From July 1, patients and GPs will need to make important decisions based on informed assessment of the PCEHR benefit, process and associated commitments. Given the significant issues that still require clarification prior to the July 1 commencement date, the College will provide weekly updates via Fridayfacts to update members on new information and progress made to support GPs opting to participate in the system.

Building your RACGP membership value

The RACGP member guide is now available and outlines a suite of services accessible through RACGP membership, including opportunities to become involved in the College's work. The guide also highlights new initiatives which further build membership value.

2012 council election nominations – now open

Nominations for the RACGP Council positions of President, Censor in Chief and Registrar Representative are now open and close Monday 25 June 2012 at 4.00 pm (AEST).

2012 RACGP awards – closing soon

Nominations for the 2012 RACGP awards are still open and close on 8 June 2012. A number of awards are available including RACGP general practice, practitioner and registrar of the year.

Enrolment in 2012.2 AKT and KFP examinations closing soon

Enrolment in the 2012.2 Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) and Key Feature Problems (KFP) examinations, being held on Saturday 4 August 2012, will be closing at 5.00 pm (AEST) Friday 8 June 2012.

The Introduction to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness in general practice activity aims to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by enhancing the cultural awareness of general practitioners (GPs), general practice staff, primary health care staff, and other health care providers. Medical students will also benefit.
