Google has essentially eliminated almost every weapon-related item from the Google Shopping search feature. If you search for rifles, pistols, shotguns, ammunition, scopes, and other accessories on Google Shopping, you are now likely to come up with few results or none at all.

This poses an inconvenience for many gunowners, because they will have to change their shopping habits. The obvious choice is to move to Bing Shopping or Yahoo Shopping. Some shoppers may choose to use Google's general search feature to find stores that sell weapon-related products and visit each online store individually to look for products and pricing. Other shoppers may just do things the old way and stick with the stores they already know and pay whatever those stores happen to be charging for the products they want. Others may find more creative alternatives.

If you are a gunowner, how do you plan to work around the weapon-related product ban on Google Shopping?
At some point, some psychotic decision maker at the Drudge Report decided the main page needs to be refreshed every three minutes. It is hard to imagine the news cycle has gotten so hectic that we must be immediately updated on the events of the last three minutes. Can't we wait a full five minutes to find out Barack Obama once gave a speech about the benefits of selling the Washington Monument to China?

The reality of the situation is probably the Drudge Report is just trying to boost their advertising impressions or pump up a page hit count. The sad thing is you are the victim of this annoying profit-generating, prestige-inflating feature. Isn't it annoying when you are just about to click on a sensationalized headline to find out just how much it is misrepresenting the actual content of the linked article and the Drudge Report suddenly auto-refreshes on you? Don't you hate having to wait for the page to reload so you can search for your selection again?

Well, here's how you can stop this irritating nonsense from the Drudge Report:

Open the http://www.drudgereport.com in your browser.

Click on Tools | Internet Options.

The Internet Options screen will appear.

Click on the Security tab.

Click on the Restricted sites icon from the Select a zone to view or change security settings field.

Click on the Sites button.

The Restricted sites screen will appear.

Make sure http://www.drudgereport.com appears in the Add this website to the zone field.

Click the Add button to add the page to your list of restricted sites in the Websites field.

Click the Close button to save your changes.

Once you have followed these easy steps, you will be free from the Drudge Report's annoying and excessive automatic page refresh feature.

By the way, don't trust those exciting and alarming headlines on the Drudge Report. Take the time to actually read the linked articles and get the full story. You will be amazed how much the content of the articles differ from the headlines on the Drudge Report.

Empowerment Experiment a Bold Public Display of Blatant Racism

The Empowerment Experiment is a movement in which participants agree to patronize only Black-owned businesses. For example, CBS ran a story on the news this morning about John and Maggie Anderson. The story followed the openly racist, Andersons as they traveled all over town seeking out and patronizing Black businesses exclusively. CBS barely addressed the racist facet of their activities and their movement.

Can you imagine if a White couple announced they were going to buy from only White-owned businesses and were going around in public and encouraging other Whites to do the same? CBS would never cover the story in a positive light. CBS might cover the story, but the angle would be "White Trash Hicks Get Racist with Their Wallets."

The Empowerment Experiment is completely racist and disgusting. People have a right to shop wherever they want to shop, but anyone who chooses to shop based on color should be ashamed of themselves. A civilized person shops where he gets good products and services at fair prices. Anyone shopping based on color is a sad, pathetic racist. Any reporter who reports on this sort of activity and ignores the racist implications is an intellectually dishonest hypocrite.

Oprah Winfrey Is the Most Famous Racist in America

Oprah Winfrey’s recent refusal to have Governor Sarah Palin on her show before the 2008 election has exposed a truth many have suspected for a long time. Oprah Winfrey is a racist, and she has made that glaringly clear by using her show and celebrity to blindly campaign for Senator Barack Obama while rejecting the idea of allowing Governor Palin to appear on her show during the campaign.

Oprah portrays herself as an “every woman.” She presents herself as the voice of the women of America. So, with Governor Palin being only the second female Vice Presidential candidate on a major political ticket in the history of America, why would Oprah not have her on? Clearly, Palin would be an interesting interview. The episode would get incredible ratings and make a lot of money. So, why does Oprah not want Palin on her show?

The answer is simple: Governor Palin is White. An appearance on Oprah’s show would get votes for Palin and help her win. Even though, Palin is an excellent female role model, Oprah cannot allow her to win, because that might hurt her Black candidate. What if Governor Palin were a Black woman? You can be sure Oprah would have had Palin on the month she became Governor and would have had her on again the week she announced for VP.

Oprah wants a Black President, and Obama is her only hope at this point. If Barack Obama were White, do you think Oprah would be backing him so vigorously? There have been many candidates with Obama’s political positions. Has Oprah ever campaigned for one of them? Oprah does not care nearly as much about politics as she cares about race.

Oprah’s racism goes far beyond the political realm. Time and time again, we have seen Oprah celebrate the accomplishments of Black people while ignoring the accomplishments of Whites, Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, East Indians, American Indians, etc. Why is it that the appearances of Black actors on her show is disproportionate to the number of appearances by White actors? Sure, Oprah has White actors like Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts on her show, but how often do we see Oprah pay tribute to lives of Jamie Foxx and Angela Bassett? These stars are not equal in their successes, but you would never know that by seeing how they are treated by Oprah.

Even more ridiculous is the way Oprah worships Toni Morrison while ignoring much better writers of other races. If Toni Morrison where Asian, do you think Oprah would have had her on her show so many times?

Why does Oprah complain about the condition of schools in America, but she runs off to start schools in Africa? Bangladesh and Cambodia are terribly impoverished countries. Why does Oprah not do anything about their schools? Why does Oprah always talk about how difficult life is for Black children in poverty, but rarely mentions poor children from other races?

