Graduation Day is Friday, May 27th. School is closed. Seniors are to report to Graduation at the Ritchie Center, Hamilton Gym, at 6:30 AM.

There is no School on Monday, May 30th, in honor of Memorial Day.

Locker clean-out will take place after block 1, Wednesday, June 1.

Finals start on June 2nd.

National Chinese Honor Society

Is raising money to send 10 children living in poverty in southwestern China to school. For Valentine's day, we are selling Chinese character charms for keychains, phone charms, necklaces and other uses to earn money toward this cause. Charms are available for sale in the commons during all lunches on Valentine's Day and all of next week.

Leadership 2011-2012

Applications are due to the Activities Office by 3pm, February 18th.

Safe Chicks Personal Safety Training

SAFE CHICKS is a non profit organization dedicated to empowering young women to have the confidence to go out into the world with a new sense of awareness, an ability to better defend themselves, and to be a Safer Chick.

Open to all female GHS students age 16 and older (highly recommended for all senior girls) and open to moms and GHS alumnae.

One-day, 4-hour course taught by police officers and self-defense experts.

Cost: $30 for moms and GHS alumnae.
Only $10 for current GHS students! (It is being subsidized by your GHS PTCO.)

All District Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2nd.

All Activities, Athletics and Events are canceled on Wednesday.

Wrestling meet IS scheduled for Thursday, 7PM at Eaglecrest HS.

The signing ceremony scheduled for Wednesday will be held Friday, February 4th, at 2PM in the Cafeteria.

Tonight: Coaches vs Cancer

On January 26^th, the Basketball Coaching Staff will be wearing tennis shoes and ties in order to raise awareness to the fight against cancer. Our coaches challenge the student body to also wear tennis shoes and ties, over their regular clothing as well. There will be donation buckets at the gate into which any spare change/dollars can be placed in support of the American Cancer Society.

Last night's Chick-fil-A fundraiser for the ILC music program was a great success. Kudos especially to the girls' and boys' Lacrosse teams who came out in big numbers for their classmates. Wrestlers and girls' basketball get an honorable mention for heading supporting their classmates after their practices! Go Wolves!

Girls' Golf Meeting

Monday January 31, 2011Mobile 2 at 3:00 -3:30PM

Registration for spring sports is due to the athletic office by February 18, 2011. Spring sports include; baseball, boys' and girls' lacrosse, boys' and girls' track and field, boys' swimming, girls' tennis, girls' soccer and girls' golf. If your student has played another sport this year, as long as their physical is current, they can have their paperwork transferred to the new sport. The electronics collection fundraiser by the Chinese Honor Society is coming to an end. If you have any used or broken cell phones, mp3 players, empty print cartridges or other electronic devices, you can drop off these items in the donation boxes in the library or roomU101 until January 26^th.

STATE CHAMPIONS

Coins for Craig is back. The Student Athletic Council will be sponsoring the coin drive between November 29^th and December 17^th to raise money for Craig Hospital. Classes are competing against each other and faculty to raise the most points. Here’s the catch, pennies are worth 1 point, silver coins are worth negative points equal to their value. Come down to the commons during lunches to support your class and Craig Hospital.
