<p>If you want to get your attendees buzzing about packing their bags, you may want to send more than just an evite. We’ve seen just how powerful pre-event mailers can be when they’re packed with local goods.</p>



<p>For our client Union Pacific, we’ve created event mailers tied to awards meetings hosted all across the U.S. and Canada. Each one pulled inspiration from the destination itself, featuring on-theme packaging, locally sourced snacks, and custom promo pieces like charcuterie boards shaped like the hosting state. These weren’t just kits; they were conversation starters and keepsakes that anchored the experience to a place.</p>

<p>Experiential popups take destination-driven thinking one step further. Instead of handing someone an item on arrival and hoping it sticks, you invite them into a moment. Austin? Cue a custom cowboy hat bar, where attendees build their own piece of Texas flair. Tampa? A premium sunglasses popup feels right at home in the Florida sunshine. New York? A custom moleskin notebook bar with an artist doing in-person sketches in the journals—it’s only right for the art capital of the world. </p>



<p>Even when products aren’t overtly branded, the association sticks. People remember <em>who</em> created the experience and exactly where they were when they got it. According to a PPAI survey, <strong>70% of consumers say the quality of a promo product impacts their perception of the company that gave it to them, </strong>which speaks volumes to gifting useful, valuable goods they will use time and time again.</p>

<p>Employee Appreciation Day has a way of sneaking up on even the most organized teams. And when it does, the pressure is on to find a gift that feels thoughtful rather than repetitive or last-minute. A great appreciation gift does more than check a box. It shows up on a desk, doorstep, or coffee table and reminds employees that their work is seen and valued, especially when teams are spread across offices, homes, and everywhere in between.</p>



<p>So this year, instead of guessing what employees <em>might</em> want, we went straight to the source: <strong>our own Grapevine Designs team</strong>.</p>



<p>We asked employees across departments what they would genuinely love to receive for Employee Appreciation Day, or what would make their day-to-day work lives easier. The result? A collection of ideas rooted in real-world use, not trends. While preferences varied, one theme was clear: the most impactful gifts are practical, high-quality, and useful well beyond March 6.</p>

<li><strong>Hannah (Warehouse) </strong>called out Bluetooth speakers, power banks, and wireless charging pads as practical, everyday essentials that eliminate clutter and cords.</li>



<li><strong>Eva (Account Management</strong>) echoed that sentiment with her pick: a compact, magnetized power bank that snaps right onto your phone for easy charging on the go.</li>



<li><strong>Rayma (Accounting)</strong> took it a step further, highlighting a desk speaker that also includes USB and USB-C charging ports, combining sound and power into one streamlined workspace solution.</li>

<li>Bethany (Design) focused on desk comfort, calling oversized mousepads an unexpectedly big upgrade — especially when full-color designs add personality to a workspace.</li>



<li>Abby (Sales) rounded out the category with a versatile carry-on tote that works just as well as a daily work bag as it does for travel or busy days on the go.</li>
</ul>
