The newly formed “Grateful Fred Ukulele Orchestra” played it’s second public performance on Saturday at the iconic Liverpool music venue “The Lomax“.

We played 4 songs and had an absolutely fabulous time.

Tickets are now on sale for our next great Grateful Fred Night on Wednesday 12th June with the fabulous Lynne Hanson from Canada by way of Austin, Texas and all points in between.

Support is from the “Goat Roper Band” who have been making headlines wherever they play and of course, we, the Grateful Fred Band, will open proceedings.

Tickets are now on sale at The Olde Bookshop in Brows Lane, Formby and Quicksilver Music, Market Street, Southport for what’s promising to be a great night of “live” acoustic music with the wonderful Nels Andrews, from Santa Cruz, California (lucky bugger!!) and Liverpool’s own The Good Intentions.

Nels will also be appearing on The Billy Butler Radio Show on BBC Radio Merseyside in the afternoon of 1st May. Billy has been a wonderful supporter of Grateful Fred’s and each month usually features a “live” session from the artist playing that night at GF’s.

If you know anyone that loves “live” music why not ask them to join you at Grateful Fred’s on the 1st of May?

On Wednesday (3rd April) we’re presenting what is probably our biggest line-up yet when we have two wonderful US acts playing at Grateful Fred’s.

Not only do we have the fabulous “Birds Of Chicago” who are one of the best “live” acts on the Americana and acoustic circuit but we also have the wonderful “Peter Mulvey” from Wisconsin, USA who has been personally recommended by Josh Harty amongst others.

It’s possibly our biggest challenge “sound-equipment-wise” and our sound guys will be really stretched but it promises to be a night not to be missed.

All that for £8.00.

(Plus us, Grateful Fred, of course).

I hope you can join us to celebrate our most challenging Grateful Fred Night to date.

I cant’ wait for the Birds Of Chicago on Wednesday 3rd of April.

Our next Grateful Fred Night is on Wednesday the 3rd of April when we have 2 guest artists from the USA plus ourselves, “Grateful Fred”.

Headliners are the wonderful “Birds Of Chicago” who will be appearing as a 4-piece band and who I know will “knock your socks off” with their great songs and “live” show.

We’ve just heard that Roger, one of the great supporters and friend of Grateful Fred’s, Liverpol Acoustic and Americana Dustbowl is in hospital. We’d just like to wish Roger a speedy recovery and hope that he’s back with us soon.
