On December 12, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas, Grapevine’s scenic home to hundreds of thousands of youth athletes and their families was awarded The Baseball Field of the Year for the State of Texas by the Texas Turfgrass Association.

Tree Sharing Program

This program is a joint effort between the City of Grapevine and Grapevine Homeowners in “sharing” the cost, 50/50, of up to two trees per household planted in the homeowner’s yard. Holiday Closings & Trash Schedule

Mandatory Water Restrictions Begin August 29

Texas is experiencing the worst one-year drought in the state's history. No rain means our water supplies are declining and our outdoor watering habits play a big role in this decline. Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD), the raw water supplier for almost all of Tarrant County including the Cities of Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, and the Trinity River Authority (TRA) is requesting that all customer cities implement Stage 1 of their Drought Contingency Plan. Grapevine will comply with TRWD’s request to implement Stage 1 of our Drought Contingency Plan effective August 29, 2011. This Stage 1 implementation is a result of the combined storage in TRWD reservoirs declining to 75% of the reservoirs’ capacity which is the trigger for Stage 1 implementation. The goal of this measure is to conserve our water supplies until the reservoirs are replenished by rainfall and runoff. With Stage 1 implementation, Grapevine will enact TRWD’s recommended watering schedule which includes an odd, even watering schedule. For additional information visit www.savetarrantwater.com, click on “water restrictions” tab on the left. Twice-per-week watering restrictions will be mandatory. Monday - No Watering Allowed Tuesday and Friday - Non-residential (Apartments, Business, Parks and Common Areas) Wednesday and Saturday -Residential Addresses ending in 0,2,4,6,8 Thursday and Sunday - Residential Addresses ending in 1,3,5,7,9 Watering between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm continues to be prohibited every day of the week. Save Water. Nothing Can Replace it.

Ira E. Woods Trail Currently Closed Due to TXDOT Construction

Trail Mileage Marking System

Eatzi's Coming to Grapevine!

Eatzi’s will open a “flagship” store in Grapevine at the corner of William D. Tate Avenue and State Highway 114 (in the former Luby’s location) that will prepare and sell chef quality meals, specialty groceries, a coffee bar and a bakery in approximately 10,000 square feet. Eatzi’s has also committed to open a smaller location in Grapevine within the next three years. The Grapevine flagship location of Eatzi’s is expected to open approximately mid-2012. The second location will follow within the next three years.
