Favorite YSL golden gloss in #3. Too bad they're going to discontinue this formula. I guess it's too expensive to make a formula with 24 K gold flecks.

Shanghainese Vegetable Rice

So delicious and easy to make!
Saute chopped bokchoy and mushrooms with oil. Mix the sauteed vegetables with uncooked rice in the rice cooker. Add about half a cup of chicken broth. Cook for 20 minutes in the rice cooker. Easy!

You can find these mushrooms at most Asian stores. They have become really popular in the last few years.

Blooming its heart out in the winter. Grown under florescent light, low maintenance. It's so nice to see flowers indoors when it's freezing cold outside.

Our goldfish are 4 months old and we got a new Betta double tail a week ago. Gavin named him Gavie.

I change the water once a week and I don't over feed them. They can't live in the same bowl. Betta fish is very territorial and our goldfish fight constantly!

I think Gavie is very pretty! ( handsome, he's a male)

Simple beech mushrooms with broccoli

2014-01-03T11:50:00.001-08:00

This dish is very simple to make. Breech mushrooms are very cheap and lasts for a couple of weeks in the fridge. You can find them at most Asian stores.

I used my garlic infused olive oil to sauté this and I added some broccoli. I think these little mushrooms are so cute. I keep thinking of the Super Mario old school game when I was coming this :)

Egg custard

2013-12-22T17:24:00.001-08:00

Steamed egg custard. I got this very simple recipe from Cooking with the dog on YouTube. I love, love, this YouTube channel!

I like this custard because I don't have to use my oven to bake it. A lot of desserts can be steamed instead of baking it in the oven. But you can never steam a chiffon cake :)

So good and simple! I eat one everyday. Gelatin is supposed to be good for your skin. Gelatin helps your skin's elasticity. I heard it's good for preventing wrinkles!
