<p>The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is accepting applications for &#8220;Support for Participation in TV Multi-Station Master Controls&#8221;. This program will assist public<br />
TV stations with grants to pay for<br />
equipment or fees that are required to<br />
participate in existing multi-station master control projects.</p>
<p>Priority for grant support will be given to stations that are likely to encounter<br />
difficulty in securing capital equipment<br />
funding (based on market size, type of<br />
service, location or other circumstance), with the highest priority among these being rural stations.</p>
<p>Grant support is available for:</p>
<p>* Last-mile fiber or other connectivity;<br />
* Special automation, storage, remote<br />
control or other equipment or needed at<br />
either the station or the centralcast facility;<br />
* One-time entry or operation<br />
al fees for joining the multi-station master control. </p>
<p>Such fees must effectively reduce or<br />
eliminate the grantee station&#8217;s master<br />
control equipment &#8220;refresh and replace&#8221;<br />
costs for several years.</p>

<p>Center for Research in Emotional and Social Health Invites Applications for Children and Families Emotional Health Programs</p>
<p>The Center for Research in Emotional and Social Health is accepting applications for projects that target the social and emotional health of children and families.</p>
<p>Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded to individuals and organizations working to implement a new evidence-based social-emotional health intervention within a service setting. To qualify, organizations must demonstrate the effectiveness of the intervention through evidence reported in the registries list or in a peer-review journal, target social/emotional health for children and families, and evaluate the benefits of the intervention by measuring outcomes. In addition, projects must target bullying prevention, social skills, emotional literacy, and/or social and emotional learning.</p>
<p>Grants are open to individuals and organizations that provide direct services to children and families, including teachers, schools, and school district personnel; community health providers; clinicians in private practice; and others in the health, human services, and educational fields.</p>

These agencies include, but are not limited to: Faith-based and community organizations; An entity carrying out activities under Workforce Investment Act (WIA), such as a local workforce investment board, American Job Center (formerly known as One-Stop Career Center), or local school board; A community action agency; A state or local housing development agency; An Indian tribe or other agency primarily serving American Indians; A community development corporation; A state or local youth service conservation corps; A consortium of such agencies or organizations with a designated lead applicant; or Any other public or private non-profit entity that is eligible to provide education or employment training under a Federal program.<br />
The Employment and Training Administration (ETA), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL, or the Department), announces the availability of approximately $75 million in grant funds authorized by the Youth Build provisions of the Workforce Investment Act [29 USC 2918a]. The final amount available depends on the amount of funds appropriated for Youth Build in Fiscal Year (FY) 2013. Youth Build grants will be awarded through a competitive process. <p>The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation has announced the next round of the Knight Arts Challenge Miami. Beginning on February 4, 2013, the program will be seeking the best and most innovative ideas from local individuals and organizations seeking to weave the arts into the lives of South Floridians. Anyone, anywhere can apply to the challenge, so long as they follow three simple rules: 1) the idea must be about the arts; 2) the project must take place in or benefit South Florida; and 3) the applicant must be able to find funding to match the Knight Foundation grant. Applicants can be from outside of Florida. Applications will be accepted in English, Spanish, and Creole. The foundation has compiled a list of resources and strategies on how to best apply, including an FAQ about the contest, video profiles of past winners, a report about the ways the challenge is bringing the community together through the arts, information on the nearly one hundred projects the challenge has funded in the past three years, and advice on how to make an application stand out. The foundation will also offer opportunities for the community to ask questions through live Web chats and in-person town halls.</p>

Typical projects funded by the grant would include website redevelopment services, event management and promotion, marketing campaign services, social networking campaigns, etc.Due to the numerous submissions received, the deadline for grant applications is the 21st day of each month.
