Zuhdi Jasser, opens with the following statement: “This is not a film about Islam. It is about the threat of radical Islam. Only a small percentage of the world's 1.3 billion Muslims are radical. This film is about them.”

In 72 minutes, the film reveals that radical Islamists driven by a religiously motivated rejection of western values cultures and religion are engaging in a multifaceted strategy to overcome the western world. In contrast to the use of “violent jihad” and terror to instill fear in “non-believers,” The Third Jihad introduces the concept of “cultural jihad” as a means to infiltrate and undermine our society from within.
http://www.thethirdjihad.com/911stream/911stream.php

Especially For You

Circumstances and relationships can take over our lives, and destroy our self esteem. It is easy to fall prey to self destruction. When you feel as though no one really cares, and you have to face these situations alone, just know that you are not alone.

"(Now) we have this (hope) as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul – it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it – (a hope) that reaches farther and enters into (the very certainty of the Presence) within the veil. Where Jesus has entered in for us (in advance), a Forerunner having become a High Priest forever after the order (with the rank) of Melchizedek" (Hebrews 6:19-20, AMP).

You may have no more faith; you may even feel there is no longer any hope left, but at a moment when the only answer appears to be to end it all...God can supernaturally place a tiny light at the end of that very dark, fearful corridor you are in and touch your spirit with a new light and revelation of Himself that will turn that dark hopelessness within you into a growing light of his truth, love, healing, strength and restoration of your own self-worth.
Will you trust Him for this ?

Jesus, our Heavenly Father is always near, and ready to come to your rescue.
Pray this prayer and be comforted.
Heavenly Father, I surrender all my failings, discouragements, fear and negative thoughts to You. I have only proven that in my own strength I cannot go on. I ask You to cleanse me, forgive me, and touch my spirit with a new hope. I release myself to You right now – every area of my life – and ask You to turn my life around, step by step. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Interview With Grace Reddick

What discipline do you impose on yourself regarding schedules, goals, etc.?
I must admit, I fall short here. I would love to spend all day, every day writing, but unfortunately there is life outside my office. I'm working on two books, so I have to divide my time, what little of it there is. Devoting several hours a day is my goal.

What do you recommend I do with all those things I wrote years ago but have never been able to bring myself to show anyone?
If you have a passion for what you have written, it should be treasured. I have never discarded anything. Sure, the style may have changed, but the story remains the same. The book, "Ashley's Unforgettable Summer," is a story I wrote many years ago while my two girls were young children. I say, go for it.

Read the complete interview: http://www.whohub.com/grace4books

Website And Blogs

You may also visit my website: You may have been laid off from work, your world may seem ready to explode, and your body may be racked with pain. Maybe you see no relief in sight.

Meditate on God's Word.(Psalm 119:15-16): Meditate literally means to "self talk." When you face the toughest seasons of your life, get in the Word and repeat the promises of God. Remind yourself of God's goodness, love and power. Talk about the victory and blessings that are yours as a child of God!

Stay planted (Psalm 1:3): When times get tough, don't bolt. Stay planted in your marriage. Stay planted in the house of God. Stay planted in prayer and in the Word. Determine that no matter what, you will stay rooted in God. He is the source of your peace and power. God is faithful and He cares for you. He knows your need. He will not abandon nor forsake you.

Raise the praise (Psalm 76:1): When you make the praises of God known, He will fight your battle. When you enter into the place of praise and make the blessings of God known, He will break the weapons of your enemy.

If you want to win, learn to praise. Are you going to let fear and worry rule your life . . . or are you going to speak about the blessings and goodness of God? Are you going to give God power through your praise? When you fill your life with praise and meditate on God's Word, there's no room for defeat and depression in your life. When you praise, you release the power and authority of God. It is a gift of love from God to man that is so precious and pure that it can't be understood. Man's meager mind cannot conceive of a perfect God sacrificing His only Son for imperfect man. This love defies reasoning.

Sometimes, even Christians can't believe they really are loved so freely. Man usually sees God's love as having conditions and a price. This is an age when nothing is free, so how can love – a commodity most highly prized – not also demand a payment?

Yes, God's unconditional love is beyond our comprehension because there is no human love to match it. Man does not deserve it; it can't be earned. It is given freely, it does not wax cold.

Be encouraged by this; man's love wavers and is conditional. But, God's love is for you, unconditional, born of a mercy and grace that transcends all faults and failures. God loves you because you are special and important to Him. Rest now in His love. Be free from condemnation of the enemy, your failures, or the circumstances of the day. Face tomorrow with His love – it will never fail!

Father in heaven, how perfect is Your love for me! Even though I don't deserve it, thank you for loving me. Thank you for this day You gave me, wrapped in love from You. Thank you for this night of rest now, for even sleep is an expression of Your loving kindness. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Book Review

Monday, May 12, 2008

Ashley's Unforgettable Summer by Grace Reddick

Debut author Grace Reddick has written a children's story that is full of imagination and impossibilities that are sure to delight young children! Rich with colorful illustrations, I think your family will enjoy this one!"

Ashley's Unforgettable Summer" is the tale of a young girl named Ashley and her unforgettable summer--oops, sorry about that...been helping my son with book reports lately:-) (Just kidding, Book Kid!)

Ashley and her family take a trip to Africa, but it isn't the kind of family vacation Ashley expected. Instead of luxury, they stay in huts, travel by land rovers called a Wacky Bus, and see the real Africa.

