            <title>Massachusetts state funding - Residents now qualify for state funds.</title>
            <description> The Massachusetts Cultural Council will release more than $1.35 million in new state investments in the Massachusetts creative economy, the nonprofit announced Tuesday.

Senate President Robert E. Travaglini will announce the new round of grants to arts organizations in Greater Boston and across the state Wednesday, March 14 at the Museum of Science.

The grants are part of the John and Abigail Adams Arts Program for Cultural Economic Development.

Among the new projects being announced are two at the intersection of art, science, and technology taking place this spring: The Boston Cyberarts Festival, winner of this year&apos;s Commonwealth Award for Creative Economy, and the Cambridge Science Festival.

Massachusetts is home to more than 14,000 creative businesses that employ 78,204 people and play a significant role in building and sustaining economic vibrancy, according to a report published by the Americans for the Arts.
