A really special place is The Wellington Inn in Traverse City. It is an old mansion, now b&amp;b with nine beautiful rooms. The inn keepers are wonderful and the inn is a few blocks from downtown where many of Traverse City's best restaurants are located.

We stayed overnight at a great b&amp;b, The Cloghaun www.cloghaun.com which has been in the same family for over 4 generations. It's an Irish b&amp;b and so perfectly situated just one block off of the Main Street on Market Street a block from the ferries.
