Why I'm Deleting My Pinterest Board

I read a post by an attorney here that makes total sense. So I'm no longer using Pinterest and am deleting my boards. Due to the fact that I know that it's illegal to "steal" or "borrow" pics. And Pinterest states that if there is any legal issues that I (or YOU) will have to pay for an attorney to represent both you and Pinterest I'm just thinking it's not worth the risk. Why this didn't occur to me when I have dealt with this on marketing ads is just beyond me. The company I worked for was even threatened with a lawsuit and they had to pay thousands of dollars to get out of it. If you think "Well, that was for a company" let me mention that this was a small family owned company -- not a big corporation.

Do I think it's likely to happen. No, not really. But being the only wage earner in my house with a seriously ill husband, I'm just not willing to take the risk.

Even the cofounder of Pinterest admits that he doesn't understand all the ins and out of the law.

You can even add html to your website to keep people from pinning.

I might put my boards back up and then only pin things that have a pin button on the post or website. To me that is a clear indication it is okay to use that pic. However, at this time I'm not sure what had this and what didn't so I took it all down.

I believe every Christian should find time to read “Our Favorite Sins”. Mr. Hunter has created a revolutionary framework to explain how our Disordered Desires lead us to Temptation and from Temptation into sin. Todd looks mainly to the Letters of James and core teachings of Jesus to develop his framework. His reasoning is sound and I believe his interpretation of the scripture is accurate, and his assertions through this interpretation are enlightening.

This book took me longer to read then then the 250 pages suggested because each page is chalked full of key insights and essential concepts. I often found myself reading and re-reading a page so I could fully digest all these valuable points. For this book I highly recommend readers have a highlighter handy.

This book is called “Our Favorite Sins” because Mr. Hunter is addressing the sins we commit every day, usually without knowing we are sinning. (There is a name and solution for this but you have to read the book yourself to find out).