The evidence is clear. Oprah greatly favors her race over all other races. It is Oprah’s right to do this, but it does not mean she should not be exposed for what she is. Oprah Winfrey is a blatant racist. Not only is she a racist, Oprah Winfrey is the most famous racist in America.

Mysterious Cord on New York Times Photo

The New York Times has an odd photo on their Web site. The photo is of a woman in shorts standing in front of a group of military men. The odd thing about the photo is there is a portion of a microphone cord on the stage; however, the cord seems to mysteriously end a foot above the stage.

If you trace the expected path of the missing microphone cord, you can see some odd blurring. Some of the soldiers’ faces are smeared, and there is a strange, thin smudge running up the back wall of the room. The image oddities are all in the area where the rest of the microphone cord would be.

Has this photograph, taken by Jim Wilson, been doctored to remove the cord? If so, why?

Without the cord, it looks like a bunch or soldiers are ogling a sexy dancer. With the cord, it would appear that the soldiers are watching a singer or speaker. You cannot watch or read news about Iraq without repeatedly being assaulted by the running tally of dead soldiers.

The mainstream press defends themselves by saying that they are honoring the dead by reminding America of their sacrifice, but this is just the way the press justifies the daily grim tales of soldiers killed in action.

CBS NEWS is the worst offender and has the deepest obsession with the death count. If you do not believe this, watch any CBS NEWS program. You will not go more than thirty minutes without seeing a huge red graphic splashed across your screen showing you the body count as of the last hour. Along with the graphic, you will see a sad-faced reporter telling you about how more soldiers have been killed by insurgents.

CBS NEWS is not the only offender. NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox NEWS, etc. are all guilty of obsessing over every loss in Iraq. They are pretending to be concerned, but they do not really care as much as they want you to believe. They love to show the body count because we are Americans, we love our soldiers, and the press knows we will always have an emotional reaction to the body count. That is why they show it. They know it will get our attention, and since most of the mainstream press is liberal, they hope the rising body count will sway our support for the Iraq War.

Even worse than the obsessive reporting of the body count is the press’ desire to celebrate milestones in the death tolls. Remember how energized the press got back when the Iraq body count got into the 900s? The press could not contain themselves. Even when the body count was still in the 950s, the press started using phrases like, “death toll approaching 1,000,” “nearly 1,000 dead,” and “almost 1,000 killed.” The press was almost eager in their anticipation of the body count reaching four digits.

We saw the press get energized once more when the body count got into the 1,900s. The press then started using phrases like, “close to 2,000 killed,” “death toll climbing to 2,000,” and “dead soldiers could soon total 2,000.” When the body count finally did hit 2,000, the press jumped into action and reported it relentlessly for days. Why should the press make such a big issue out of the milestones? Was not the 1,999th soldier killed as important as the 2,000th?

Unfortunately, the death toll in Iraq does continue to rise. At some point, the numbers may get just far enough past 2,000 that reporters start feeling comfortable using the phrase “thousands killed.” Let us all hope that never happens.

It is important that we remember our fallen soldiers. Their sacrifices must never be forgotten; however, when we speak of their deaths, we should do it with honor and dignity. We should never exploit the deaths of courageous soldiers just to write attention-grabbing headlines to boost ratings or promote political agendas.

Seventy-One Percent of Iraqis Are Happy, But ABCNEWS Is Not

Today, ABCNEWS released the normal "Here’s good news, but don’t believe it" story. The story is about a recent poll in Iraq that reveals Iraqis have a fairly positive outlook on life in Iraq. Even though the poll results indicate that America is making some good progress in Iraq, Gary Langer and Jon Cohen of ABCNEWS will not let you believe it.

The negative tone of the story is evident in the opening paragraphs. Here are some examples of sentences that show the liberal, manipulative bias of ABCNEWS.

"Surprising levels of optimism prevail in Iraq with living conditions improved, security more a national worry than a local one, and expectations for the future high."

"Despite the daily violence there, most living conditions are rated positively, seven in 10 Iraqis say their own lives are going well…"

"Surprisingly, given the insurgents' attacks on Iraqi civilians, more than six in 10 Iraqis feel very safe in their own neighborhoods…"

These sentences start with "surprising," "despite," and "surprisingly." The writers want you to know that they are baffled by how Iraqis could possibly be positive. ABCNEWS is quite confident that Iraq is a disaster, and they just do not understand why the Iraqis have not figured this out yet.

The message that ABCNEWS is sending you with this story is "Iraqis are happy with the results of the Iraq War, but that’s just because the Iraqis are clueless. If they really knew how evil the United States is, they would be just as miserable as American liberals."

ABCNEWS makes a big issue of the less favorable numbers in the poll and goes into detail about all of the reasons that catastrophe must be inevitable in Iraq. The biggest point that ABCNEWS makes with this story is that 71% of Iraqis say things are going well in their lives; however, only 44% say things are going well in their country. Why this huge discrepancy? Maybe most Iraqis are actually doing well, but they perceive that things are not so good in their country. Hmm. Maybe 56% of Iraqis watch ABCNEWS.

Click here to read the original article: "Poll: Broad Optimism in Iraq, But Also Deep Divisions Among Groups"

Media Opinion

What is your opinion of the media?

Privacy Policy

This site accepts ads from Google, Amazon, and—on rare occasion—other minor advertisers.
