My desk is covered with tons of Prima goodies from Your Memories Here! I am up to my nose in tons of gorgeous flowers, papers and embellishments. I spent the night working on a special card for one of the most important people in my life. More on that on Monday–stay tuned!

Lately, I have been throwing all kinds of gorgeous embellishments into little baskets on my art table. I picked up this basket recently when I was with my family at Christmas Pines Campground in PA. I got a great bargain on 7 baskets and can’t wait to fill them with pretty items in my room.

A few weeks ago Marty (my love) picked up this little letter H at a craft store.  He thought it would be fun for me to alter the H and he was right! I covered it with some text paper that I had from a little bag that someone gave to me. I ripped it up and adhered it with Matte Medium. I had so much fun adding Prima flowers and Trinkets that I picked up at the fabulous Your Memories Here Store.

I have to admit that I LOVE this layout! I had so much fun with the process of this one and when it was finished I just couldn’t stop looking at it! That yellow diecut paper was in my stash forever. I often use those as masks/stencils when I spray but this time tried something different. I have an addiction to washi tape. I have been finding it all over the city in the most random stores! I have it in a pretty crystal container on my art table. I love being able to see all of the designs and colors.

With this layout, I took the washi tapes and ran them in horizontal stripes on a piece of plain white 12X12 cardstock. That looked really fabulous just like that BUT then I added the yellow diecut over the stripes. The pops of color peeking through the dicut were so much fun! From there, I had a blast adding scraps of papers, bling and flowers (of course). This layout is soon going to find a home in a page protector and hanging from the clothesline in my art studio! So, grab your washi tape, try something new and GO MAKE SOME ART! 

How bright and fun is this card? It has been SO long since I have made cards. I jumped right into creating cards for the class that I am teaching in New York City on April 26th. I am head over heels in love with the Zephyr collection from Prima. You can pick up goodies from this collection and TONS of other Prima from Your Memories Here. I LOVE LOVE LOVE creating mixed media canvases. I love grabbing some beautiful products and making a work of art to display in our NYC apartment. Now, I am convinced that I will NEVER run of out supplies-they seem to multiply over night. But, I may run out of space on the walls of our apartment. My sweet hubby tells me to just make them (he loves hanging my art) and he will always find somewhere to display them.

I made this one recently with a kit (& some extra goodies from my stash) that I grabbed from that magical scrapping closet in my art studio. I can reach into that closet and find all kinds of gorgeous things for my art. This was no exception! I combined some odds and ends that were left from projects that I created in the past and have to say, I am really thrilled with the results! Would LOVE to hear from you! 

With everything happening in our country this week, this would be the perfect time to use art to help my thought process. Instead, I have been sick. (stomach bug) Things are looking up as far as that is concerned but I am not my usual self yet.

Anyway, I did have a little art time in my studio and love posting on the WOYWW blog at Stamping Ground. I have been working on some 4X4 pages for a birthday club that I am in. Don’t you love that little dog stamp? It is so detailed that I had to grab my black detail embossing powder for it to look just right. I always use corrugated cardboard for these projects? I love that it adds a ton of texture to such a small piece of art! I picked up that cute “H” in the dollar section of Michael’s and can’t wait to alter it! It is on my up and coming artsy to do list.

The last pic is just some great stuff that I keep close by when I am creating. There are tons of embellishments-some bright, some more subdued and vintage. I like to add letters, chipboard, stamps, etc. to those boxes so I always have fun things to pick from! 

Hello! Heidi Bound here & a HUGE hello from New York City!

I am so thrilled to be a part of the Design Team for Your Memories Here! What an honor to have the opportunity to share my art with such a wonderful community of artists. I received my first box of goodies from Kristina and could hardly pick up the box. It was packed full of oodles of Prima goodness. I used some of that good stuff to create a canvas (8X10) where I mixed the Zephyr and Engraver Collections with some flowers from the Prima Grab Bag.

Here is the canvas–aren’t the colors so happy and bright? Can you tell I needed a little taste of Spring colors? This project is also a great way to use those beautiful scraps of paper that you couldn’t bear to throw away.

These little birds came in the Grab Bag-they are that amazing resist canvas! I cut that crown off of a stickpin and glued it with a bit of hot glue. It’s fun to look at your products and think outside the box when you use them.

Banners are all the rave! I love how the stickers in the Engraver Collection had banner pieces that I could mix & match. I used a bit of baker’s twine that was on our pizza delivery box from dinner the other night! You never know where you will find great stuff to use on your art.
