If you notice there is a counter on my blog. Look to the left and you will see it. It was put there by a very special person in my life to remind me that there are people who care what I post on my blog. That person is KIMA MARIE HARVEY WALTERS. I look at that counter and I see what Kima wanted me to see. I have friends who see me as an example of what a Christian is. Not perfect but trying to be better day by day. The other thing that encourages me is when people leave comments for me. Some say they do not want me to publish them because they are personal messages to just me and they are not to be shared. They want me to know they are praying for me daily. I appreciate these messages of encouragement because I know there are prayers that are being said for me by these people so I will be reminded that when others are trying to tear me down they will be lifting me up. One told me when someone is tearing me down that person is really trying to put themselves on a higher level than I am so they can look down on me. Praise the Lord. I don't want to be higher than anyone else so I can look down. All I desire is to kneel and pray until I can step through the gates of Heaven and see Jesus face to face.. Thank you Kima for the counter.

Well I heard that it is not over until the "FAT LADY SINGS" so I am singing this morning. I just quit FACEBOOK and am now on Illiana Chatter a fun place I think it is just what I need at this time. I don't know how to tell people to get there but maybe MAC, BRU OR TUCK will tell people how to get to the place where we can meet. I am enjoying a cup of Hot peppermint tea and a Dove bar at McGregors Bar and Grill which is open 24 hours 7 days a week.

The Westville Library has a movie every month for Senior citizens. It is made possible by Sunset Funeral Homes. Today Harvey, Tuck and I enjoyed THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE Starring John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart. I really enjoy these movies and the snacks that are provoded for us. Thank you Westville Library and Sunset Funeral Homes.

There is no other way to say it. Facebook changes have me confused, angry, and downright mad. I don't understand change when everything is going along fine. "IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON"T TRY TO FIX IT" Okay, I will admit I am not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree but I am not the dimmist either ! Perhaps I am not seeing the bigger picture that the Facebook higher-ups see.Why not give us a choice between the two profile walls.

I miss her yet I never met her. She has been my computer friend since 2005 when I first went online. we always hoped to meet sometime and she almost made it to the ONLINE PICNIC. Her name was BONNIE CHRISTIAN. She lived in Danville and was in the class of 1964 at DHS. She moved to Muncie Inidana and always hoped to get back to Danville .She stepped into Heaven on Jan 11th.

I have always hated dirty four letter words. Some that I really hate to hear are rain, hail, wind, and of course the word SNOW. I have always wished we lived in a warmer climate but then I stop and tell myself "HOW CAN I REALLY APPRECIATE NICE WEATHER IF I DON"T HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPARE IT WITH? Well, I have had enough to compare it with and now I would like to know how many days until spring. I hope someone leaves a comment with the number on it.

Memories of reunions and fun with Cousins have invaded my thoughts lately I imagine because Tuck reserved places for the Woodard and Rohrer Reunions. The Rohrer reunions is for the descendants of my parents CLYDE and BUELAH BAILEY ROHRER. I enjoyed my BAILEY cousins DAVID AND LARRY HICKMAN the sons of Uncle Rolland and Aunt Rene Hickman, PEGGY and SANDY the daughters of Gail and Esther Bailey, and Uncle Les and Aunt Helen Phillips kids who lived in Tilton. I used to ride my bike to Tilton and Aunt Helen would let me read comics. Uncle Les and Uncle Gail worked at a NEWS AGENCY where they could bring the old comic books home. In later years I attended the Bailey and Woodard reunions regularly but the Baileys don't meet anymore. So pictured here are Steve and Gayle Rohrer (Steve is the youngest son of Harold and Wilma Rohrer) and the second picture is of the HOAKS kids as adults. They were the children of Jim and Lucille Hoaks. Lucille was my dads sister. I write back and forth with Linda Strelow whose parents were Harold and Wilma Rohrer also .Linda and Steves brother Jim who everyone knew as Butch, died a few years ago. Judy Rohrer Wells lives in Oakwood with her family. In the Hoaks picture Are Wilma Jean HOAKS Whitington Killion, Paul , and Norm (Billie) who have all passed away.Wayne, Carl and Richard are not pictured. The only ones left in the picture are Hilda Hoaks Sherman,Carol Edwards, and Marjorie Sidwell and a sister who is not in the picture, Betty Bainbridge who lives in Ely Nevada.There is another sister but I have lost track of her. Her name is Karen..Another cousin who has stepped into Heaven is Vera Marie. She was born Vera Marie Jenkins a daughter of Earl and Opal Rohrer Jenkins. She was born six months before I was. Her mom was my dads sister. her mom died after giving birth to Veras little brother when we were 3 years old. Vera spent a lot of time with our grandparents so I was able to play at Grandmas.

What draws us to St Peter and St Paul Cemetery? Why do we go out empty handed, walk to a grave, and turn and walk back to the car? It was a year ago today we saw Bobby for the last time. He had stepped into Heaven and was in the arms of Jesus. There was standing room only at the church and some people left but they made sure we knew they were there before they did. His four children felt comfortable in touching his face or his hair . We knew it was important to them. Some of them may remember doing it. Others may not.Now the date is complete. We'll be back Bobby. Your spirit draws us there

Harveys last day was last week. Mine will be when our friend Karen Beck is able to bowl after leg surgery.I bowl for the Sometimers team. I am their handicap. My average is so low that the opposing team gives our team pins. When Karen gets back I think the handicap will be gone. She is a good bowler. We may go down to just watch . Our sons Tuck and Greg bowl on the KEENAGERS team.

I hope this day is very special for you.For you deserve to have one. All the children you took in and loved as your own for so many years.For trying to be our friend, to teach us right from wrong.To teach us about how important God is in our lives. Also to treat people like we would want to be treated. To ignore the ignorant, as not let them get to us, but pray for them. This is a picture of the Fire Department blanket with the seal of Danville, Illinois. I bought the blanket from a friend for Harvey for his birthday. I asked her if she knew the history of the blanket. She said she didn't and said she bought it at Salvation Army. It would be nice if we could find out who made it.

I have read the Bible through several times in my life. I have read the different versions including
King James,Modern Language, The Living Bible and the Revised Standard. This year Ridgeview Baptist replaced their pew Bibles with the ENGLISH STANDARD VERSION so I am going to try to read it this year.
