Blogging is about posting or reading an article and also get interact with other people in comments. Would it be cool to have click comment widget on your blog?

bla.st - Graphic Identity card submission

Has anyone hear about

bla.st ? It's an interesting website where you can upload your business card for free and they will show your card to other member in card ranking system.

Card rankings will change over time as cards expire, and new cards are added.
If you want to boost your card rank, you can add money to be placed above the free cards. Pay as little as 1c/day* to be placed above the free cards.

Synchronizing a bla.st widget to your blog or site is easy. It can be targeted to a particular category and subcategory, giving your visitors a useful, interesting, and relevant mini directory. The good news is that you can be part of bla.st Referral Programme beta and earn money.

File requirement for each card submitted is clearly stated and another good news for you since they provide a template file to download.

I need to redesign what I got (logo and header), to create new card for bla.st card submission. I am using free version of Brian Kent's fonts ( Jeopradize Thick and Yearend ) and also Matt Perkins's ( Mercury Blob ). Few tips to attract visitor are: the card should mention what topics you blog about, and your card should have professional look.

He he he, I tell you what, it was quite dizzy moment for me to manage graphics and to create big, clear text within exactly 270 x 165 pixels in size. So I'm not sure if my card fits best to those requirement tips. My text is cluttered at the corner and you might think the same about it.

Pick one font that you would like to view at the font menu:

You can see all the characters of the fonts on your computer as Font Mate shows them in grid box panels. Click on a box of the font that you want to see.

After you chose a font, at the left-bottom corner of the window, you can see larger thumbnail preview. Below the preview box, ASCII and Hex values for related font are included. You can copy any character to the clipboard to paste into other applications. Print a sample sheet for any font is easy Go to the menu File > Print Sample or Ctrl + P.

My Favatar is a new web tool service which provides free hosting for your favatar and favicon. To register is simple, you will be asked for username, password, and email address. After that you will receive an email to verify your account.

What is Favatar?
Do you know what favatar is? Favatar constitutes to Favorite Avatar. If you post a comment somewhere to other blog, then you will see your Favatar displayed next to your comment. A comment form will need your name, your email address, and your site URL. Just remember to submit the same email address that you use when you register to Favatar. By this way, your Favatar will always active even your blog is not in the same platform with the blog that you commented on.

What is Favicon?
Favicon is Favorite Icon displayed on your browser tabs and at the left hand corner of the URL address bar. It is important to have a favicon logo to build identity for your blog or site.

The favicon file ends with .ICO and if you have a blog or site hosted in a prepaid web hosting service, it will be easy for you to upload your file. But if your blog platform is free, it is rather difficult for you to find free hosting for favicon.
My Favatar allows you to upload your favicon in different graphic format. Just upload your 32×32 pixel size graphic logo (the format should be: .BMP, .GIF .PNG or .JPG.) to My Favatar, and get this code to install:

The words “your image name” should be the same with your image name and copy then paste in before the < / head> tag on your blog HTML template to install.

One of my friend, Alwin Sanjaya reviewed this widget on his blog. I was courious about it and only now I have a chance to install this Web 2 PDF Online widget to one of my blog, Graphic Identity Tutorial and the result is great. For now you can always save my tutorial articles in PDF files format.

If you want to have one of this, simply create a new account to http://web2.pdfonline.com/ and submit the site URL where you want this widget script code will be put to your template. It is absolutely easy and it is free.

Once you registered, you can set the page orientation and margins. If you need any change you can always reset to default anytime. Generate the code and copy the script then paste to your html template.

You can also convert any web page to a PDF file directly to your account setting dashboard on Web2PDF Online.

This widget works better in Firefox Browser. Take sometimes to process especially for huge file.