Unexpectedly (and unwisely in my parental opinion), Ashley's parents let her take home an exotic pet as a 'souvenir', and you'll never guess what she picks out! Okay, you probably will, so I'll just spill it

......a chimp named Tina. And spill it is a good term, because Tina tends to get into EVERYTHING and spill and squirt and spread...like a toddler on Pixie Sticks! Ashley and her friend Rylee spend their summer chasing after the chimpanzee and keeping up with her antics.

Kids will love the trouble Tina gets into. She's a female version of Curious George, with a hint more mischief and a bit more mess! This would be a wonderful series that will keep children entertained and expand their imaginations.

Just do NOT run out and buy them a chimp! Buy them this book instead:-) I'm giving "Ashley's Unforgettable Summer" four out of five bookmarks, with a whisk broom as a charm...she's going to need it!

Happy Reading!

Deena

http://deenasbooks.blogspot.com/2008/05/ashleys-unforgettable-summer-by-grace.html

Book Review

the book rack
Book Reviews from Pump Up Your Book Promotion Public Relations
ASHLEY’S UNFORGETTABLE SUMMER by Grace Reddick
June 30, 2008 by pumpupyourbookpromotion

Ashley’s Unforgettable SummerAuthor: Grace ReddickPublisher: XlibrisRating: Reviewed by: Dorothy Thompson.

Who wouldn’t love to own a monkey even though she sure could get into a lot of trouble! All in all, Tina turns out to be Ashley’s best friend and that summer turns out to be Ashley’s most unforgettable summer.

I really enjoyed this book, but I didn’t want to stop finding out about more trouble the little chimp could get into. Perhaps there’s a second book so I can have my Tina fix? ;o)
Ashley’s Unforgettable Summer by Grace Reddick is sure to be a hit with the pre-school crowd and monkey lovers alike!

Teaching Our Children to Resist Aggression Defensively

Welcome to radKIDS®!
The Revolutionary Leader in Personal Empowerment Safety Education and Violence Prevention for Children
http://radkids.org/

For Children

http://www.kidsknowit.com/

http://www.calvary-kids-pages.com/Calvary_Kids_Music.html

Local Author Visits S. When writing her first book, she did not realize the tremendous impact it would have on people.

"I have always enjoyed writing. I began to journal many years ago, and found it to bring healing for my mind and spirit. It also enables me to seek and express my inner self," Reddick said.
Reddick has been invited to participate at many school events throughout the local area where she has spoken to hundreds of students about her book. Her granddaughter and inspiration for the book, Ashley, is a teacher at Sand Hill Elementary in Rincon.

Reddick enjoys being given the opportunity to speak at the various schools. She captivates the students with her story about Ashley and her unforgettable and challenging summer. Not only does she participate on various school programs, she also donates books to all the schools and libraries she has been invited to. She wants children to have access to the book, and believes that reading is a vital part of learning.

"I am grateful my book is helping others, and children are reading it," Reddick said. On Nov. 14, she is scheduled to participate in South Effingham Middle School's Annual Career Day.
Reddick has received book reviews from as far away as Melbourne, Australia. Book reviews have also come from Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virginia California and Utah.
Since becoming a published author, Reddick has joined various writers' groups. She is a member of the International Society of Poets, a member of the Christian Pen, a member of Authors' Den, and is also a member of CWTR (Christian Women Take Root). She is proud to be a Ministry Partner of the Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

Reddick is currently working on her second book, "Forsaken Land." Her second book is also a children's book. "I hope it will be published the first part of next year," she said.
"Once my second book is completed, I plan to write on a personal and spiritual level. My deepest desire is to uplift and bring renewed hope to readers who may be experiencing difficult life circumstances."

Reddick grew up in Savannah, and now lives in Ellabell. Ashley, the main character, captures your attention with her unpredictable chimpanzee, Tina. The colorful illustrations blend in well with the story that is being told.Precocious Ashley and her chimpanzee are faced with one intriguing dilemma after another. These “little” dilemmas become even more amusing as the story reaches its apex. The book is well written, as it shifts from chapter to chapter. The author is to be commended, and I strongly recommend it for readers of all ages.It is an excellent book for school libraries.
Dr. Edith W. They LOVED it! Most children are animal lovers and they fell in love with Tina the baby chimpanzee. The children could relate to all of the trouble Tina got into. They said things like, “Tina reminds me of my brother, whenever he is quiet for a long time he is usually into something - just like Tina.” “The monkey reminds me of my little sister when she is sleeping - I love to watch her sleep.” “Ashley reminds me of myself - I like to dress up my dog like she likes to dress up Tina.” The children loved the book, they thought it was funny. They became interested in knowing more about Africa (where Tina came from).
We loved the illustrations. Charr Floyd did a fabulous job capturing the silly monkey, Tina in all of her antics. Each time I brought the book out to read to the children, they became excited. They were engaged throughout and had questions and comments. This is a great book for 9-12 year old children to read independently, but I would also highly recommend it as a read aloud to younger children - even as young as five or six years old.

This entry was posted on Thursday, June 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am

The Friendly Book Nook
http://thefriendlybooknook.com/2008/06/05/ashleys-unforgettable-summer-by-grace-reddick/

Interview

http://overthehillchick.blogspot.com/2008/06/boomer-babe-grace-reddick-visits-boomer.html
