Renting a Car or Going Carless?

If you are staying in a condo that is right next to one of the free town bus stops, there is a big argument against the of a car (the Rhodes' condo and Jeff's condo at Black Bear for eg., also the Grand Lodge condos!). The town bus will take you everywhere important in Crested Butte, including the market.

If you are staying at the San Moritz (Anne's condo, Ohio's condo, Jerry's condo, Robin's condo, Susan's condo, Gail's condo), use the building's free shuttle! they have 2 free shuttles that run from 8 am till midnight in the winter - it is a door to door service, both directions. Just get the number of the driver at checkin.

If you go carless, you still need to get to CB from Gunnison. Use the Alpine Express, or if you are a big group, charter the ride thru Dolly's Mountain Shuttle.
