (why, of course!), and some Christmas decorations.

Although the new film may possess new characters and somewhat of a different storyline, all the “familiar beats” from the original “Poltergeist” films are in it. There’s the scary tree that proves a looming threat to our youngster (and gets pulled underground), the freaky ‘clown’ that sits upon a rocking chair in the bedroom (in this case, the clown sits in younger brother Griffin’s room), and of course there’s ‘phone’ trouble (in this case, older sister Kendra’s iPhone gets damaged by unseen forces), and of course the little girl – Madison – who makes friends with ‘The Lost People’ that nobody can see (but who don’t mind ‘showing off’ – making Madison’s hair stand up like she’s just been struck by electricity, being just one of their ‘tricks’).

From the looks of it, it seems that the film will be a sort of sequel if the kids are finding some of the Freeling's possessions in the attic (regardless of the fact that, you know, the Freeling house was actually destroyed at the end of the original).

Whether it's a reboot, a sequel, or a remake the new Poltergeist film is being directed by Gil Kenan and written by David Lindsay-Abaire. Filming starts September in Toronto.

First Look at the Coen Brothers' Latest Project

The Coen Brothers have released the first trailer for their latest film, Inside Llewyn Davis, and have begun the festival circuit.

The film, starring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, and John Goodman, released it's trailer a week ago and screened in competition at the Cannes Festival this past Sunday. The drama is about a folk-singer, Llewyn Davis, who is attempting to make it on his own after a somewhat successful run in a folk-singing duo.

Inside Llewyn Davis also contains some heartfelt, somewhat depressing, music that fits the mood. If you love the Coen Brothers, a good story, or just good music, put December 13 in your calendar.

US Trailer for The World's End

The UK trailer for Edgar Wright's latest film debuted a week ago, but the US trailer for The World's End has new footage featuring five childhood friends (played by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan, Paddy Considine, and Martin Freeman) recreating an epic pub crawl from their youth when the apocalypse hits.

The World’s End opens in the UK on July 19 and in the US on August 23.

Following the events of the previous film, the movie sees Lenny Feder (Adam Sandler) move his family to the hometown where he grew up with his life-long friends Eric (Kevin James), Kurt (Chris Rock), and Marcus (David Spade). They soon get into trouble with a college fraternity and take part in some exciting adventures on the last day of school.

The film is directed by Dennis Dugan and is slated for a July 12, 2013 release.

Grown Ups 2 also stars Stone Cold Steve Austin, Salma Hayek, Steve Buscemi, Jackie Sandler, Andy Samberg, Taylor Lautner, and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
